The Picture of the REN sunscreen shows only 1.7 oz how is that full size? And the Living Proof is only 2 plus oz! I have the full size of the Living Proof and it has 6.2 oz! 🤬 WTF!

Laurel

They clearly state that The Living Proof spray isn’t full sized and Alina is correct high end sunscreen such as La Prairie, La Mer and even a more mid range Skinceuticals are all 1.7 ounces, at $150-$100 I would be thrilled to receive them in a $25 subscription box.
The Ren sunscreen retails at $38 so it’s like getting a discount on the sunscreen and the other deluxe sample items for free. I think that’s a pretty fair value for your $25.

Alina

Most good quality facial sunscreens are less than 2 oz. This is considered full size. Also, the living proof doesn’t claim to be full size, it’s just larger than a sample size.

HELLO DO YOU SHIP TO LOCKS IN MIAMI FOR THOSE WHO LIVE IN OTHER COUNTRIES ??

Michelle

This question would be better suited for the company not a blog.

I’m thrilled with the two spoilers and some of the names for other stuff that could be in the box. I’ve been really enjoying this box

Noreysol

OH I am fully excited about this one! First off finally some SPF! and full size mineral! That brand of hair products is great! Just those two things make excited for the June box.

I just wanted to throw in my opinion about the Ren sunscreen since a few in this thread don’t like it. It is mattifying so it was drying but after I adjusted my routine to account for that, I love it.

It has a faint citronella scent that I don’t love but got used to after a week so I hardly notice now. I’ve used other Ren products and the scent is less strong with this product. I have light toned, non-sensitive skin, and aging skin and have NO white cast. It is a great sunscreen but obviously won’t work for everyone. I wore powder because my last sunscreen left me shiny and I love that the Ren is mattifying!

I got this sunscreen in the Sephora kit. Maybe it’s just my skin, but it was tacky, pilled, didn’t rub in and left a cast. I’m fair skinned..not pale but it is extremely rare for me to get a white cast. I don’t usually hate sunscreen. I’m obsessed with sunscreen and this was possibly my biggest miss ever.

Nicole

I am also fair skinned and had the same experience. Pilling is a deal breaker for me. Anything that doesn’t play well with my other products goes straight to the garbage. The cast was horrible. Definitely not my cup of tea.

Jacki

Agreed. I could not wait to get home and wash this sunscreen off. I love the yearly Sephora kit. I always find some I love in it.

I still love this box but it has gone downhill and it looks like there will be 5 products total like last month with Naturalpathica ?Estée Lauder , and Avene

Reply ButtonReply

Nat

Naturapathica is awesome. It was featured in The Detox Box and I believe they also had it in this box as well. Their products are wonderful for sensitive skin

JoJoB

Thank you for the tip Luna! 🙂

Luna

Hi Jojo! Just a heads up… I’ve seen quite a few Naturapathica products at TJ Maxx this year for super cheap (including the cleansing balm!)…. I think they’re there due to a recent rebranding so it might be worth checking out if you have one near you! 🙂

JoJoB

Nat I agree! I got a sample of their cleaning balm somewhere and it might be my favorite cleansing balm I’ve ever tried. It was the honey one. I’d love to try something else from them.

Shea

I’ve already received this same sunscreen in beautyfix last year! It wasn’t full-size but I never used it! I’m canceling beautyfix I used to love it! But, I don’t want repeat products & it seems like every month the box gets smaller & smaller!

TK

So far not great for me. The Living Proof products are an instant migraine for me. I have a sunscreen from Skinbetter that I love! But… I almost always find something in this box that I’m happy to try and the other items get passed along.

Ranee

Looks like another pass for me…

Nikkim

I hate the smell of that sunscreen but people absolutely love it. It is a good formula. This isnt enough to snag me back but they look pretty good so far

Dea

I got a sample of this sunscreen in the Sephora sun safety kit and agree with the MSA reviewer that it was the miss in the kit. Leaves a white cast on the skin. I used it up on my arms instead. I don’t spray stuff in my hair so I’ll pass on this month.

Nat

This looks good to me. I’ve used this trial size Ren before and I like it. Like Ren in general. Would love a full size. Let’s see some more

Missy

When I saw these on fb yesterday I canceled. 😢 the problem with this box is if you don’t want the full size item then the samples aren’t worth $25. The old boxes had more like 10 deluxe or sample sizes and it could be worth it. I don’t care for ren or need the full size sunscreen so the rest won’t be worth $25. Sad this box has gone down hill.

If you go back and look at BeautyFix boxes from 2019 and earlier, it’s clear that it has gone downhill. We used to receive 3-4 full size, amazing products plus some deluxe samples. Now we’re lucky if we get 2 full sized products and the samples are diminishing too. BeautyFix used to be my absolute favorite, and I haven’t gotten it in 6 months or so.

For anyone claiming this box hasn’t gone downhill, please check out the boxes from a few years ago, even 18 months ago. It’s mind-boggling how things have changed.

Snow

I know the boxes definitely had more products in them in the past and shipping was always free, so I think that is a bummer. I’m wondering if there will be another full size item, but like the summer leaning products.

I recently went through all my skincare items and wrote each expiration date right on the boxes. I realized A I really don’t need anything and B K-beauty products all seem to have the expiration dates right on them which is extremely helpful while the US does not (I wonder why?) It was eye opening for me to do this because now I have proof before me that I really don’t need certain items.

Sara

Not worth it. Worst box. Had to cancelled. You only get one full size item the rest are sample sizes, I don’t like small things that you will only get 5 uses or less out of them. Tried 2 boxes and I am done for ever.

Pam

This box has definitely not going downhill. This is one of the very few boxes that doesn’t contain Alibaba or made in China products. I’ll take one full size product from a known company versus 4 full size from a white label brand.

Reply ButtonReply

Stephanie

I agree too! BeautyFix, Macy’s, Sephore Play (when it was around) all had quality vetted products. People complained all the time of these boxes because of the sizes comparing them to IGBP but Ipsy always has alibaba/white label/cheap-masquerading as indie products in their boxes. Of course you can get 5 full sizes for $25 when 3 of the products cost less then 2 dollars each.

Noosh

I so agree with you Pam! Of all the beauty boxes I’ve subscribed to, this is the only one that’s remained consistent in value and quality! I dropped ALL of my subscriptions last year during covid and BeautyFIX is the only one that gave me FOMO.
I’ve done the math and some of the smaller samples from dermstore turn out to be worth around $20 (ie most skinceuticals samples). I’ve found a bunch of my HG’s from them! And their customer service is unmatched. Idk they’ve just never disappointed me.

Ana

I totally agree. Well at least it’s more money in my pocket for stuff I actually like.
