JustFab Review + First Look for $10 Coupon – April 2021

JustFab is a monthly clothing, shoes, and accessories subscription that allows you to shop in two ways — you can shop the regular store, or you can sign up for their VIP membership. VIP memberships work like this:

  • Take the Style quiz to note your size and style preferences.
  • Each month, JustFab releases a new collection and they will curate looks that match your preferences which you can view in your personalized Boutique
  • Shop those looks at 40% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $39.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
  • As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied towards future purchases.

FYI, COVID-19 Updates: Stay up-to-the-minute on shipping delays, return policy changes, and more right here.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

JustFab April 2021 Review

I get a lot of questions about how this subscription works and since it is a bit confusing I figured I’d walk you through the process:

Signing Up

The first step to signing up is taking a short quiz to answer some questions about your style, or you can just skip ahead and go straight into registering for an account with your name, email address, and shoe size. Then they will take you to your “boutique” which are some items they recommend for you. While the $10 offer seems like it can only be applied to shoes, it will also take 40% off any clothing or accessories, which will be the price shown in red. Once you go to check out, they may offer you some additional deals, so I recommend finding a few items and seeing how much you can save! Just a warning– they do sell out of items quickly, especially in certain sizes, so if you are in love with something, don’t hesitate!

First Purchase

Just for fun, I added these slide sandals to my cart. Now you can see they ring up as only $10 so long as you select that you are joining their VIP membership. I’ve also included the terms of their membership program. FYI – I have successfully canceled an account in the past without having to call in.

Here you can see the difference between the VIP savings (left) versus just shopping without a membership.

Monthly Membership

Each month you can avoid paying the $39.95 membership fee by simply going into “My Account” and selecting “Skip the Month.” Once it says “You’ve Skipped,” you can just forget about this until next month with no obligation to shop or buy. You could also shop that month to avoid the credit, but I much prefer skipping and then shopping at my leisure, or even better, waiting for a sale to shop! Also, you get points for shopping and for reviewing items you’ve purchased, which can be redeemed for discounts which can add up fairly quickly. Although, sometimes the way the credit applies to sale items can get a bit tricky, so you may have to play around with it a bit to make sure you’re getting the best deal.

Summary

  • It’s $10.00 for your first pair of shoes or 40% off clothing or accessories for your first purchase.
  • Set a reminder to skip each month so you don’t end up with a credit you don’t want.
  • Shop sales to maximize savings!

Cass Flat Sandal in Brown Leather – Retail Value $36.95, VIP Price $24.95

It is just about sandal season and I have seen cute versions of slides since last season and really wanted to try some. These looked like they would be cute enough to wear with a nice top, but casual enough to wear every day if I wanted since the brown color is very neutral. I was worried they would be super chunky looking with the braided material, but they are pretty low profile actually. That being said, it’s going to be an adjustment for me to walk in these! I’m just not used to a slide shoe and my clog days are long behind me, but I think I’ll be able to manage. I may just try to break these in around the house so I can save myself the embarrassment of tripping over my own feet in public!

Here they are on. I think they will pair nicely with shorts and a cute top!

Cozy Hoodie and Short Set in Tie Dye – Retail Value $72.95, VIP Price $49.95

Ay yi yi. This set! So when I was shopping I saw a cute pair of tie-dye shorts and I could use a new pair of lounge/pajama shorts so I had them in my cart, until I saw this set and realized it was just a little bit more for a hoodie, too. I really thought these were just regular cotton with a fun tie-dye pattern so it seemed like a no-brainer, but these are actually a super soft, thick Minky fabric. I don’t actually mind it, but it is a bit warmer than what I was looking for. While I could get over the material, the fit of the hoodie is so weird! I knew it was a bit of a crop, but since it was for lounging, I figured that sizing up to an XL would mean it would be decent enough to wear around the house, but it’s unbelievably short on me and really awkward looking. Plus the seam between the sleeves and body of the hoodie is at a really odd place which makes it look even more awkward.

Here is a closer look at the shorts. Luckily they fit okay, although they are definitely a bit snug, so I really don’t think they are true to size, but rather that they run pretty small.

The Verdict: This wasn’t a great month for me with JustFab. That hoodie set was just all wrong as far as the fit went, and I really wish the photos online were a bit clearer so I could have seen the fabric up close, although to be fair, maybe it’s just my eyes that weren’t capable of seeing the true nature of it! I did like the sandals a lot and can see myself getting a lot of use out of them, especially since they are so easy to slip on. I ended up paying a total of $52.89 with free shipping after taxes and while the hoodie set was a pretty big miss, I love knowing that I can return it for free and not lose out on anything!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! These items are still available.

COUPON: Get your first pair of shoes for $10! No coupon needed - just use this link.

Value Breakdown: The total retail value for these items is $109.90, and the VIP price is $74.90. I paid $52.89 which is a discount of about 52% off retail.

  1. All I can say is, thank goodness that they have a return policy because that tie dye set is, um, let’s just say returnable! And, if that is the XL, the sizing is way, way off because you look like a medium, Brandi.

I admire your ability to smile! 🙂

    • Haha thanks for keeping your message so positive, Maddie in PA! It’s definitely returnable! 😂 Hopefully next month will be better!
