I just re-subscribed, but was really surprised by the $7.00 shipping charge on your first box. No shipping thereafter.

I subscribed to this box quite a few years ago and loved it, then they diverged to samples and I cancelled. Now boxes have improved again. I liked what I saw in reviews about April (which will be my first box since I signed up before the May 4th release of the May box). A few years ago I found my favorite SkinMedica moisturizer through a sample in the box and I’ve been buying and using ever since. They state plainly in the subscription details that you get 1 to 2 full size items and deluxe samples for the the rest. When I watched April unboxings I see that the deluxe samples are pretty huge.

I’m looking forward to both the April and May boxes. I’m going them a go again and will decide if I want to keep them or not after 3-4 months.

Quick question for everyone with recent experience – can you pause for a month like you can with most subscriptions?

No, pausing is not an option. You’ll have to cancel and re-subscribe, so paying almost $35 for the first box with tax and shipping.

To all those complaining about this skincare box can you tell me what other box is a better skin and hair box that you are subscribed to now? Don’t tell me Allure box or Ipsy because they are not a skin care box. Most of the box is samples of makeup with a few samples of skincare thrown in. I’ve tried them both. Just curious if I’m missing out on a different skincare box. Personally I love that Beautyfix focuses on skincare, it truly is a skincare and haircare box and that is why I am subscribed. I don’t compare it Allure, Macy’s or Ipsy to it because they seem to more focused on makeup. Curios if I am missing out on another true skin and hair box?

Agree that BeautyFix is not nearly as good as it used to be. You get 1 to 2 full size item and it’s packed with smaller samples. A lot of brands are not as mainstream. Now that they add another $7 for shipping, I doubt I’d get it. I don’t do makeup, and I’m happy that Ipsy gives us 3 choices to pick more skincare, body care and hair care items, and I pause very often. Even when I’m pausing, I can still buy high end samples for $3 each or $5 for 2, so I’m really able to stock up on good skincare via Ipsy (Tatcha Water Cream, Sunday Riley, 111skin face cream that retails $270, etc.) Also, Fabfitfun now has way more skincare options from major brands. I get Allure via Amazon, which is super easy to pause. Allure can be super heavy on skincare or super heavy on makeup. People from both camps complain about it. Can’t make everyone happy. Allure is hit or miss, some months are incredible value others are awful.
Anyone else with issues of comments not posting??

My absolute favorite is Test Tube New Beauty-I’ve discovered some favorites and they hit the mark with value and unique products. I’ve wanted to try Beauty Heroes for a while now, just a little too pricey but they value quality over quantity. Lately I’ve also been enjoying just trying out “once off” boxes; Trendmood box and Sephora Favorites

Vegan Cuts has a couple of boxes 1 with mainly skin and hair care

I’m strongly considering going back to this box. I subscribed for a couple years then fell away because they had a phase of sending only sample sizes. HOWEVER, they have really improved and now I think I need to cancel another box and sub again to this one. FYI, my favorite moisturizer on earth came as a deluxe sample in this box. I really do love BeautyFix and may be coming back to it.

Sorry, but Allure is mostly skincare with a little make-up from time to time. It’s hardly more focused on make-up like the others you name. In fact, the make-up lovers constantly complain here thst there isn’t enough of it in Allure. Most months, I think Allure is every bit as good for skin/ hair care and sometimes even better. They are decent products without tiny samples for the most part. When is the last time you got at least 3 full size products and a bunch of deluxe samples from Beautyfix? Because from what I’ve been seeing lately it’s been maybe 1 full size and a bunch of tiny samples.💁

I agree. I’m not sure when she was last subscribed to Ipsy or Allure, but they are both mostly skincare. Ipsy plus allows me to pick three of the five items, and skincare is always a choice. Allure just sent out that $150 serum, and May box is mostly all skincare. Beautyfix on the other hand has declined greatly.

There are several clean skin care subs that I like: Kinder Beauty, the naked beauty box, and nourish beauty box. Kinder has a mix of full size and deluxe samples, and I believe is around $26/month. If you get a 3- or 6-months sub, you are also getting a free box. Nourish and naked beauty are a bit pricier, but they are 100% clean skin care subs. All three are easy to skip and / or cancel. I usually get the box I like, then cancel and resub. I do not keep them on permanent bases, I just do not need that much skincare.

the last few months they have sent 1-2 less items and smaller items. FAIL

I have never subscribed to this Box. I have purchased when they have deals from time to time, but lately I have not felt even the slightest bit of FOMO when reading reveals of BF.

This box is a bummer, I cancelled.

So I actually skipped last month and it was the first time where I kept going back and looking at it and just really didn’t want the box. Which is really sad because it used to be my all-time favorite. They’re slipping but so are so many of the other ones, for the price I’m sure it’s worth it but I’m just like not impressed again.

I agree. Used to love this box and I would say at one point just about every month was great. I also agree that a lot of boxes are slipping. I’ve cancelled or skipped many boxes every month. I mainly get FabFitFun and that’s it. I’ve skipped the last 6 Ipsy bags, cancelled Ipsy Plus, cancelled Boxycharm and Allure awhile ago. Stopped getting New Beauty Testtube which I also loved but just not wowing me anymore. I can’t say the crop ruin box thing has run is course because there are so many but maybe that is the issue and there are too many. Or we are just on product overload which is also why I’ve cancelled and skipped. If I’m not wowed I don’t need it for I already have a lot I’m trying to get to.

Guess my positive comment about BF doesn’t show up even after being positive and loyal to MSA since nearly day one many, many years ago lol

I’m seeing two comments from Chris H., presumably both from you- sometimes it just takes a while for a comment to post I think?

Looks good! BF is one I will always keep. I am really loving the DermStore Day cream from April, something I never would have purchased otherwise. My skin loves it!

Five items only. Not for me. I do like Babor and have tried a few of their ampoules. They are lovely. Not worth to get the box for it.

7 single use ampoules? No thanks.

It would be great if BeautyFix did a cruelty-free / vegan box someday.

I still have not received my April box. I chatted with customer service yesterday and they were AMAZING! Refunded me as soon as they looked at the tracking and saw it has been sitting in Atlanta since April 15th (I live 1.4 hrs. from Atlanta-LOL) I didn’t even ask for a refund but they did it anyway. I am so pleased about that but I was looking forward to this month’s box. I have somehow never received a sample of the Kate Somerville cleanser that was in the box this month and I was really looking forward to trying it. Maybe it will show up eventually! I just wanted to make sure I commented on their amazing service because these days good customer service is really hard to find and I was truly impressed.

Agree! My bag stopped tracking mid-April and I reached out to CS expecting they would ask me to wait. They immediately offered to either refund or send me another one (i opted to get another one and have been happy with the box)

This same thing happened to me when my December box was sitting in Nevada for several weeks. Luckily, it eventually came several weeks later, so don’t lose hope!

I’ve always had the best experience with customer support, they go out of their way to get things right and that you are happy.

I’m excited for these two products. I’m sure the other three will be tiny. A little disappointed this box has gotten so small with the amount of products

Britt

They are tiny! But I like to keep the little sunscreens in my purse! Nice for reapplying on the go! 🙂

Doesn’t seem like a bad box, but I’m laughing a bit at the promised deluxe sample from La Roche Posay as most samples I’ve gotten from them have been comically small.

My thoughts exactly, “deluxe” samples, lol. Words are supposed to mean things.
