So upset my foundation in my box is definitely for an African American and I’m light to med beige my profile definitely states it. Is there a fix for this

I just watched a spoiler video on youtube and I am DEFINITELY canceling after this box. This is not what I thought I was signing up for. I don’t want tweezers, I don’t want brush cleaner – those are things I would buy if I needed them, not something I would be excited about getting in a beauty box. I’m really bummed. If you want to be surprised, don’t read on. Here’s what Elizabeth Wolfe said are the options for the base box for March:
Lime Crime Palette
TooFaced Mascara or Banana Souffle Moisturizer
Black Diamond Contour Gel
Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting spray
MannaKadar tweezer set
Kab Cosmetics lip oil (likely one of 4 shades)
Billion Dollar brows clear brow gel
Lavish brush cleaning system
Beauty Crop avocado eye masks (maybe a 3-pack of them? Possibly one set)
You could literally go to TJ Maxx and get the majority of this stuff for under 25. I am not happy about this. Hope there are people who are psyched about this box! Not for me. I will be going back to Ipsy or something instead and pay half price. I was happy about getting full sized items, but if they’re all things I don’t want or need, it doesn’t make sense to keep paying for it all. Sorry, Aleksas, I know I’m bi$%^ing again. 🙂

I felt like I needed to come back, with my tail tucked, to admit that I was too quick to be disappointed. I am actually quite pleased with my box! I got the too faced mascara and the lime crime palette, and the three other things weren’t even mentioned in the video I watched! I got an eyelid primer, which I always can use, a face mask which I am pleased with, I love masks, and a wash cloth. Meh. But overall, MUCH better than my February box!

Just FYI, my TJ maxx has the lime crime palette for $15. Or it might have been $13 actually. Been a couple weeks since I went.

I am so bummed my cancellation, which I did 3 days before the end of the month, on 2/25, did not go through and was renewed for another 3 months. man. I was ready to just get ipsy… or quit both.

This will be the 3rd time I’ve received a foundation or concealer that’s entirely too dark for my skin tone. My niece is biracial, and she can’t even wear them as they’re way too dark for her as well.. it’s getting very frustrating because I’d really love to try the brands! This month I got the fenty beauty foundation in the shade 420, and I’m pretty damn pale, so I’m not very happy.. anyone have any idea how to have this fixed??

My January box was absolutely amazing, so far I’ve held out and resisted the pop-up shop and skipped February and March. That way when a box spoiler comes along that I’m really into the box feels extra special. It’s okay to cancel for a couple months guys!

I can’t get over how disappointed people are on here. Like always. People are never satisfied. Everyone wants luxury brands at dirt cheap prices. Save your money and buy your own then. Problem solved like an adult. You want name brand, use your money and buy name brand. Some of us are here for the surprise and trying new brands. Btw just because you do not know a brand in the United States, does not mean that is not a big brand name in another country.

There’s no need to be nasty. We are all choosing to spend our money (or not, if we leave) on this product and we are allowed to be disappointed by the things we get if we don’t like them. If you love them, great! For me, it’s not being unsatisfied with not getting “name-brand” products, it’s getting products that are damaged (The eyeliner I got in my February box was broken in 4 pieces and I saw several other people say the same thing. The lip mask in my January box was completely separated and when i opened it, all of the oil spilled out. I tried to massage it to mix it, but it’s just unusable.) or being bummed that I got products I’ll never use (I was surprised to see the trestique mascara because online on all kinds of forums it has such poor reviews. I hate lip liner and I got that last month. I tried it anyway, because like you said, its good to try new products. It was super sharp and dry and not at all easy to use. I’ll never use it. And I have got 2 boxes so far and THREE black eyeliners.) Crossing my fingers for a good box this month. And I’m allowed to do that. And if I don’t like it, I will cancel my subscription. But I don’t like the insinuation that lighthearted commiserating with other subscribers is akin to not being an adult. Hope you get a great box this month!

We are buying a product, selling the product is Boxy Charm’s business.
I think most of us, understand that we do not get all high dollar items, in our boxes? We understand that is why we get 100’s of black eyeliners.
My issue is, you fill out a beauty profile and they do not follow it. They can send me all the orange and brown lippies and blushes, they will never work for me.
The damaged products and the lack of response from Boxy is an issue. Maybe since Ipsy now owns Boxy Charm, the customer service will improve?

All true PLUS Boxy does give you the chance to buy name brand at great prices in the PopUp shop. The only downside is you may have to make that choice without knowing whether that item is already in your box, so you have to decide if you’re okay with having two.

Rose is my jam! I’m hoping for the setting spray. Hopefully, it’s a light and non sticky formula for spring/summer. The palette is very pretty as well. I’m not impressed simply by the ridiculously high retail costs of these products. Some of my beauty faves are very reasonably priced.

I think I’m over Boxycharm. This will be my third box and I have yet to be blown away by anything. Actually, I love the Avant Micellar water and the farmacy daily greens gel moisturizer, but the Feb box was a total bust and the spoilers so far for march are blah.

Oh yay! I finally bit on the Violet Voss olive palette gift and $10 credit, so I was crossing fingers, especially because I never seem to have good luck with Boxy. That makes it worth it for me, such pretty colors that I rarely get in boxes.

If you are signed up for all 3, do you not get a choice for the base box? Bc the base box choices were better than the Lux/Premium IMHO. Or did I just not get a choice somehow?

March is a Luxe month so if you are signed up for Luxe, you don’t get a base box this month. Luxe replaces your base box during Luxe months

That’s a weird spoiler. The 111skin product retails for $140. Even with the ridiculous mark up and probable made in China label, you wouldn’t think it would somehow equal a setting spray.

111skin is probably from alibaba and just relabeled. I’m thinking that’s what’s going on with alit if these brands we’ve never heard of that you can’t buy in Sephora or Ulta.

Contour gels are 100% a waste of time anyway, at any hoity-toity MSRP. A bit of caffeine to make your blood vessels shrink for a few minutes, if at all. At least a nice-smelling setting spray is useful or easily giftable!
