More about the box from the editors at Allure:

South Korea and Japan have given the beauty world many gifts — cleansing balms, glass-skin serums, inventive masks for making skin gleam. And at this time of unprecedented violence against Asians in this country, the Allure family is more passionate than ever about championing Asian innovation and Asian voices. We will speak out against racism and intolerance and do more than ever to support Asian-owned beauty brands, starting with this special edition of the Allure Beauty Box. Inside are some of the most influential K-beauty and J-beauty products of all time — ones that have revolutionized our editors’ routines and the entire beauty industry. Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum is an innovative prep step for glowing skin (one bottle is sold every 10 seconds worldwide) and AHC Essential Real Eye Cream for Face, a unique eye and face cream hybrid, is cherished in South Korea (where one is sold every three seconds.) We hope they become as beloved by you as they are by us! I LOVE the peach and lily glass skin! LOVE! Cannot wait for more!
Also excited for the AHC eye cream for face and the UZ liner – have heard great things about both.
The rest I’ll give to sons’ GFs.

I can not believe how much they are selling this for >.<

Lisa

How do non-subscribers get the limited edition? Every time I try it asks me to sign in.

Reply ButtonReply

Nat

I would guess you have to create an account so they would know where to send your stuff to plus bombard you with marketing emails.

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

Lol that’s funny. But it says non-subscribers yet in order to make an account you need to pick a subscription option. Wtf?

Linda

Nat, that is hilarious, because they will, just like all of these beauty boxes. I think I’m getting burned out.

I have heard so many great things about that eyeliner. I would really love to try it. I am still considering this box!

Just a little fyi: The Sulwhasoo First Care Serum has ‘Alcohol Denat.’ listed as the 2nd ingredient…

Reply ButtonReply

Charlotte

Yeah, I don’t love that. Even if you don’t have sensitive skin that reacts to denatured alcohol (and I do), it will still damage your skin’s moisture barrier over time.

Reply ButtonReply

Julia

Is that why it felt so wonderful on my face?

Reply ButtonReply

Autumn P

Probably not the reason…Lol. Glad it feels good for ya! But the alcohol, (in skincare), over time, will lead to premature aging…as well as can wreck havoc for some ppl, (tht have more sensitive skin) & could eventually lead to scarring, etc.

Alice

I have personally tried most of these items, and they are all really really good products that I would use. Not to mention the Sulwashoo and Amorepacific samples are worth as much as full size items…

UZ liner is my forever HG. Nothing comes close of it. It just glide so well and does not smudge, ever. But I do have a bunch of backups and prefer my liner in brown.

I am so mad that I bought May box thur Amazon this month… Would definitely have signed up for it thur Allure directly if I knew that this was coming…

Alice do you receive the new member gifts when you sign up through Amazon?

Alice

No new member gifts through Amazon. T.T

Snow

Unfortunately no

The closest thing to the UZ eyeliner I’ve used is Clio Kill Black/Kill Brown brush liner. But UZ is actually more affordable and smoother!

Linda

I buy my K-Beauty through Facetory for cheaper and I don’t get sucked into anything.

Iggy'sRock

Agree. I just wish you would get spoilers before your card is charged.

Nancy Su

The UZ Eye Opening Eyeliner is my ride-or-die liquid liner! Once it’s on it does NOT budge 🙂 I’ll probably order this for the eyeliner and AHC cream alone.

Glad to hear the positive review about the eyeliner. That is one of the products that drew me to this box.

JuJu

Wouldn’t even want this for free…

It seems tht with over-saturation of these “beauty” boxes is starting to catch up. I do believe the value is definitely there, as far as if they weren’t offered, at a discount, in these sub boxes – it would end up costing way more going out and purchasing these items individually. But, ppl are burnt out and stockpiled up & they seem to definitely have too much stock of a lot of the same things…I seen someone below commented tht they were surprised the ABH Moondust palette wasn’t included. (Something like that). Lol! So true!!

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

It is makeup and skin care in the end anyway. They do go bad and you only have one face!!!

I used to be able to sell or exchange most of the extra items I got from boxes, but it has been getting harder and harder to get rid of stuff efficiently. And I personally only have 1 active subscription at the time, and I still have a year or two worth of products to go through… And I am someone who uses a medicine cabinet full of products in my morning and night rotations…

Even for bad boxes, the value is still there. How can it not be when you are paying less than $5 for an item? But still, if you can’t use it, it is money wasted. And if you are picky, it is much better to get shop the sales and buy what you really like.

SBR

I’m tempted for the peach & lily and AHC eye cream but I am going to hold out until I finish the peach & lily serum that i got from ABB🤪.

Snow

I swear I have never seen an ingredient list as long as what is listed for that AHC cream. It’s kind of mind boggling actually.

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

It is insane. But in the end I really do like it.

JesCro

I like several of these products, but not at this price point. I would rather just buy the full-size of the NatureLab line and avoid the less-exciting products (the peeling gel, for instance).

Reply ButtonReply

Kim

This peeling gel is actually pretty good! I don’t typically like these types of peeling products because I don’t feel like they do anything other tha. pill up on itself, but this one feels like it actually does something. Just my experience with the Saturday Skin peel gel in case others wonder 🙂

I love Peach and Lily glass serum and purchased this box since I just opened my backup. Love the Suwahsoo & Amore Pacific brands too!

Reply ButtonReply

Dea

So the euphemism for “clearing the warehouse” is “limited edition box.”

Hahahahahahahahahaha.

Reply ButtonReply

Sherri

Yeah, I was really excited about this box when I got the email – a year or so ago they offered a great LE K-beauty box – but then I realized this was all leftovers. I suppose that’s great if a few of the items are your favorites, but otherwise, it’s a bit of a let down.

Reply ButtonReply

Anne

haha, I totally fall into category A – when I saw there was a full-sized Peach & Lily glass skin serum (which I love!), I was in! Since the big bottle costs $39 and up (+tax) at Ulta, Amazon, Peach&Lily, and pretty much every other site I’ve looked at, it’s a total bargain for me; The $40 box breaks down to one $39 product that I’d buy anyway, and then $1 for a whole bunch of other stuff. 😀
If none of the stuff in there works for you, though, I get that it’d be a total waste. :/

Snow

Well said Dea!! Surprised they didn’t add the moonstone palette as a gwp lol.

echo

But you can still get it if you want! For sale $15 in the member section! 😂

Shannon

EXACTLY!

Yeah it’s like why you offering boxes to subscribers only that is full do stuff you already sent. Um, no thanks!
