On Hello Subscription, the spoilers showed a whole pack of 10 of the masks. Will it be the pack or just one?

Reply ButtonReply

Lorif631

Unfortunately, no. It says 1 mask on Hello Subscription also.

Did everyone who ordered the ManiMe have to put in their credit card info? It’s a zero balance and I don’t want to put in my CC info if i don’t have to.

Reply ButtonReply

Christine

I had to put my credit card info and its been a week but I didn’t get charged

Reply ButtonReply

Sherri

Nope, no need. Once you put in the promo code, the balance shows as zero and you can just finalize checkout, no need to add CC info.

Reply ButtonReply

Yvette

@Sherri Thank you, it worked this time when I tried!

Sherri

Cindy – the Allure subscription box website can be found by googling “allure beauty box.” In one of the recent boxes was a promo code to get a set of stick on nail gels from a company called ManiMe. ManiMe itself is not a subscription box, just an online retail of nail products. You can google them as well to find their website. Sometimes Allure puts out some limited edition one-time boxes for subscribers only, and they did recently put out a fragrance box, is that what you are referring to? You would need to be subscribed to Allure to get that. There are, however, fragrance subscription boxes. If you go to the upper tab of this website and select “Discover” and then “Browse our box directory” you can get information about all kinds of subscription boxes.

Cindy

I’m new to this, where do you go for the ManiMe??? I would like to see what this Subscription had to offer. Also is there another Box for Fragrances, I thought I sent that somewhere, where do you go for things like that?? Thank you for your help

Annette

If someone who gets the Amazon box lets us know their contents that would be great!! I may order another that way!

Well, I received the L’Occitane cream in the January box (I wasn’t supposed to get the January box since I skipped it), so I hope that means I won’t get it in February. Haven’t opened the foil seal yet but previousl L’Occitane samples I’ve received have been too fragrant for me. I’ve never tried Amore Pacific and would REALLY like to, so that probably means I’ll get the Sisley product that gives me headaches from the perfumey smell. Well, that why God gave me friends and feet. One way or the other, It will not go to waste. If I love the 3 full sizes as much as I think I will, I may get another box through Amazon. I started a year’s subscription in September and already skipped two boxes but am really excited for this one! Very curious as to what item #6 will be.

Reply ButtonReply

Shortcake

I’ve never tried L’Occitane before, so I was really excited to get the cream in the January box. Then I opened it…yeah this sample is far too fragrant (and not even a nice smell in my opinion). I never thought about using it on my feet! Good tip lol

I always wanted to join a swap group, but I don’t have social media 😔

Reply ButtonReply

Sarah

If you’re signed up on this board, you can swap through here.

Reply ButtonReply

Sarah

Go to the top right and click on your profile pic, then choose My Swaps to get it set up.

Ashley

Hi! Do you ladies know any good places to do product swaps? I will check on MSA boards but I have a ton of stuff i would love to clear out or swap for items that suit me better. 🙂 Thanks in advance!

Mary

I’m on product overload, but am still looking forward to the items in this box, especially the Christoph Robin hair cream

Reply ButtonReply

EmmaLo

I’m excited about the deluxe sample! I got the L’occitane cream in my January box so they’ll be sending either Amore Pacific or Sisley, neither of which I’ve tried before.

Reply ButtonReply

Kate

While this is a good value, for me personally this is a skip. I have a ton of those lips crayons already, I find Cristophe Robin products to smell nauseating, I’m still working through the Derm Elect exfoliating serum I got a couple months ago – and my usually calm skin is currently freaking out from product overload. Since I’ve been slathering all kinds of new stuff on my face, I’m not sure which product it is. Best to hold off on new stuff for now.

Reply ButtonReply

EmmaLo

Same here with the product overload. I was using the dermelect every other day and my skin was super soft but also overreacting and getting red at times. I’m limiting it to just once a week now and also taking a break from retinol for a bit. The U Beauty item looks nice but I’ll probably keep it in a drawer till I finish my other products.

Reply ButtonReply

SquirrelyGirl

I wouldn’t mind getting that AmorePacific essence again! Too bad they say no repeats ha.

I don’t get the complaints about the sheet mask. There are 3 full size products spoiled so far that total $209 for $23. They promise 3 or more full size (quota met) $100+ worth of product (they’ve far exceeded) and 6 or more items, which means there is at least one more product to be spoiled. In my opinion, this is the best box they have curated since the price increase. if you don’t like the items that is one thing, but the complaints about a sheet mask and samples being included are just over the top. It is literally in the description that there are deluxe samples included.

Reply ButtonReply

Jess

This! I signed up for January to make sure I’d also get February’s box specifically for the U Beauty and Christophe Robin products. I don’t even care what else is in the box as long as I get those two items!

Reply ButtonReply

SquirrelyGirl

It’s the first box I am signing up for in months! I love that hair mask

Kat

I wouldn’t have a problem with it if they didn’t claim that we would no longer receive sheet masks as a full size item when they increased the price. It was their own claim that they went back on.

Reply ButtonReply

echo

Jennifer & SquirrelyGirl, I believe I caused this misunderstanding. I skimmed the spoiler photos without paying much attention to the text and didn’t realize 3 full size items were already on display! I’m glad you guys set everything straight because Allure hasn’t gone back on their word. 😁

Jennifer

It’s not included as one of the three full size items, though. There already are other 3 full size items in the box!

I don’t think they meant they would never *call* a sheet mask full size again, because they are – a sheet mask “sample” would be a smaller one that only fits the nose or forehead, I guess?

But, rather, they meant it would not take up one of the three guaranteed full size spots.

echo

My beef isn’t with the sample sizes, it’s with counting one mask as 1 of the 3 full sized items. A sheet mask is a single use item no matter what the retail value is. So, yes, the math works out but you’ll use it once, then it’s all gone. It makes me feel cheated, personally; the big 3 products should be things you can use much more than once. I’m speaking for myself here, though, so keep that in mind.

Also, I recall Allure “promising” sheet masks wouldn’t be counted as 1 of the 3 when they announced the price hike. Can anyone point to that claim in writing, so to speak?

Reply ButtonReply

SquirrelyGirl

Echo, It’s all good! I honestly wasn’t mentioning anyone in specific. I just saw lots of people mad about the sheet mask and deluxe samples sizes and was referencing that in general since Allure has always had samples sizes and never claimed to be all full size. Props to you for “ousting” yourself for skimming the spoilers lol (not that it was necessary, but to me it shows good character).

SquirrelyGirl

But the sheet mask isn’t one of the full size items. The floss lip crayon, Christophe Robin hair mask and the U Beauty resurfacing compound are the 3 promised full sizes. They did say sheet masks and one other thing (I forget what) would not be considered full size. To my knowledge, they have kept their word on that so far.

SBR

LOL but you are correct that sheet masks and makeup brushes are not included in the promised full size count. Although, they will brag about it being a 4th🤪.

echo

@Laura, LOL! Proof positive I skim spoilers & mainly read the comments here. I withdraw my complaint re: sheet masks/full size in this particular Allure box. 😀

Laura

I’m so confused. What are you all complaining about?
The sheet mask isn’t one of the 3 full-sized items.
The christopher robin mask, lip stick from floss, and resurfacing compound are the 3 full sized items.
…??

SBR

agreed! This is how a 23 box should look! I expect the last item to be an Elf brush, and I will still be happy!

Reply ButtonReply

Caressa

So can someone help me out? Is the U beauty in the February box? I appreciate anyone’s help. Thanks 😊

Reply ButtonReply

Sherri

Yes, it was the first item spoiled for the Feb box.

Reply ButtonReply

Annette

Yes, February!

Reply ButtonReply

Rania

If I want February box but not January, do I wait until February to subscribe? 🤔

Reply ButtonReply

Denise

I would love to get another but I think unless I set an alarm for as soon as it goes live this box will sell out, so I’m not sure what to do.

Reply ButtonReply

Denise

No the one I meant was not a new subscribers offer it was Jan 3018 the orange bottle. So many signed up for that box they had a stock issue (plus there was a 5 dollar coupon if you signed up so it was only 10 dollars for the box) it’s still here on this site if you go back far enough and you can read about all the issues they had. I have been with allure forever though ups and downs the only box I never cancelled. But after my subscription is up this year I guess I’m done. 23 is a here and there purchase only

Snow

It’s rare they sell out. Especially since they limit it to one per person. I guess with Amazon a person could get two though.

SquirrelyGirl

The full size Sunday Riley was the free new subscriber gift, not the actual box contents. Nat is right, Allure has never sold out of a box in the 3 plus years I have been on MSA (unless I am having a really major brain fart)

Denise

Nat, I thought the one with the full sized Sunday riley cream did what 3 or 4 years back? I know for the 15 dollars everyone was buying that box. Can’t remember but don’t want to get caught if it does because I give stuff to my D.I. L

Nat

I have never seen Allure box sell out

Jennifer

Same! I imagine it will sell like hotcakes.

Rania

I’m going to do it feb 1st!

Whitney Earl

YES!!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Rania

Thanks! Feb 1st it is! I don’t have much interest in January box.

Margie

This is going to be a fantastic box!

I don’t understand the negativity…

It’s proof positive that there are just some people who are never satisfied!

Reply ButtonReply

Vanessa

Seriously! This is looking like the best box I’ve seen since Xmas 2019. These are quality spoilers. I’m stoked!

Reply ButtonReply

Ashley C

I might have to sign up for that Christopher Robin hair cream! Everyone seems to love that brands I love different leave in products. Seems like a good month!

Reply ButtonReply

Pink5

Oh, here we go again.

Mask will count as a full size, even though it’s single use.

Then one of four sample size products, one of which was in the January box (L’Occitane).

So that’s four full size and one sample, for a total of five items. Somehow I am not impressed.

And February is my birthday month.

Reply ButtonReply

Charlotte

So let me get this straight: Allure promises three full size items in each box, and you’re mad because they’re including…*four* full size items?

There really is no pleasing people.

Like, count the sheet mask as a full size item if you want, but to do that and then complain because Allure is including it as an extra full size item *on top of the three that have already been spoiled* is really something else.

Reply ButtonReply

Monique

Agree! I think this is a great box. And I love the lip color. I’m pale so too dark and it looks goth and too light it washes me out and that was all that were in the boxes the last couple of years. So I’m happy to see a wearable color that I think is wearable for more people than not. Even when I didn’t like the colors at I least tried the lip products so I could test out for texture and wear. People complain too much.

Reply ButtonReply

Sherri

Agreed – I was very confused by the comments. With 3 full size products (lip pencil, hair mask, facial serum), and yes some repeats for the box but NOT repeats for the individual, it seems Allure has met its promises (whether you consider a sheet mask full size or not). And those three full size products alone have a combined RV of $209 (!), so the value is definitely there. Sure, the products may not be to everyone’s liking, but that doesn’t mean Allure didn’t put together a box that met its promises.

I suspect this is a classic case of complain first, actually read later (or never).

Reply ButtonReply

michelle

The facial treatment is $148! Add the hair cream and lip crayon and we’re well over $200 for the $23 box. The little samples are very expensive products, so this box could easily be $250 RV. I just don’t get what people are expecting to be disappointed with it. (And “It’s mah birfday!” shows a special kind of snowflake mentality.)

Reply ButtonReply

Iz

Allure’s website states that in the box there will be “at least 3 full sizes”, and serum, mask and lipstick were counted as full sizes (according to the spoilers). I think it’s up to you if you want to consider the face mask a full size or not, but it’s not listed as “full size” (personally, to me “a full size sheet mask” should be a package of 3+ masks.)
As for the repetitive sample, the spoiler says subscribers won’t have duplicates. Do I trust allure on this? No really, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.
There should be at least one product not spoiled yet (to meet the promised “6 items”), probably a sample size or some small make up item.

Reply ButtonReply

Lynda

I have subscribed for a long time and every time they have had variations that include products from past boxes, I have never gotten a product I have received before.

Kat

Disappointed. When they upgraded the subscription they claimed that we would no longer receive sheet masks as a full size product…

Reply ButtonReply

Izzie

Not to defend Allure (especially after the price increase), but the sheet mask is not listed as full size. There are 3 listed full sizes: serum, mask, and lipstick, and Allure promises a minimum of 3. I am not expecting more full sizes given the retail values of the ones already spoiled, and I think everything else is going to be a sample size. Of course, you can be displeased with the curation. I think February looks pretty good and better than the past 2 months, but it’s really my personal opinion and what works for me doesn’t work for many (and viceversa).

Julia

Oddly, they don’t structure their offerings around your birthday. Outrageous, isn’t it?

Reply ButtonReply

Molly Honey

This is hilarious! And all in good fun. Have a great birthday Pink5! I don’t think this box is a good value anymore. For $15 the mix of full size and samples was great. But at almost the same as Ipsy plus and boxy, which you get 5 full size, just isn’t worth it to me anymore. Unless they feature some insanely great product or something. The nail sticks are awesome.

Steph

Do you really think Allure gives a crap that it’s your bday? Here’s an idea: Go buy yourself a damn gift!

Snow

😂

Radi

I’m pretty sure those are not the full spoilers yet….

Reply ButtonReply

Caligirl

Love that Sisley. Miss the box.😋

Reply ButtonReply

Jeni

This box looks awesome! Best in months!

Reply ButtonReply

Carol

If I didn’t have so much hair stuff to use I would get this to try the hair cream. I love sandalwood.

I’d love to try the AmorePacific Essence. I had a sample a while back, used it once, and proceeded to drop it in the sink, shattering the bottle 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Cindy

Hello Ladies
I’m new to the Box but I’m looking at the Spoilers and it’s like the same stuff just different Brands, is this how the Box is every month?? I want a variety of things not the same product but different Brand. Pls let me know. I thought the Boxes were going to be like a Themed Box, like Macy’s. Their theme for January was hair so it started from Shampooing your hair to Styling your hair, Start to Finish pretty cool. I hope these Boxes will change. Thank you for your help.

Reply ButtonReply

Nat

No, there is no theme with this box. It’s heavily skincare though.

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

Allure doesn’t have monthly themes, but they do spoil the contents of the box the month before – so it’s easy for you to skip if you want. Many people suggest subscribing through Amazon, which makes skipping and cancelling very easy. I have a yearly subscription through Allure and emailing or calling is also very easy – they let you skip months with no issue.

The last few months (since they increased their price) they seem to be working to find their stride with what they are including in boxes. So, as far as what things are like every month – since this is a change for them it’s difficult to tell.

Reply ButtonReply

Gloria

Love the curation this month. Im currently going through all my stash so I wont be subscribing any time soon. Looks like an amazing box and I would love to have space for it.

Reply ButtonReply

Randie

I wonder which variation will be in the Amazon box.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

I don’t like sheet masks; they make my face cold. Everything else looks good.

Reply ButtonReply

Alison

Same! I feel like I should appreciate them more but mostly I just feel cold.

Reply ButtonReply

Lynda

I don’t like putting on a cold sheet mask so I put hot water in my sink then put the sheet mask in (in it’s still sealed packaging) for a few minutes and it warms it up.

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

Genius!!

amber

I do this too! I hate putting it on cold

Rochelle

What a great idea! Thank you for sharing!

Denise

Well you just won the comments 👍 how come I never thought of that ?? Ohhh a warm mask on a cold night sounds much better. Thank you 🎉

Denise

I thought I was the only one that didn’t like them lol. Especially now up north it’s the last thing I want to feel lol

Reply ButtonReply

Snow

I hear ya girl! Skincare fridges boggle my mind 😂

Jennifer

Looking good so far! I’d be a little bummed if I got the cleanser for the variation item, though, just because I’d want to try the other three products so much more (Especially the L’Occitane Divine creme.)

The Facemask isn’t the most exciting, per se, but if I love it you can get a 10 pack on Amazon for $20. And I haven’t tried a cotton mask, yet.

Reply ButtonReply

Izzie

February looks good to me.

Reply ButtonReply

Mireia

I am so stuck should I get this box or not!!

Has anyone tried the
Christophe Robin Daily Hair Cream with Sandalwood ?

Super tempted because I love the hair mask from that line but not sure about this product.

Reply ButtonReply

Tat

I got a tube in a Net a Porter box .
You want this.
You really want this.

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

😀

Cat

I really want the essence but I’d be happy with any of these but would like the essence or creams more I think. It takes me so long to get through cleaners. I’ve never tried anything by Amorepacific though so this is cool. Not thrilled about a sheet mask being an item though.

Reply ButtonReply

Pink5

Amore Pacific is very good and very expensive.

You should be pleased with it if you get one.

Reply ButtonReply

Cat

I will be pleased if I get to try Amorepacific!

Denise

I had always heard that you don’t need to spend alot on cleansers with all the fancy stuff because it’s not on your face long enough to really do much and to spend the extra money you save from that on good things that stay on your face. But it’s a personal preference I guess.
