ClarityRx Down + Dirty, 1.7 fl oz - Full Size! Retail Value $28.00
At first glance, I thought this was a mask and I was less excited about it. Then when I actually read the instructions on how to use it, I realized it was an exfoliating treatment, which I was much more pleased with. I tried this out in the shower since I knew it would be messy and I have a few thoughts. First, this formula has menthol and it made my eyes burn. Don't be me. Keep this far away from your peepers. Second, this is a harsher exfoliant than I would normally use on my face but it was pretty refreshing along my mascne suffering jawline. If you have reactive or sensitive skin, maybe save this for the back of your thighs or your arms. This is not the sort of thing I would recommend using more than once a week, but use your best judgment! Not a huge fan here, but at least we do see a full-size item in this month's box.

R+Co SPIRITUALIZED Dry Shampoo Mist, 1.7 fl oz - Travel Size! Retail Value $14.00
This might be the first R+Co product that I really dislike. I get WHY this product exists. A lot of people don't like how chalky and dry a dry shampoo can feel in their hair. But I am not sure this is the solution. When I use dry shampoo (and I go through a ton of dry shampoo!) my main focus is on my roots. They are what usually shows oil and grease first, right? So I flip my head upside down and spray this on my roots. The nozzle has a fine mist which was what I was expecting. But I am sad to say that this just made my roots look greasier even after finger combing. They stayed damp for a few minutes and the whole situation did get better once the product was completely dry, but it didn't feel good or work any better on my tresses than traditional dry shampoo.

Sunday Riley C.E.O. Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream, 0.3 oz - Estimated Value $11.54 (buy 1.69 fl oz for $65.00)
Sure, this pot is little. But if you have ever tried C.E.O., you know a little goes a long way. This cream was designed to provide deep hydration while protecting against pollution and aging with the power of vitamin C. Vitamin C is a really beneficial ingredient for skin health but it is also notoriously unstable. This cream uses a stabilized form that stays potent and has a longer shelf life with less risk of oxidation. I have made it through an entire bottle of this stuff and it totally helped with my skin's overall hydration and texture over time. There is some drying alcohol in here, but it shows up pretty far down in the ingredient list and I never noticed an issue, even with my dry skin.

Lancer Skincare Active Rejuvenation Serum with Triple Dermal Complex, 0.15 oz - Estimated Value $22.50 (buy a full size 1 fl oz for $150.00)
This was another tiny sample with a beefy price tag. Again though, you barely need much of this to get coverage! I don't know if a dropper bottle was the best way to package this because the serum is on the thicker side and almost feels like a cream. Anyway, I wish this stuff was less expensive. Because I kind of loved it! It has a lot of things on its ingredient list that give me the warm and fuzzies and it just felt incredible on my face. This stuff contains amino acids, nourishing botanical extracts, and loads of fatty lipids that are ideal for drier skin with texture concerns, like mine. Applying this felt like pre-gaming my sleep mask and after wearing such a combo overnight, my skin was looking real plush in the morning. Time to buy a lottery ticket!

Slip Midi Scrunchie in 'Caramel' - Estimated Value $9.00 (buy a set of 5 for $45.00)
This might be the item I was most excited about in this month's box. I live with a scrunchie in my hair and silk ones are my go-to because, in addition to making me feel super fancy, they are also more gentle on my hair than elastics. This scrunchie arrived in a beautifully neutral shade that looks very pretty and chic in my hair or on my wrist.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Overnight Matrix, 15 mL - Estimated Value $69.00 (buy a full size 50 mL for $230.00)
I had to recalculate the estimated value for this a few times to make sure I just didn't forget how to do math, but yes, $69 is what it calculates out to. My first impression of this product was that it smelled a lot like some of the Sisley products I used to review. That immediately puts me into a happy headspace because I love those tearjerkingly expensive creams! While I thought this cream was fine, it didn't justify such a price tag in my mind. Some ingredient callouts include squalane, hyaluronic acid, and grapeseed oil, but if you are in any way sensitive to added fragrances or essential oils, this is likely not for you. I also could have done without the addition of menthol. I just don't think my face needs to feel cold from a cream. That's what my jade roller is for, right? I will say that this cream felt nice on my face and left it hydrates (although chilly) but for the money, there are so many options out there that aren't this expensive.
Verdict: This month's BeautyFIX has a value of $150.17 which is pretty great for a $24.95 box! That being said, this wasn't my favorite curation. I am not sold on the benefits of that exfoliating formula when I compare them to how harsh I found it. I also felt a little 'meh' about the Elemis product because compared to its price it was just ok. I found the dry shampoo to be lacking as well. On the flip side, I LOVED the scrunchie, serum, and I am always fine with a little extra C.E.O. in my stash.
