Unless your under 3 your mom puts a bucket hat on you this box is horrible and i had an annual membership and somehow when it came time to “cancel” my account locked me out so now i am stuck for a whole year again and the boxes only get worse with each season. I think in the 5 boxes i have gotten i don’t have a whole box of product i like or could even use and re-gifting them is not an option. Very disappointing

Kate

Has anyone tried the code? I would be super tempted if the code worked but although it says it works on the page, it gives me no indication that I get more stuff! Thanks all 🥰

Reply ButtonReply

samantha

I think this box includes lots of great choices! This will only be box 2 for me but I am really excited. Will probably even add some extras in a couple categories. Sort of shocked to see so much hate!

Reply ButtonReply

Reidy

When doesn’t customization open? Does anyone know?

Reply ButtonReply

Eva

NOT a single WOW item.
Omg.. I am just shocked at how horrible this box is!

Reply ButtonReply

Ryan Smith

I agree there’s not an item I’m seeing I’m excited about probably skip this one & try another subscription box.

Reply ButtonReply

Jori

I normally disagree with these comments…. but, these choices are garbage. The daisy theme is also not for me. Yuck.

Reply ButtonReply

Brooke

Right there with you. I even love daisies. But this is garbage.

Brooke

To each his own but to me this is absolutely the worst box in years. Just in time to cancel my annual subscription! Not tempted at all. The slippers are cute but that’s certainly not worth it. And group 1 is all crap.

My advice: NEVER buy a bag from them. The botkier in the fall was utter garbage… couldn’t give it away even to my teenaged nieces or my housekeeper… This bag looks to be an FFF-label….$150 HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Reply ButtonReply

Makenzie

I have six starter boxes to send if anyone wants one!

Reply ButtonReply

Rimi

Is that a code for a trial box? I’d like to give it a go if you still have one available. Thanks!

Reply ButtonReply

Eden

I’m not able to send the starter box to my mom because I am a member and we have the same billing address. Would it work if I was able to use another starter box? I love the idea of giving it as a gift!

Reply ButtonReply

Leah

What does this mean?

Reply ButtonReply

Lynn

I think this box is looking great so far. When will we get more spoilers? Does anyone know?

Reply ButtonReply

Lynn

I have narrowed my choices down to category 1: LED planter and perricone moisturizer, category 2: Asian set or lunchbox, category 3: verso eye serum or bucket hat.

I have been thinking about buying an aero garden for years so if this one can get my basil started before I move it outdoors, I will be a happy camper and save some serious dinero. Also, I have always wanted to try perricone but never wanted to pay the high price tag to see if it was worth it, so that is another win for me.

The gaiam set or lunchbox would be a nice gift for one of my daughters.

I was thinking about getting the bucket hat as I like how they fit and they won’t give you hat head or mash your hair down while giving protection from the sun. Unfortunately I have read so many negative comments here and in fff forum that I now feel I would be laughed at for wearing it. Bucket hats have been around way before the nineties. I don’t see why some people think they are from the nineties.
Someone on fff posted that bucket hats make you look droopy and wet like you just came out of a lake. ??? That is hurtful to those who like them. Yes, people are entitled to their opinion but they don’t need to be hurtful to others who have different opinions. I guess I may get the eye cream inatead.

Reply ButtonReply

Chris

Lynn,
I have had the same thoughts about the hat. I am 55 and didn’t even notice the bucket hat trend in the 90s when I was busy with my kids. I use hats like that at our lake cabin all the time. The brim blocks the sun beautifully. I was excited to pick the hat, but now I am worried about looking ridiculous. Ugh!

Reply ButtonReply

Brooke

Just fyi this is not an aero garden (btw I have one and love it so I recommend that).

This is just a plastic pot with LED light. You still need dirt, and to water it, etc…

Reply ButtonReply

Lynn

Thanks Brooke. I do realize it isn’t an aerogarden but for my purposes it will work just as well. I usually plant my herbs outside once the Minnesota weather warms up enough. It has been difficult to get them started indoors though so I am hoping this will help with that part of the process. I have plenty of organic potting soil and am not averse to watering.

I am glad to hear you love the aerogarden. What do you grow in it? If this doesn’t work, I may need to get one.

Mandy

I think the hat looks cute! Remember that everyone has their own style and tastes that won’t be the same as yours. Imagine the hat with cute jeans, a t-shirt, and sneakers-cute outfit. Go for the hat if you like it!

Reply ButtonReply

Lynn

Thank you for your thoughtful response. I think I may choose the hat after all.

Sue

Spring Box is always the worst one!

Reply ButtonReply

Ashley

yup

Reply ButtonReply

Yolanda

Thank you to Lauren Leighton who sent me a starter box email! That is REALLY REALLY SWEET Lauren, thank you!!!!!! I signed up 😁 can’t wait! Yay!

Reply ButtonReply

Roxanna

I do not like any of these things. I want to skip but I also don’t feel like waiting three more months for a new box lol

Reply ButtonReply

Liz

I wish they still managed to have at least one “wow” item each quarter. One month the wow item was a Revive anti aging LED wand—- I still use mine faithfully almost every night.

Reply ButtonReply

Alexa

The reason I’ve never subbed to this box is because it’s all over the place, and usually, the items I want are all in one category and I want nothing in the other ones. I wish they would stop breaking categories 1-3 down and just let you pick 3 from any of them, because the RTVs are all over the map anyway (a “$85” hat in Cat 3, a $44 Milk Makeup product in Cat 1). I think they don’t do it so that annuals don’t snap up all of the highest RTV items, but the RTVs are inflated anyway and I think at this point sub boxes have been around long enough that people pick what they genuinely think they’ll use. In this instance, I would like the Gaiam Set, the Mac lipstick, and the Verso serum, and nothing else. But I don’t want to pay the extra $15 for an item in Cat 2 when there is nothing in Cat 1 that holds value for me. Nothing in Cat 1 is even swappable, in my opinion.

Reply ButtonReply

Barbara

FWIW,I want the milk makeup from group 1 and literally nothing else. I would swap over retail for it.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy G

Sephora has them on sale.

Pat Coon

I am in total agreement.

Reply ButtonReply

suzi

My teenager is begging me to get her the bucket hat because they are apparently a thing again. I do want that Perricone MD moisturizer. I am super curious about the Ultimate Core Toning Kit, though I’ll probably just end up getting the slippers.

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda

FYI According to reviews the toning band doesn’t seem to work for people over 5’5. So if you are taller than 5’5 I would check the reviews first.

Reply ButtonReply

Tami

Not true. There are no reviews for the particular one in this box….the pilates one isnt the same thing.

AnaJe

Style is to each their own IMO and my own style says “heck no” to that hat, bag and umbrella. I’m gonna skip my way into summer.
The value is in the negative zone for me (gas $ to go to Goodwill).

Reply ButtonReply

Nat

I signed up when they were offering a free blanket and canceled right away. This doesn’t look bad at all to me. The hat and the duffel bad is way overpriced and I would never go for something like that. Don’t need any of this stuff. But if they offer another freebie, I am sure I’ll sign up with a different email and get hair mask, core toning kit and perricone. Here is hoping they don’t have any freebies so I am not tempted because like I said, I don’t need it.

Reply ButtonReply

Rose

1. Verso eye serum
2. Josie Maran argan oil (I’ve purchased this many times and adore it for my skin and hair)
3. Perricone moisturizer

I like how FFF can be a skincare sub, an accessories sub or a home decor sub depending on what you like. Not many other boxes allow this type of customization. I will be 41 this week and I feel like FFF has grown with me. I wouldn’t be a subscriber if we were all getting a bucket hat, watch and umbrella.

Reply ButtonReply

Bethany

I agree, Rose–and happy early birthday!! I’ve been a subscriber since 2015 and have loved the additional customization options FFF has been offering the past couple years and feel like I’m able to make each box work for me through my picks. And as Deb said, it’s a great way to pick up gifts at a low price too. With an average out of pocket cost of well under $10 an item, it’s worth it to me to keep my annual sub going, even if one box may not blow me away.

Reply ButtonReply

Deb

You’re right. I find it a great way to pick if interesting and economical gifts for other people as well as myself.

Reply ButtonReply

Makenzie

I’m not a watch person at all but I love that watch so I’ll probably get it and maybe wear it lol… probably not. I like the lunchbox and I’ll probably get the ring. The pictures of it make it look questionable but I’m on eye product and hair product overload. I hope the rest of the box is good!

Reply ButtonReply

Stephanie

1. Daisy Duffel Bag
2. Gaiam Core Kit
3. Adjustable Ring

Extra Choices:
1. (Maybe?) Watch
2. (Maybe?) Slippers
* If they’re $15 each I’ll skip extras

Reply ButtonReply

Allison

Genuinely curious, for those who don’t like any of the choices, specifically what would you put in the box?

Reply ButtonReply

AnaJe

Ok, I’ll entertain this question for a minute.
Considering that the wow item falls a bit flat this time around I would think a good start would be things that members don’t fear using (electrical items from FFF have been known to break, overheat, short, and so on). Members have stated many times that the FFF electronic stuff is CRAZY.
A watch is outdated for many of us since it is pure fashion with that one. Their colors are always so limited too. Pinks? Rose gold? SO MUCH GOLD ALWAYS. Blah So, the 1st category feels very walled in.
Then it is downhill from there.
Maybe a nice candle (we have been asking for that for a long time).
Some good SPF products like a Cicapair tiger grass cream, since spring, means more sun (hopefully).
Some things that aren’t so baby cutsie foo foo (pink slippers? Daisy print? Easy pass).
Some coasters in a more long term material? I saw some in granite and stone that they had on a questionnaire.
The jewelry is gumball quality. Instead of going big, maybe a simple but striking higher quality piece?
The haircare? Yes, please! But maybe take into account something that would work for different hair types? This is a heavy silicone/wax-based product. This is going to be bad for fine hair AND curly hair. Again, boxed in.
I think what most of us are going for is some less throwaway quality items like it used to be.
Now, for my actual point.
You can’t please everyone. I don’t think that is what everyone is saying. I don’t see anyone up in arms, only genuine disappointment. You can’t be upset at folks for not liking what you like. That would be silly.

Reply ButtonReply

Eva

Looking at this box – you would think it was Causebox spoilers – not FabFitFun.
Seriously disappointed. So many of these items have circulated already with other box groups or add ons. You would think FFF was always ahead of the curve and rocked their boxes.
A bucket hat.. seriously!

Allison

Thanks! It’s nice to read what you would choose. I’ve been a long term sub and was happy then but I think they have come a long way from cardboard coasters and drug store lotion spray. I understand and enjoy reading critiques of good/bad choices, but those who like none of the 18 or so choices thus far are probably better suited buying their own gift box.

Val

I feel walled in reading this rambling post. Lol….They have offered coasters in other materials as well as Joe Malone candles. I think we all know that.

Amy G

I use this for stuff I give to my tween niece, so when there are categories I don’t like, I I look for light things I can ship to her and bright colors she likes. (She will probably be getting a bucket hat. . . .)
I also look for things I think I can sell on Poshmark with a preference for light things so shipping isn’t over the label amount.

Reply ButtonReply

jen

I’m not in love with any of these choices, but I will rationalize and pick things I will either commit to use OR can trade away in the MSA swap site; but it’s hard to try to guess which will be popular!

Reply ButtonReply

Allison

My picks:
hair mask
slippers
either tray or Milk set

I am an annual sub and have always gotten my box right away. I have never had any issues. I think if someone is truly unhappy with the choices then a subscription box isn’t the right thing for them. FFF has even done what many don’t and allowed for many customizations. (just my two cents after reading so much negativity)

Reply ButtonReply

Jules

I dont think we need you to preach to us. What you are doing is called toxic positivity and that’s not cool either. Great you love the box – I’m happy for you. So what if other people don’t like it – they have every right to share their opinion without being called out and chastised by you. Just my 2 cents.

Reply ButtonReply

AnaJe

I think most of us are sick of hearing that everything is “toxic” in either direction. To each their own.

Alyce

Annie S.

I for one agree. I’m highly suspicious of people who like everything in every box of a subscription. We often subscribe to boxes based on our interests and the items that were in previous boxes. Some boxes start off great then go downhill. Some vary monthly in terms of quality and some are just bad. A person is allowed to comment on individual items in a subscription box that they do not like or feel that something else is wrong with them. As a new subscriber to this box, I appreciate hearing both positive and negative comments so I can make up my own mind about what items to choose. I subscribed to this primarily to get the blanket that everyone raved about. Other people mentioned that a certain bag that was offered before was cheap- i might pass on choosing a similar item. Most people here are not party poopers but people who are giving honest opinions about what they have received in their boxes. Subscription boxes can not hit home runs with every subscriber all the time and I appreciate both negative and positive feedback.

Misty

That’s better than you all that are Toxic Negativity! Nothing but BAD BAD BAD to say! Go away! No body needs to hear it. We subscribe because we want to look forward to something. Yes, the box isn’t perfect. No box is. Boxes I don’t like “I STOP GETTING AND MOVE ON!” No reason to hang out and stomp on the fun for those that love it. Party poopers!👎

Stephanie

Ugh…I know. People forget they’re paying 5-8 for each item. I don’t understand what people expect. Yes, you can get all this stuff at Marshalls, because Marshalls sells tons of different stuff in many categories (household, beauty, décor, clothing). But you’re still getting it cheaper. You’re getting 7-8 items for $40 or $50….

Reply ButtonReply

Allison

Yes! It is hard to please everyone. I personally like going off their choices. If I really wanted exactly what I desired then I would go out and get it—-less fun! 🙂

Tami

I agree!

Reply ButtonReply

Allison

🙂

T

In their advertising and on their website they say that the box comes with full sized products, however the eye serum and hair mask are not full sized products if you look them up. How are they allowed to do this? Seems like false advertisement to me now that they are using deluxe sample sizes

Reply ButtonReply

Stephanie

Both the hair mask and eye serum are full size.

Reply ButtonReply

T

I wish that was true!

Renee

The Verso appears to be a full size sold at Dermstore 20ml. It lasts a long time. Do you know what size the masque is? It could be the full size in different (better) packaging.

Reply ButtonReply

T

The Verso Eye Serum is 30ml for the full-sized at $80. This is apparently 20ml with a value of $60. The full sized hair mask is 120mL for $65, this just appears to be the smaller size of 100mL for $55.

JennWin1980

SlutBox called- it wants it bucket hat back.

Reply ButtonReply

Boxy Fox

Thank you for the big laugh and stroll down memory lane. I would have taken that slutty hat over the daisy one any day, but the nick box’s chum bucket bucket hat puts them both to shame!

Reply ButtonReply

Teresa

I thought the same thing. lol

Reply ButtonReply

Deb

Lol..That hat is horrible….I can’t believe that is a choice !?!? I’m thinking the ring or hair mask. The coasters look cheap and I’ve already received the eye cream in Allure box and it was meh.

Reply ButtonReply

katie

Hahah, It’s weird but I actually really like the bucket hat, but I’m an Xennial so that’s such a huge trend among my age group right now! I think they’re trying to target gen-z and younger millennials with a lot of the choices!

Amy

Not super-excited about any of these…I like the coasters the best. I’d be tempted to get the ring if it had a semi-precious gemstone.

Reply ButtonReply

Aida

You are right Amy, I actually saw a screenshot on the FFF forum, provided by one of the subscribers that specifies that the stone is free quartz. I know quartz is not a pricy stone and the green colour is likely the result of heating etc, but at least it is still natural. The small colourless stones are CZ though.
I would have gone for the ring if the base was sterling silver. I don’t have a good experience with FFF’s gold plated base metals. I bought a necklace from their add ons a few seasons ago which was rose gold plated base metal and it went black in a matter of days.

Reply ButtonReply

Marcy

The Chloe ring isn’t quartz or a semi-precious stone. The ring is gold plating over brass, with an Ombre Green hexagon glass stone with Cubic Zirconia pave. This info is from the Joy Dravecky Jewelry website.

Jean

I will likely still pick the ring but I had the same thought – it’s a shame it’s not a real stone. The designer has done this ring in chrysoprase and in smoky quartz.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

@Allison semi-precious stones aren’t that much more expensive than glass. I’m talking about quartz, amethyst, onyx, agate, etc.

Obviously a higher-price point semi-precious or precious stone is off the table for a $50 box.

Amy

There is a chance it’s quartz at least (vs glass) – it looks just like one described as an ombré green quartz.
I don’t know which I’ll pick yet coasters or ring. It would be nice if the coasters came in a set that’s one pattern.

Allison

I don’t think they can produce a $50 box of 8 items and include a ring with a semi precious stone! I mean, let’s be realistic.
