Glossybox boxes have had such terrible value lately. They use a way inflated value in their insert. To call one single use of something ‘full size’ is super misleading as well. They advertised this months box as worth over $80 – but to be worth $80 it needs to make up $24.50 somewhere.

The actual breakdowns, not using their inflated prices, but using actual prices that the items sell for on their respective websites, at full price, is as follows:

– Minetan Exfoliating Coffee Scrub packet – 30g, $1.99 value (full size is 200g, $13.30 right on their website – Glossybox claims it is $19.95. Glossybox is valuing this $2 sample at $15 for some reason)

– Youth to the People Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream – .25oz, $7.25 value (full size is 2oz, $58 – Glossybox claims this sample is worth $18 – but that is the price for the .5oz deluxe mini jar)

– Nudestix Gel Color Lip & Cheek Balm – 2.5g, $26 value (correctly listed MSRP)

– Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub – 40ml, $8.48 value (Full size is 250ml, $53, correctly listed MSRP)

– KGlo Smoothing Coconut Eye Mask – 1 mask, $4.90 value (1 mask is $4.90 right on their website – Glossybox claims it is $6.00)

– CBDFX Lavender Foot Mask – 1 pair, $9.99 value (correctly listed MSRP)

Actual value $58.97
Glossybox claimed value $83.47

I wish we would get the same glossy box that the UK gets. They get way better products and more of them. For the same amount of money. The first year I was with glossy box about 3 years ago. It was so good. Now it is horrible. No way I would even pay $10 for it. Ipsy’s $13 bag is way better than these boxes. It awful. Uk get huda beauty benefit and really good name brand items.

I was disappointed by the masks and coffee scrub. I didn’t get a foot mask even though it appears on the insert; there was a rose face mask instead. I would prefer the foot mask. Get a good look at the Nudestix gel color, it’s smaller than a lot of their other products.

I know I shouldn’t complain for many and varied reasons but it seems like they spent more on making the box itself pretty to the detriment of the box content.

My black Friday purchase has not moved at all. It’s been stuck saying DHL is awaiting package since 12/3.

My Black Friday box has been “en route” since November 28. Trying to get any help from customer service is like pulling teeth 🙄

I also believe the sheet masks, face/feet/hands, generate an enormous amount of environmental waste. I’m no longer purchasing them and trying to avoid boxes that feature them.

A lot of single use masks. I have stopped buying such products as the plastic waste is just too much.

Sheet masks (face, feet whatever) shouldn’t be counted as full-size items. Unless it’s a pack of 5 or more

I agree. What a cop out to say these are full size items.

Well put, Elise.

Elise

It’s a one time use item. Not a full size. Mask shouldn’t have even been called a full size item. It makes it seem better when it’s not. When it comes to deluxe or sample items they at least give a couple uses out of them. Not a one time use. It’s a another manipulative way to get the buyer think there getting more when they’re not. It’s like saying a mayo/ketchup packet is full size cause it covers my entire burger when it’s just not. It’s a single use.

echo

Okay, technically it’s a full size item. But the value isn’t there because you get a single use, so I’m with the above ladies: send a pack with more than one.

Julia

You receive the full sheet mask. Not just the piece to cover one cheek and half the chin. This *is* a full size item.
