CatLadyBox November 2020 Review

CatLadyBox is always full of fun, cat-themed lifestyle items. Let’s see what was in store for November:

I love how the information cards have custom artwork every month. And the back has more information about the items in the box. This month has a kitchen/baking theme.

On to the items:

Retro Cat Dishtowels - Retail Value $18.99

We can always use more dish towels. And these are fun because KITTIES. I believe subscribers got an email allowing you to pick a color (if you click the link in the product name you can see the other colors available) but I typically don't have a strong preference so I just say "surprise me." (It's not like I have a kitchen decor scheme anyway because the previous occupants of my house had questionable taste and employed questionable construction tactics and I don't want to do any kitchen remodeling right now.) These are just a touch stiff from the graphics printing but nothing a good wash won't remedy.

Kitty Cat Cooling Rack - Retail Value $18.99

This is cute and also useful, and a type of item I have never received in a subscription box before. It's a good size for a loaf of quickbread or for when I make too many cookies for the other baking racks I have and need a backup.

Retro Meowsuring Spoons - Retail Value $11.99

I have a lot of measuring spoons. Like a lot. But, I can never seem to find clean ones in the sizes I want. (I use them to measure smoothie ingredients.) So now I have a few more, which have already gone into the rotation. I love that the ring holding them together is shaped like a cat, although I do typically remove those rings so I can use and wash the spoons individually.

Kitty Cat Bakery Shirt - Retail Value $24.99

Here is this month's apparel item. Long sleeves are finally appreciated around here, it took a while for winter to come. This is not the softest t-shirt we've ever gotten from Cat Lady Box, but it has a nice fit and should soften up with washing, and of course, I love the reference to paw kneading (or "making biscuits"). I recently got rid of a bunch of t-shirts with holes in them so getting new ones is nice, as well.

Turkey Leg Catnip Toy - Retail Value $6.99

This is a larger toy, almost kicker/wrestler size. Monkey and Madison liked cuddling with it but as you can see below, Sneaky was mad at me for waking her up from her slumber. The boys (i.e., Monkey and Madison) also liked the bone part. It seems well made and has some stuffing in addition to catnip inside.

Marge the Meowgarine Catnip Toy - Retail Value $4.99

I think this is very cute. This is a smaller toy that is a good size for tossing. My cats all liked the felt-textured outer surface (some of them licked it and I did get a good licking picture this time).

Gratuitous cat photos:

Madison is the black cat, Sneaky is the calico, and Monkey is tan and white (I was asked in another review which one was which).

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $86.94 for the November 2020 "Crazy" CatLadyBox. That's a fairly typical value for this box, and it's more than twice the month-to-month cost of the subscription, so even if you think one or two items have inflated retail values, you are still coming out ahead. What I really liked about this box was how I got several types of items (e.g., baking rack, measuring spoons) that I've never before received in a subscription box! Also there were a lot of really cute things this month.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Order by today (12/5) to get the December box!

Way back when I signed up, I was contacted to say there were a few past boxes leftover and asked if I’d like one of those. So it may be worth inquiring if you're interested in this box. Or you can purchase items from past boxes in their shop.

I love everything in this box! The shirt has a special place though since my cats name is Tommy Biscuits because he loves making biscuits on you any chance he gets. He loves it and I love him so I let him do it even though it hurts like the dickens. 😻😹

For what it’s worth, the cooling rack is a good size for a pie.

Cute and useful! And looks like pretty good quality stuff 😄 I adopted my first cat in September and I feel like I’m growing into my new role of cat lady well, so this might be my next box!

This is my favorite subscription EVER. Everything is always so useful and cute. This box felt very personal to my kitties because Lucy is a master biscuit chef, and Lorenzo has many many nicknames, including “Turkey” (and he LOVES the turkey leg toy). My kitchen towels are green (matches the spoons) and super soft and absorbent!

This is always my fave month with Cat Lady Box. It’s full of items I will use over and over again. My cats always know when this box arrives. It’s too cute to shake it and tell them “The Cat Lady box is herrrreeeeee – The Cat Lady Box is hereeeeeee” and they come running and want to hop inside the box even before I can fully get it open. They LOOOOOVE the Cat Lady Box and I do too! <3
