Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. When you sign up, you take a pretty in-depth survey of your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences. After choosing when you'd like to receive your delivery, your stylist handpicks 5 items based on your preferences. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)
My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Stitch Fix may be completely different!

Stitch Fix for Women October 2020 Review
This is my invoice, which provides specifics on the brand, size, and price of each item. They also give instructions at the bottom for how to check out and either purchase or return your items. My total came to $225.95, but with the 25% discount (which they take off BEFORE deducting the $20!) and the $20 credit, my total drops down to $149.46. That’s a savings of $76.49 on these items. Stitch Fix also includes a prepaid USPS envelope for you to send back any returns or exchanges which makes it so easy and hassle-free!
Your stylist will also include a style sheet with some tips on how to wear the pieces in your Fix. My stylist is Kristie again and she referenced how she included some fall basics. My request this month was for a medium-sized purse, so let's see what she sent!
Tabi Foldover Clutch by Sole Society Handbags - Cost to Keep $59.95
This purse is a great color and I love the smoothness of the material. I also really love that it has an outer pocket, but this is a little small for what I was looking for. I wanted something with just a bit more space. If I didn't already have a small crossbody in a similar color, I probably would have kept this one, but instead, I exercised some self-control and will ask for a slightly bigger bag next month! (I love bags!!!) This does have removable straps to use it as a clutch and the zippered compartment does go the whole way down to the bottom of the bag.
Here you can get a sense of the size.
Haylee Front Pocket Raglan Knit Top, Size M - Cost to Keep $38.00
I really loved this top because it was very much my style. Unfortunately, it was a little too close to my style and I already have two similar black and white striped tops. It was really soft and comfortable, the pocket detail is super cute, and I liked the sleeve length. This would normally have been a winner!
Luna Elbow Patch Button Detail Brushed Knit Top by Pink Clover, Size M - Cost to Keep $38.00
I liked this top a lot, the color is so nice and while I could care less about the elbow patches, I think they add a bit of interest to the top as do the buttons at the top. It's also very soft and it's a thinner top making it a good one to layer with. While I liked it, I didn't think it was very flattering on me. It just felt kind of plain and didn't seem very special for a $38 top.
Carson Crew Neck Button Detail Pullover by Pink Clover, Size M - Cost to Keep $46.00
This sweater was a bit thicker and the buttons at the top are cute and add some detail to what is otherwise a very basic sweater. I liked the cuffed sleeves a lot and thought the length of the arms was very cozy. Again, this just didn't feel too flattering due to the shape, but it's still a great simple sweater that would pair with leggings well.
Hadley Brushed Rib Detail Cardigan by Market & Spruce, Size M - Cost to Keep $44.00
This cardigan is really soft and pretty with a nice brushed knit texture. I love the color on this one which is green, but definitely photographs differently. The length is nice and long and it has pockets at the front. There are also small slits at the side. I liked this one, although I am really into big bulky cardigans right now so I wish this one had a bit more bulk to it so I could get really cozy in it!
The Verdict: Overall, this month's fix felt like it was a bit of a miss. The purse and striped top were both my style, but since I already have a similar striped top and I was looking for a mid-size purse and not a clutch, they weren't quite right. The two pullovers were just okay for me and nothing that really excited me, although the cardigan was really soft and pretty. It was just kind of an okay fix. I really like my stylist though and she did great with my other fixes, so hopefully, my next Stitch Fix delivery will be a bit more exciting. As for the convenience of this service, it can't be beat; especially this time of year when I like to hibernate from the cold and the crowds!

Value Breakdown: This styling service costs $20 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $225.95. The invoice lists the cost of each item next to it, but if I keep all 5 items, then I get a 25% discount. The $20 styling fee for the Fix is applied to the purchase no matter how many items you keep, and in this case, it would bring the total down to $149.46. That’s a discount of around 34% for these items.
