Rocksbox Jewelry March 2021 Review + New Perk + First Month Free!

Rocksbox is a jewelry styling and renting service. Members pay a flat rate every month to get unlimited access to the Rocksbox collection and the option to buy the pieces they love most at a discounted price. Right now, you can even get your first month of Rocksbox membership for free!

(Read on to learn how, or check out our list of other free subscription boxes here!)

FYI – COVID-19 Update: You can read about how Rocksbox is committed to the safety of its team, subscribers, and community here.

Upon subscribing, you’ll take a “style survey” so Rocksbox can suggest jewelry pieces that fit your style. You can also browse their catalog and add pieces to your wishlist. Each month, Rocksbox will curate sets of three pieces to send your way, including at least one piece from your wishlist.

Try on the items from the box and wear them as long as you’d like. From there, you have two choices. If you love any of the pieces enough to want to keep them, you can put your monthly “Shine Credit” towards your purchase.

Or, if you’re ready for another style, return your box using the free shipping label and reusable envelope you got with your shipment. Shortly after, you’ll get a brand new box of jewelry to enjoy!

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This makes it even easier to add to your collection.

Now, let’s take a peek at my delivery this month!

Here’s the info booklet that came with the jewelry set. It includes a product list with retail and member-specific pricing. Also included was a jewelry care card.

A free return shipping label is also at the bottom of the box.

FYI: The outer envelope that Rocksbox ships inside doubles as a return shipping envelope! Be careful as you cut it open—there’s a second adhesive strip that can be used to reseal the envelope for its trip back.

Sophie Harper Initial Pave Stud – Retail Value $50.00, Member Price $42.00

Maybe it is the millennial in me, but I love an initial piece. I also love that M and W are essentially the same letter if you flip one upside down, so when these twist upside down on my lobes as I am sure they will, I can pretend its a W for Will, even though these little M’s were totally all about me! These are super tiny and encrusted with little CZ crystals which make them feel extra special. They are perfect for layering with other studs or huggies or just wearing alone.

M stands for ME!

Sophie x Sterling Pave Lock Necklace – Retail Value $75.00, Member Price $63.00

I am really into little delicate and sentimental pieces right now. I had a friend gift me a very tiny gold chain recently, and I am so into it because I can mix and match it with other necklaces, and because it is super delicate, I can wear it with earrings too and not feel like I have too much on. This little lock has a very similar vibe to me. It is tiny and delicate but totally sturdy enough to wear daily. The crystals add just enough subtle sparkle. At the smallest, it wears around 16 inches but can be extended an inch or two.

Here it is with my fave new gold chain!

Kendra Scott Ari Heart Huggie – Retail Value $48.00, Member Price $48.00

Finally, I was so happy to see these little huggies! Again, smaller, sweeter, and layerable! These little hearts have rose quartz in the center, which is a stone known for love. The complete circle huggies are cast in a lighter gold finish, meaning they look especially nice mixes with silver or actual gold.

The Verdict: My Rocksbox pieces this month were exactly my type. It is so funny because if you looked at my style from 2019 and earlier, I was all about the statement pieces. That is kind of the beauty of a subscription like this– you can try out new things, swap trends, and buy what you want, when you want, without having to purchase every new style and vibe outright. Because you can now shop items outside of your wishlist (and for a limited time, use your monthly credit!) buying exactly what you want, when you want just got a whole lot easier.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Every box is different and packed based on the customer’s tastes and what’s available at the time. You can, however, give the Rocksbox stylists a nudge by adding your favorite pieces to your wishlist!

COUPON: Use code MSAFREE15 to one month free + $15 extra credit for the shop.

Value Breakdown: Rocksbox membership costs $21.00 per month. At retail, the three pieces would cost me $173.00. With my Rocksbox discounts and the member pricing including the buy-all-three-items discount, and the $21.00 of Shine Credit (the membership fee for the month, which goes towards your purchases), and the $10.00 buy-all-three discount, that price drops to $122.00.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

  1. Thanks for modeling the pieces! I love Rocksbox (and keep telling myself I’ll take a hiatus next month but never do) but one of the bothersome things is not all pieces are modeled and size info isn’t as out front as I’d like it to be, so I don’t always know how big or small the jewelry is until I get it. I’m keeping the heart huggies on my wishlist because they are on the small side but in a good way.

  2. I love those two necklaces together!
