I am no longer ACE this year as I didn’t want to spend more money to keep the status… I purchased annual back in October with 40% off, so I am going to ride until it ends. I chose Sunday Riley oil for January becuase I love face oil and I will use it. I hope they up the game now they no longer offer $10 per month for ACE members!

I lost my ACE status too, I am not paying $15 a month when Ipsy is $12 and better lol I don’t want to commit either to a year or anything …so it looks like I’m cancelling …Birchbox hasn’t changed much even with their price increase. But it’s hard for me to cancel because they are my first ever subscription box, but once I get Januarys box I’m going to pull the trigger. I thought existing members were $13 a month, and I didn’t know that was promotional..until I got an email that February I will be paying $15 a month (January’s charge was $13) ..so I went from $10, to $13 to $15 ..I’ll stick with boxycharm and Ipsy

Hi JeriLyn, I share the sentiment of Birchbox being my first beauty box. Now with the $15 price tag, they have to compete with Macy’s and even Ipsy. I think $13/month price point was for the annual, but instead of paying upfront for a year, you pay monthly, but cannot cancel for a year? I cancelled before and I was sad, so I am sure I will be sad again, lol, but I will look forward to their sales.
So relieved not to be getting that gua shua thing.

I wish I could have Birchbox from the UK. They gave everyone a beautiful green velvet bag in December and they also had a beautiful advent calendar. They also don’t seem to have as many limited edition boxes. I still like them, but I miss the selection.

Anyone other Aces get the email that the price is going up to $15? I might finally cancel. I seem to remember them promising Aces this wouldn’t happen but a year later and here comes the increase. It’s just not worth it to me personally. I’ll probably have FOMO though.

Thank you for asking this, since it inspired me to check this months billing price and it did indeed go up to 15 for me too, although they didn’t send me an email. I cancelled as well, since I thought they might at least notify me my Ace status was up! I might have spent the extra ~100$ then, but since I feel like they were trying to be sneaky, I’m out, after 11 straight years.

Wow! I got an email saying that my price would be $15 starting in February. I guess I better check my bank statement and see if they already charged me $15 for this month. I’ve been a member since 2013 and am no longer an ACE this year. I will probably cancel, too, if it is going to be $15.

Same here, no email or warning and my box increased to $15. I’m done.

I agree with you all! I’ve been a member for almost 10 years most of them as an Ace. I emailed them just checking to see if I would still be Ace in the new year and if not, how many points I needed to continue as an Ace. I never received a reply and now I’m being charged more for my box. I only stayed all these years for the tiny benefits and deals of being an Ace member. You’d think they would email everyone and tell them their status or at least about the price increase, they’ve finally lost me as a subscriber after all these years.

Yeah, I came here to check if that happened to anyone else. For me, I did not qualify to be an Ace in 2020 (to carry into 2021). I cancelled it. I wasn’t happy for awhile, but I thought for $10 it was worth it. It seems dumb, but for $15, it seems like a rip off. I just haven’t liked anything in a long time. Every thing they try, doesn’t seem to be fully executed. Oh well, with me leaving…someone else will get my early-pick spot. 🙂

I was just billed $12.93 instead of the usual $10 plus tax. I was an Ace but not anymore. I thought if you qualified for Ace your sub was $10 for 12months ~ not calendar year? I’ve got 2 months left in my yearly.
I’ve been getting boxes since 2012 but canceled my yearly. I’m sorry to leave but it’s not worth $15 to me.
