Book of the Month May 2021 Selection Time + Coupon

I chose Ariadne but I’m kind of regretting not getting project Hail Mary instead.

“Things we lost in the water” “How Lucky” and “The last thing he told me” all three of those sound interesting, the other two sound extremely boring.

I grabbed four of the books. I did not find Imposter Syndrome that interesting.

I chose Ariadne and added on Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. I LOVED The Martian and I’m very excited for his new book. Ariadne seems in the same vein as Madeline Miller who I typically enjoy.

I was pleased with the choices this month! All the books I didn’t select, I put on my library holds list.

I picked Imposter Syndrome and added on Things We Lost to the Water. I considered adding How Lucky, too, but the writing sample didn’t grab me. I’m sure I’ll eventually get it from the library.

I miss the longer synopsis and info about each book.

I chose “How Lucky” because I like quirky novels with interesting writing. I considered Ariadne, but have read too many similar, heavy novels lately. Usually, I’m all over suspense, but from the same-old same-old graphics and font on the cover, to the description, I decided to pass on Laura Dave’s book because I feel like I’ve seen it all before. BUT – I’ll probably end up reading it eventually LOL.

I chose “impostor syndrome” and am regretting not adding “last thing he told me”.

I chose Ariadne this month. Hopefully I also receive Libertie this month as I got the wrong book last month.
