God this is so cute. What a ridiculous price. I am thinking of using this idea for my own Christmas gifts. You can get cute advent calendars on Amazon for like $15. I am totally printing the image for inspiration!
I thought this price was too steep – yet itβs sold out!
Wow!
I just saw that – so either Oprah bought them out of this item to check off her gift list or WS saw the teeheeing going on and withdrew it shamefacedly.
Oh, man. What a laugh! I was looking at it and thinking it was cute, but it is WS so there will be a ridiculous price tag and I thought…oh, what $100? I was sipping my coffee and actually guffawed as I scrolled to the $300 price tag. Quite the warming chuckle. Thanks, WS.
I’ve been playing that game this year too. I look at the items, decide what I’d pay, try to guess what they’re charging, and scroll down to be blown away EVERY TIME. Except the Target Beauty one, that I thought would be around $20 (I’d pay $15).
Companies are insane this year of all years if they think people want to pay such insane prices!
Do you think there will be more or fewer advent calendars available at a discount this year? Last year, I believe Macy’s discounted their calendar ($69? maybe?), but I don’t think The Body Shop did, even after Christmas.

The team that created this calendar should be fired. This is the most ridiculous price imaginable. You can get a 6 pack of that jam online for $7. The bark is a little over $4. The mustard is $6. Oils around $2. And thatβs retail price! Each item in this calendar is basically $12.50. At what delusional point do you think, during a pandemic that a $300 calendar, full of sample items that can all be purchased for 1/4 of the price is a good business move. Greedy and stupid to think they can make a $270 profit on this.
You say that, and I want to agree, yet this is somehow sold out! Iβm sure the creator is getting a raise
Does it say how many they made? It could have been a very small number just for hype
Yes Lana they could have made just a few and it could also be that they pulled it because of all the criticism it received online. Time will tell if it suddenly shows up again, this time on sale at a huge discount.
Hmmm. . .maybe it will go on sale, deeply discounted.
It is a lovely array of items and ornaments, it would be a lot of fun to give or receive, but way overpriced.
I think this is a promotion for Mauviel, an expensive line of cookware. The little items are things that would be used to make fancy food in their cookware. I’d love this box as it is the classiest I’ve seen yet but I cannot afford that.
OMG! I wanted this advent calendar to give and receive this Christmas… until I saw the price tag!
Lol!
Agreed… really silly. Really really silly…
I am beginning to think companies are completely detached from reality. We are in a global pandemic and they think they’re going to fetch $300 for samples?
Huh? This looks like some bric a brac you could assemble at World Market for $40.
Thatβs what I was thinking: this is a great idea that I could totally assemble on my own for a fraction of the cost.
Someone (maybe World Market? Target?) sells a “Fill it yourself” advent calendar for $7.99. I love the idea of a combination of sweets, spices/kitchen tools, etc. but the price tag is outrageous. Thanks for the great idea Williams Sonoma!
Unless there is an actual truffle (and better be big!) in one of those tins and the balsamic vinegar is some specially aged one, this calendar is not worth in my opinion. I can see better ways to spend over $300. The design is lovely though.
I was almost ready to add to cart…until the price tag. What a crazy price. I am glad to see no one else seems to think this is reasonable either. I agree with another reader….the thought behind this sis supposed to get you to try new items and purchase the larger size. My very large jar of Bonne Maman cherry jam was no where close a portion of this price. Maybe we will find them on the clearance rack….
I was excited until I saw the price. Who is buying this???
They have to be CRAZY! 300$ for samples that should be frre. I was thinking 25$ tops just because of the packagng. What is the baking tin for a Barbie house?
Thinking it would be anywhere near $25 for Williams Sonoma is crazy! π No way in hell would I pay $300, but maybe $100ish. That store has some overinflated prices for sure, it almost cost money to walk in there and sniff.
Itβs an ornament.
Yet another crazy, over priced advent calendar. Such a shame. 3 1 oz jams, one candle, two ornaments? $300 and doesnβt include free shipping. If this was priced under $100, I would have bought four for my immediate family. Wallet stays safe! I get that advent calendars are fun but when I can buy an appliance like a stand mixer or amazing blender, or, like someone else said, make a car payment, iβm passing. Clearly not in their demographic
$3 worth of Bonne Maman jam. Nice!
Even the Bonne Maman Advent calendar is only $35 with 24 jars of jams/jellies.
…And the Bonne Maman advent calendar has the fancy pants flavors, not ho-hum, orange, apricot, and strawberry flavors.
I wish Luna would break this down price wise. I could use a laugh.
Luna, Luna, Luna!
LOL! π
this is something I could easily gift to a lot of people – and would have if the price was $100 or less!!
Im sorry but for a “sampler” of items you sell in your store I am astounded ANY advent calendar is priced more than $100!! I thought the intention is to get people to try and LOVE the items and have the buy the full sized items year round…..buttttttt I guess having a huge price tag up front makes more sense in their eyes
Companies are just trolling people now with their advent calendars.
Yes ππ»
Love, love, love Williams Sonoma, however, this is a huge price. Will have to pass, as this is the cost of a car payment, lol.
Exactly what I am thinking! All the advent calendars are so expensive this year!
There really are a ton of way over priced advent calendars this year! I am sure there are people with significant means to be able to purchase many of these advent calendars, I am not one of them, lol.
I think even those that have significant means to purchase this would pass on this because thereβs really nothing that special about it. I would rather spend twice this on the Roomba that Iβm eyeing.
