Birchbox February 2021 Sample Selection Time!

Thank you for all the feedback. I was trying to decide if I should start Birchbox. I will not be. Happy with ipsy.

I almost chose the clean beauty box again, but I’ve received the Sand & Sky mask about five times in different beauty boxes and I also didn’t want another leave in hair treatment.

So I went with the crap shoot, and that was a mistake. I’m getting TWO hair products this time – what the heck? One of them is YET another Oribe spray. Enough with the Oribe already.

So I guess it’s clean beauty or credits for the rest of my annual commitment and then I’ll cancel.

BIrchbox has been a major disappointment with their TINY samples, repeats and too many hair products. I’m going to stick with the beauty boxes that actually have decent sized products and an emphasis on skin care, like Allure.

I asked CS about full-size product option this month and they said no, but should be available in March. I swapped for points.

I swapped for points. There is a new Limited Edition Clean box that I’m saving for.

If you choose the one sample are the rest of the products they send totally different from the two curated boxes? Or is it a random mix of the two curations plus the sample you chose?

I’m still waiting on my January box (I swapped for Luna). It “shipped” Jan 4th and is still in “ready to go” status. Tried to give it some time with all the shipping delays, but finally contacted them last week and got new shipping info yesterday. Hoping it actually ships this time. Thinking I’ll just swap for point for February.

Wow I thought the February curated boxes would be better then this, oh well maybe March will be better.

Hmm. Not sure what to do yet. I usually pick the samples box with choice.

I will say I really like that Sand & Sky Mask, though U probably wouldn’t pick the box.

I’m selecting the rose peel. This is the first time in ages that a curated box has not appealed to me. Surprised by only two choices, the second one with so many repeats. There’s only so many clay masks and egg face creams I can stand, albeit good products. Was hoping for a February fragrance box as an option.

I was late to the game last month and missed the luna oil and the curated box that I liked, so I went with a sample + surprise. Ended up with 3/5 products that I am interested in trying. So far nothing is really grabbing me here… I was hoping there would be a swap for a full size item this month… i guess not. Not sure what to choose.

I’m selecting the gloss. This month, I like the idea of a surprise for the rest.

Yikes. The choices are pretty sad this month. I’m no longer an Ace, so if it’s still available I guess I’ll go for the clean beauty box. I’d really like to try the Bareminerals blush and the hair treatment. If that’s gone, I guess I’ll go for the Estate lip gloss. It’s a bummer with all the repeats.

If you don’t pick one will they choose 1 of those items for sure for you? Or is there a chance you can get completely different things if you don’t pick? Nothing is jumping out at me so I just wondered.

Eh. Nothing grabs me. I think I will swap for points.

I’m swapping for points this month. I thought that there would be a third box choice or a full-size product choice. The lip gloss looks nice but I already have a similar product from Ofra and one from LOC, so I have enough in this unfortunate time of minimal-lip-product use.
