Winter 2020 MoonBox “Rest and Reflect" Review

Every month, MoonBox sends a box guide full of information about the oncoming season including an astro forecast, mantras, rituals as well as information and instructions on how to use each item.

Cosmic Art Tapestry by Natasha Chomko

Every quarter, MoonBox includes an art tapestry, and this month's featured artist is Natasha Chomko. This beauty really exudes this season's box theme, Rest and Reflect. I could easily stare at this print, breathe, and find myself in a more peaceful state.

St. Soleil Mini Sun & Moon Journal - Listed Value $11.11

This little notebook is such an upgrade from the Hello Kitty notepad I have been carrying around. I usually prefer a notebook with lined paper, but this 108 -page notebook will allow me to be a little more creative without that restriction. The cover is a soft matte, which makes the metallic gold suns and moons pop. This notebook was made exclusively for MoonBox, but St. Soleil has a few others for sale on their site.

Scentuals Rosemary and Mint Hand Repair, 100ml - Retail Value $8.97

Dry winter hands, rejoice! Shea butter, cocoa butter, and organic aloe are putting in overtime in this delightful hand cream. It smells wonderful, like a spa treatment, and it instantly seeps into the skin without leaving a greasy or filmy trace, just smooth, supple hands. Perfect timing for my dry, over-sanitized hands.

Love by Luna Opalite Crescent Moon - Retail Value $11

Opalite is my absolute favorite stone. I love the milky pinks, blues, and golds that shift in the light, and this crescent shape is gorgeous. Opal is said to have cleansing properties, and it is also supposed to help open communication and improve self-expression. The moon measures about 1.5" and looks fantastic with the rest of my crystals.

MoonBox Quartz Rune Set - Listed Value $26

I'm not completely familiar with Rune Sets, but after some very basic internet digging, I am really excited to have my very own! It is a quality set with 25 stones, 24 inscribed, one blank. A simple way to gain insight into a situation is to pick a stone out of the lot and it may help guide you in the right direction. Each set comes with a rune description card and a velveteen bag in which to store them.

Gaia Collective Natural Agate Pen Holder - Retail Value $18

MoonBox has the right idea of bringing healing energy to the office; however, my office is currently at home at this time. Either way, I really like this unique piece, but I am afraid I don't have a fancy enough pen to store in it...

Oh just kidding, I found one! How appropriate for a MoonBox! This alien pen is actually a little top heavy for this geode, but I am sure I will find an equally charming pen to store there.

The Verdict: MoonBox's Winter Box was fantastic! This box had a wonderful balance of self-care, home goods and crystals, and each item looks and feels like premium quality, making this box very much worth its cost. I absolutely love that supporting MoonBox means that I am also supporting small, ethical businesses, which always sweetens any deal. The different types of products they sent out this quarter made this season's curation exciting to unbox, and I am really looking forward to seeing what they have to offer this upcoming spring!

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. A fun night for me includes an exfoliating foot mask and a bag of Dot's Pretzels while binging Rupaul’s Drag Race.

Nice box but way too expensive. 55 bucks? No way.

Snow

Where it says “Cost:” it still states this box as monthly.

I find it interesting how a lot of these monthly boxes have switched to quarterly.
