FaceTory 7 Lux November 2020 Review

Now on to the masks!

Lassie’el Real Vitamin A Powder Mask – Retail Value $5.00 (currently sold out)

This was one of those cool 3-part masks with the packaging split into different compartments for an ampoule, powder vitamin A, and then the sheet mask. The first step was to roll the ampoule compartment until it burst into the powder below it! Then I squished around the powder to mix and continued folding to mix the ampoule + vitamin mix onto the sheet mask itself. The powder is a retinoid which is helpful for tired, aging skin with fine lines. The formula also contains ceramides for a boost in skin elasticity. The mask fit well and there was an abundance of serum! It had a slightly fruity scent and was very cooling.

Muldream Vegan Green Mild Flower Cell Mask – Retail Value $3.00 (currently sold out)

This was one of my faves this month because I love floral beauty products! This one had a slightly milky serum and a sweet, flowery scent. More ceramides here (always a good thing) along with wildflower extracts that help skin stay youthful and firm.

VT Cosmetics Probiotics Mask – Retail Value $3.50 (currently sold out)

This was my other favorite! I loved this milky serum and its sweet creamy scent. It was soothing and calming on my face and there was enough serum so that I could apply it to my neck as well. My skin seems to love fermented ingredients so I am always on the lookout! This mask did not disappoint, giving me a nice glow, smoother texture, and a nice bounce after I removed it.

CLIV Multi Hyaluronic Hydrating Ampoule Mask – Retail Value $3.50 (currently sold out)

This mask was all about creating hydration and dewiness. Seeing hyaluronic acid as one of the main callouts, I wasn’t surprised. This stuff holds 1000x times its own weight in water, so it is great for dry or dull skin in terms of hydration, but it doesn’t feel heavy. This mask fit great and though it felt a little basic, my hydrated skin after I removed it really speaks for itself.

Be Plain Bamboo Healing Mask Retail Value $3.00 (currently sold out)

I was surprised this mask had basically no scent but since this is a newer brand to the subscription and their main focus is gentle ingredients, it made a lot of sense! This mask is over 80% bamboo water with an added dose of panthenol to add moisture and promote healing. This is a great lightweight mask for anyone with some redness or healing acne issues because it will speed that recovery process without feeling filmy or heavy.

Y.N.M Quick Morning & Night Care Mask – Retail Value $6.00 (currently sold out)

FYI: This counts as two masks!

I thought this little pair was really cute and quite clever! These connected sheets form a day and night combo mask, focused on the different needs of your skin at different times in your day. The morning mask was kind of like a flash mask, requiring only 5 minutes to add a nice dose of antioxidants to your morning. It was light and film-free, which is super important to me in the mornings! The evening mask was a little more relaxed and low-key. You leave it on for 10-20 minutes and the clear serum smells like lavender and has hyaluronic acid! I liked this duo and I kind of dig the morning+night combo!

Skin & Lab Vitamin E PLUS Moisturizing Cream, 30 mL – Retail Value $19.00

My bonus item this month was a cream I really loved, mostly for the dreamy scent that reminded me of Sisley products. It also has a lot of nourishing goodness inside like shea, vitamin E, and mango seed butter. It goes on like velvet and is extremely hydrating while somehow staying lightweight. Winner!

Verdict: FaceTory is what my skin needed this month! I have been a little neglectful (which is a dreadful thing for an esthy to admit!) but ’tis the season! These masks totally helped me get back on track and add a lot of soothing moisture to my poor face. My overall value lands at $43 which is a nice savings on the $19.90 cost of this subscription.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

  1. Why is the review so late on this? I think 🤔 I have noticed other reviews being late. More of a curiosity question.

    • Can’t speak for everyone but mail has been really delayed since late November due to the combination of COVID-19 and increased holiday packages. My December Potomac Beads subscription, for example, was stuck in a Maryland USPS distribution center starting on December 4 and I only received it January 2. My Deccember LuxSB package is somewhere between California and Georgia and hasn’t even been scanned for over 2 weeks. My cat Sneaky’s asthma medicine (we order from Canada and it usually ships from Europe) is somewhere out in the ether as well (no worries there, I order at least 3-4 months in advance of when I will need it).

Plus, of course, if there are a lot of masks to try, you still have to use them before you can write the review (Mask Maven takes me a long time because of this).

  2. Amazon currently has some 5 packs of Facetory masks on sale in their lightning deals.
