Birchbox The Meet Arrow Beauty Kit Review

Here is the info sheet for the box.

ARROW Radiant Skin Moisturizer, 10 ml - Estimated Value $4.80 (buy the 50 ml version for $24)

This moisturizer contains hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, and vitamin b5 for some skin-nourishing goodness. It does have mica in it to give the formula a slight sheen, and I could do without the added fragrance. That being said, this did give my skin a nice glow, and it felt hydrating to my skin.

ARROW Color Enhancing Lip Balm in Blush, 0.14 oz - Retail Value $15

This lip balm is sent in a lot of boxes and discovery kits, so I would have preferred if a different product in this kit was full-sized instead. That being said, this is a nice lip balm. It adjusts with your ph to give a wash of pink color, and it gives the nourishment of a balm without being heavy.

ARROW Nourishing Lip Oil in Color Enhancing Pink, 3 ml - Estimated Value $6.86 (buy the 7 ml version for $16)

I really loved this! I love the texture and nourishment of lip oils, and this was really comfortable on my lips. Like the balm this also adjusts based on ph, so the end result is a really pretty pink that’s “my lips but better.” The pink color remains once the oil is gone, too.

ARROW Cooling Cheek Tint in Berry Pink, 3 ml - Estimated Value $5.40 (buy the 10 ml version for $18)

I am the queen of having naturally-flushed cheeks, so blush and cheek tints are never what I reach for. I did like the cooling effect this gave though – it was refreshing! A tiny bit of this went a long way, and I thought it was a nice pairing with my tinted moisturizer for keeping a natural look while still looking put together.

ARROW Oil Cleansing Spray, 20 ml - Estimated Value $4.80 (buy the 100 ml version for $24)

The very first time I tried this I was a bit hesitant- I am a big fan of double cleansing, but I’m used to thick cleansing balms that I melt with my hands first. The spray-on formula is actually pretty genius, and the texture had a nice slip that spread easily over my face as I was breaking down the full-face of makeup I was wearing. I followed this up with a gel cleanser to make sure all the oil was rinsed away, and I was pleased with how well this removed my makeup with minimal rubbing efforts.

ARROW Detangling Texture & Protect Spray, 20 ml - Estimated Value $4.80 (buy the 100 ml version for $24)

This product is a little lost on me because I always detangle my curls in the shower with deep conditioner, and I very rarely heat style my hair. I did think this added a boost of smoothness to my hair when I spritzed it on damp strands and then air-dried, and I appreciate how the lightweight formula didn’t weigh down my curls.

Verdict: I think this kit will be hit or miss depending on the audience that receives it. It’s a nice mix of beauty, skin, and hair products that covers a lot of bases, and I think this would be good for those who don’t have a large beauty arsenal and would like to try some new products. If you subscribe to Birchbox regularly, though, this box probably won’t make you happy because you'll be seeing some repeats (though the packaging has recently been updated). Value-wise, this box had a promised value of $48 and by my math everything adds up to $41.66. While it’s quite common for these sets from Birchbox to fall a bit below the promised amount, I think that value discrepancy is starker in this set where the box cost was higher to begin with.
