Yeah this site is WAY behind since Liz sold it. Im also looking for a better site. I follow on reddit. This site has become worthless. Used to love it.

Totally agree with this comment. I used to look at this site daily, now it’s a lot if I stop in weekly. It just no longer serves its purpose. Spoilers are super late, reviews are so late they’re pointless and so positive they’re not worth reading. It’s basically a giant ad now…

While I agree spoilers are ridiculously late, not all reviews are glowing. Liz was always super positive no matter how crappy the item, I don’t recall EVER a negative comment from her. Megan I know for sure has not been favorable of all products. Carlos definitely calls it like it is.

To be fair, I wouldn’t call MSA “useless”, but it has changed a lot since the founder jumped ship. These days I often skip the review (as I’ve usually found the spoilers on Reddit already) and read the comments, and I haven’t found another site that has as much public interaction as MSA yet. I actually miss Slut Box because the comment section was priceless.

I also love the comments and miss the train wreck that was Slut Box! I miss forums even though they’ve been gone a long time now. It almost feels like they churn out as many reviews as they possibly can but they take on too much and makes everything months behind but feel rushed at the same time. The pages feel cluttered and it just feels like one giant ad. It just doesn’t feel the same.

Same! I come read comments a few times a month. I get all the scoop on Reddit now. 🙌😊MSA isn’t the same since Liz left. When she left is pretty much when I stopped faithfully looking on MSA👀

Cindy – so true. Liz always wrote “I don’t wear lipstick but this box is awesome because it has a full size lipstick.” Ha! I get so much info from comments and sometimes just get out the popcorn.

Yes, mostly here for the comment section. Also, seeing a box on MSA is a good way to gage whether or not the sub is legitimate, though I’m sure I could find that out on reddit, too. The only thing keeping me from reddit participation is a lost password (read: laziness).

Agreed. Comments only. The reviews are often useless i.e., “I don’t use whatever whatever because I’m allergic/don’t like it whatever…” or they’re too positive and glowing (which always reminds me that the reviewers are almost always getting the boxes free)…but the comments aren’t only often hilarious, they’re extremely useful. The commenters are much more informative than the reviewers IMHO. I make my decision on whether to subscribe to a box based on the comments.

Mallory -maybe someone needs to be charged with spoilers? They are out before posted here in public places by the boxes themselves!
Priorities might need rearranging too – it’s a bummer to have reviews many weeks after a box would arrive – when the boxes die two months later are about to ship!
When there’s a million lists that seem like ads and boxes are reviewed late and spoilers are old…

Which sub site? Is it good for lots of spoilers, especially the green beauty boxes? I’ve been finding them myself on insta faster than here but I’d rather have a site do the work!

The spoiler is included in the booklet that arrives with the box… Im sure a lot of people has known for a while.
