The Clean Beauty Box October/November 2020 "Revival" Review

Each month, The Clean Beauty Box features an artist to design their box and info booklet. This month features a moody blue design created by Teresa Chan.

Dafna Skincare Revival Bio-active Beauty Mask, 1.7 fl oz - Retail Value $85.00

This is a pretty unique mask! It is creamy and you can see little charcoal orbs floating around inside of it. In addition to that purifying charcoal, it features hyaluronic acid, ginseng, and reishi. It also has a wee bit of clay, but nothing my dry skin found bothersome. In fact, this mask was pretty moisturizing! I applied it in gentle tapping motions as the instructions said, being careful to leave the black dots in one piece. After waiting for 7 minutes, I then wet my hands with warm water and massaged the mask into my face. You can actually see the encapsulated charcoal bubbles pop which is really cool! After an additional 2 minutes, I washed it off. My skin felt pretty freaking great. Really clean, but not in any way stripped, which is a big plus for me. Sure, it requires a few steps, but the whole thing felt very luxe and it was nice to make a point to take a little extra time and care in my masking routine.

Here is what it looks like when you rub the charcoal capsules!

Dafna Skincare Nutrition, 1.7 fl oz - Retail Value $90.00 (if you are open to the non-vegan formula, you can buy it here for $63.00)

It is important to follow up any mask with a good moisturizer, so I was pleased that one was included in this delivery. There are many delightful skin treats inside this pretty black glass jar! A few callouts include green tea extracts (hello antioxidants!), argan oil, cica (I love you cica), and inflammation-reducing rosewood oil. The texture of this cream is interesting because it has a little bit of a bounce to it. It has a light scent that is a cross between freshness and a little incense. This cream leaves behind such a dreamy smooth texture and though oilier complexions might consider making this a night treat, on my dry face it works great during the day and preps my face beautifully for makeup.

Verdict: The Clean Beauty Box was worth $175 this delivery! That is great for the price of this subscription. I liked both of these products a lot. Now, I am biased. I have dry skin and aging concerns. So all of that nourishment was a dream for me! We are coming up on the season where I just slather my skin in creams to keep it from chapping and looking dreadful, so both of these formulas will be going into my cold-weather routine.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I wasn’t too excited before I got this box – but I am in love. It’s wonderful. Charcoal normally dries me out but this mask does not & the cream is a dream.

This is my second lux beauty sub (I got See New last month) and I’m getting quickly addicted to these fancier skincare boxes lol
