Pretty Vulgar is a vintage-inspired and cruelty-free makeup brand.
Just like our elegant feathered friends, our products are equally dainty and inspired by an eclectic vintage aesthetic. They bring back a timeless quality of generations past and are designed to look as good on you as they will on your vanity, yet are coupled with colorful shade names like “Backstabber" and “ My Ash” 😉

I just received my mystery box. Always wanted to try this brand. This is what I received:
1. Just Glow With It in Flirty Flush – Liquid Highlighter (Full Size – .68 fl.oz) ($30)
2. Flawless Wand Foundation Brush ($25)
3. Silent Treatment Matte Lip Moisturizer (Full Size)($20)
4. Faux Reals Extreme Volume Mascara (Full Size) ($23)
5. Nesting B!#%h Face Face Palette (Full Size) ($32)
Total value I received is $130 for $55 – the promised value was $138. I am ok with this. I do not have any of these products, but I don’t need another liquid highlighter (not a fan of them because they sometimes take off the make up, but I will try it) or mascara.

The palette looks just like the Nightingale palette I got from boxy, years ago. Are all of their palettes shaped the same? I didn’t think they were.

There are a number with the same shape, I think all under the “Throwing Shade” line. This one is likely the “Phoenix Rising” palette, given the “My Ash” name drop. It’s got a lot of browns, golds, and champagne tones it looks like, plus one gorgeous purple and a couple more unique shades. It’s actually kind of surprising it’s not an orange/red set, given the name! “My Ash” looks sort of to be a light brown tone. Overall it is a slightly warm toned palette, with a good range of light to dark.
I’m glad it’s not the Nightingale colorway, since I already bought that once at Sephora, then got it again later in Boxycharm? I think. (Worked out since I’d bought the first for a friend, and now I have one to wear.) But I probably won’t grab this box unless it goes on sale, since I don’t really need a glitter spray or another mascara.

I do know that there is a Pretty Bird palette that is shaped the exact same, but with brighter colors.

I bought it a couple days ago. Code PRETTY15 took 15% off, bringing it down to $46.75. I got it last year and enjoyed it.

I did this last year. It was a decent box – full sized products in generally wearable shades. I remember a liquid eyeliner, blush/highlight, mascara, foundation primer, and a lip gloss. Didn’t end up loving the formulations, but it wasn’t a bad experience trying out a brand that was new to me.

Oooh this one is actually tempting. I would use the Backstabber shade lipstick, and the “Throwing Shade” palette looks cute. It’s good they gave the shade names, since I was worried from the outline it would be the Nightingale palette.
Unfortunately that probably isn’t a perfume but their rose gold glitter spray, so the value isn’t quite there for me.
At least there is a chance that’s a glitter holographic eyeliner instead of a straight black though, which might be fun to doodle with (probably on my kids, I could do little stars and swirls.)

I like Pretty Vulgar stuff, but I see it often at Marshall’s deeply discounted. I’m not sure at the price this is worth it.

Yup, same owner. Got it.

Whoa, hold the horses! Compare the image above with the image in the post about the Blinc mystery box (posted yesterday by MSA). Same text, same design, same price, same retail value listed. The only difference is the outline sketch of the items included.
Are these brands owned by the same company?

Good Point. I got the box last time. I had not tried their products before and I did not care for it. I would love to try a palette from them, but not at that price. Their products have been on sale in Sephora for a lil while. I love their packaging tho.
