BoxDog is currently offering a free dog bed with your first box purchase!

Polar Fleece Dog Bed

This dog bed is a promotion that BoxDog is running while supplies last; receive a free dog bed with your first BoxDog subscription box! Murray has been loving this big, cozy bed. The fabric is soft and there is a nice amount of stuffing to support him, but I will say that if your dog sheds, this bed will collect his/her hair. Other than that, it is a great gift with purchase!

Winter 2020 "The Ice Box" BoxDog Review

Gourmet Frosted Cookies

Murray loves a crunchy, homemade treat. This lovin' from the oven is brightly iced in a yogurt-based icing, which is Murray's favorite part.

These cookies are human safe and are made from just five ingredients. I am impressed by the simplicity of the ingredients, especially because there are no weird fillers or preservatives I can't pronounce.

BoxDog Bakery Bento

BoxDog's next treat arrangement has three flavor varieties including Blueberry Cookies, Grain-Free Cranberry Cookies, and Gourmet Cookies. Not surprisingly, Murray enjoyed the soft gourmet cookies the most, but he also really loved the others, too. He wasn't too fond of the cranberries in the other cookies, but he ate around them; I actually found 5 or 6 cranberries next to his bed this morning, so I know exactly what Ryan treated him to this morning.

Yum!

BoxDog Light Up Rubber Ball Toy

This ball toy provided Murray and his human brother with a lot of entertainment! Murray doesn't play ball with Ryan or I, but Ronan manages to keep his interest somehow. They both loved the light feature which is activated when the ball is jostled or bounced.

It flashes with red and blue light; you can hear and feel the little light bopping around inside the ball which adds to the excitement.

BoxDog Bar Soap

Every quarter, BoxDog ships a skin or body care item for your pooch. This month they sent out an adorable paw-shaped pup soap. The ingredients are gentle and moisturizing, and they didn't irritate Murray's very sensitive skin.

This soap has a very mild, soothing fragrance. Murray approved!

Tuffy Killer Whale Toy - Retail Value $15.99

Tuffy makes fantastic dog toys! They are durable, made to last through some heavy play. Murray isn't rough with toys, but sometimes when he is riled up, he will try to rip a toy's appendages off. Well, not this toy! It is rugged, unlike many stuffed toys we've gone through. This toy doesn't have any frills like a squeaker or crinkle material, but he absolutely loves it!

This is Mur's new favorite toy! I haven't seen him so excited about a toy in a while, so I was very pleased with this pick.

Polar Fleece Zip-Up Jacket, Size Large

There is one thing that my little buddy does not like and that is the cold! He is spoiled; at any given time, you will find him at the end of our couch surrounded by his pillows and blankets. It becomes a problem in the winter: he hides as we call him to go outside, then belligerently barks to be let in. This jacket is one of my chosen items, and I ordered it in a size large. Murray isn't a large dog at 23lbs, but he is thick around the middle.

This jacket is soft, warm, and provides comfort for when my boy must face the elements. It zips easily up the belly, but it is a little long on him. I think after a wash or two it will fit him perfectly!

Verdict:  BoxDog's Winter Ice Box was exploding with a fantastic variety of products to spoil my little buddy. This subscription has a dynamic range of products to choose from; I love the jacket and the whale toy I chose for this shipment, and the artisan treats always make this box well-worth the price. Thanks to this quarter's shipment, Murray has products to keep him entertained, treated, and warm all winter long!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! Most of the options I chose (plus several others) are still available as of publication.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $39.99/quarter, giving each of the 6 items in the box an average cost of $6.67.

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. A fun night for me includes an exfoliating foot mask and a bag of Dot's Pretzels while binging Rupaul’s Drag Race.

The bathtime photo is too much!!! I wonder about sizing if a 23 lb dog wears a L though.

LOL Murray in general is too much! He has a corgi bod, so his neck and torso are thicker; we usually size up for him, even though sometimes accessories end up being a little longer than he needs.

Can I just say that the thought of a westie crossed with a corgi produced the most adorable dog I have ever seen. I’m not sure the look on Mur’s face in the tub says approval about the bath though! I so love your reviews!

BATHTIME MURRAY! I would honestly follow a blog that was all Murray. I was also super impressed with the box. We are trying to cut down on plastics in the shower. Thank you for the review!
