Gwynnie Bee is a clothing rental subscription service that formerly catered to plus sizes only, but is now far more inclusive offering sizes 0-32! Gwynnie Bee allows you to select items you like that are put in a virtual closet. The chosen items in your virtual closet are sent to you at random, but you can select priority pieces to be sent to you first. Since I started using the service, I can say I always have a lot of fun with this box!

Gwynnie Bee also has a marketplace on their site where you can buy steeply discounted used rental pieces and brand new accessories, underwear, and workout gear as well!

Gwynnie Bee December 2020 Review

This review is for each of the three-at-a-time items:

Multi Color Stripe Dress by Connected Apparell, Size 20W — Retail Value $85.50

I closeted this dress because I felt it had rich colors that are great cooler months. A dress like this easily looks fantastic with black tights and neutral bone, tan, or black booties this time of year. I also selected it because it looked like it was made from incredibly stretchy fabric. The material definitely has lots of give, but I am wondering if I would have liked this more in the size 22W. The dress is ultimately comfortable and easy to wear, so I paired it effortlessly with black flats and orange/clear cateyes from Wherelight.com!

Blouson Sleeve Pink Sweater by Savannah Jane , Size 2x — Retail Value $36.00

Next to Halloween, Valentine's Day might be my favorite holiday! I get such joy seeing all the pink and red color combos-- and all the heart shaped things! That all being said, this sweater was a no brainer to closet. The pinks, white, and red color scheme just bring such a smile to my face. I styled the sweater with my Undoubtedly Mad Billy Madison Valentine earrings, jeans, and black flats. I wish I had shown it with a cute red skirt and red shoes to really make the sweetheart vibes pop that much more! I do like this sweater quite a bit, but I wish I had selected the 3x-- just for a roomier feel and look!

Floral Print Gold Tie Waist and Sleeve Dress, Size 20 — Retail Value $69.00

Winter is very much HERE. Sure, the grass is green in these photos, but these pictures were taken in between snow storms. This dress is adorable and I got my fingers crossed that it will summon an early spring! I love the yellow, pink, and white color scheme-- it is such a warm and precious combination of colors. I do think, like the other pieces, I could have stood to go up a size. This was rather tight across the bust and on the arm tie detail. I went simply and styled this cutie with my favorite off white booties (I am a poet and didn't know it!). I think this would look precious in the spring with adorable pink accent earrings, a denim jacket, and some white Converse Chucks for a comfortable and rather easy, breezy ensemble! This might work in the fall too with maroon colored tights, black combat boots, and an over sized black faux leather biker jacket for a homage to 90s grunge.

Verdict:

The pandemic has been a rough go for all us, eh? Gwynnie Bee, sad to say, you are no exception to these difficult times. I have had delays and even didn't receive any pieces in November to review. October, I at least received items, but they were out of season. It is frustrating for sure, but I am hoping that things improve now that we're in the new year! Let's hope 2021 brings a lot of fortune and killer fashions to us all, right?

Complaints aside, I do like Gwynnie Bee as a service. I have found so man great pieces at phenomenal prices. One of my favorite features they offer is the Gwynnie Bee Outlet. If you are looking for some killer deals, it is worth your while to check out their Outlet space that is exclusive to GB members!  I have spotted items on there for as low as $5! I also love that Gwynnie Bee often has sales on at home pieces and has a rewards program that you can apply credits to as well. They regularly, throughout the pandemic, have offered major discounts on the at home items. It is just a matter of having pieces at home to purchase.

The December box had some cute pieces, but I am extremely excited for the new year selections, aren't you?

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! All three pieces are available to rent.

Value Breakdown: Gwynnie Bee’s costs range depending on your subscription and how many items you are sent at a time. I have the $95.00 three-item-at-a-time plan. This includes free shipping and returns. I can get as many pieces as I like monthly, as long as I return each item first. I got three items this month. The three items total up to $190.50, which is 2x my monthly subscription fee. Not too shabby! However, imagine the even greater value had I sent these pieces back sooner and received additional pieces!

I really do like that sweater and think it would be perfect for Valentine’s Day. The dresses are pretty but NOT for a December box.

Do they happen to do any maternity clothes?

I don’t believe they do, but that actually would be pretty awesome! That is a really smart idea, Ashley, if a service like that doesn’t already exist!
