Each month we receive a card that highlights the theme and lists the contents of our box, which includes two sheets of wax paper that serve as placemats for easy cleanup. The three projects all arrive on individual recipe cards that list the ingredients on the back. The directions are easy to follow and any important information is highlighted in red which is always helpful. This month's theme is "Thanksgiving Treats."

Project #1: Acorn Kisses

Our first project was to make some chocolatey acorns using Hershey Kisses, chocolate chips, Mini Nilla Wafers, and some melting chocolate.

I had the kids set out their cookies and unwrap the kisses while I melted the chocolate for us.

I gave them a dollop of chocolate on top of each of their cookies then they added a Hershey Kiss to the flat side. We let the chocolate set for a minute and then I had them dip their chocolate chip into the chocolate on my spoon and they placed it on the other side of the wafer to make the top of the acorn.

These were cute and simple, and had a great chocolatey flavor!

Project #2: Goofy Turkey Buddies

Next, we made Goofy Turkey Buddies using some small pretzel rods, candy-coated sunflower seeds, candy corn, candy eyes, sprinkles, and our leftover chocolate from our first project.

Despite everything being packaged very well, we still had a few broken pretzels. We just turned those into baby turkeys!

I placed a dollop of chocolate on their parchment paper and then rolled a pretzel stick in the chocolate in the bowl before handing it to them. They set it in the chocolate dollop and began adding the details. Candy corn feathers, sunflower seed beaks, and some eyes.

Then they finished them off with some sprinkles.

We had a few extra candy corn pieces so I made a tiny baby turkey. You can see they certainly look goofy, but they were delicious and one of our favorite treats that we've made!

Project #3: Fall Cookie Decorating

The last project was our cookies with yellow, brown, and orange icing for fall.

There were 8 cookies for us to decorate. Two each of turkeys, candy corns, leaves, and acorns.

The kids were so into decorating this month and they really took their time to dress up their turkeys!

I was so proud of my son's turkey! He did a great job! I thought they all turned out pretty great!

Here is our finished plate of treats. We had 6 acorns, 6 turkeys, and 8 cookies.

I love how easy clean up is each month. I just recycle everything inside of the box it came in. Sometimes I keep a few of the plastic containers for crafts, too!

Verdict: This festive Gramma in a Box was really fun and the kids loved all of the delicious treats this month. This box is such an easy one to enjoy since there is no prep work or planning, minimal clean-up, and built-in quality family time! It certainly doesn't hurt that there are treats to enjoy afterward, too! I definitely recommend this box for some easy, simple, family fun!

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!
