Oh I have been WANTING to try the Holifrog. It’s won all kinds of awards and looks super interesting but I didn’t want to spend that on a cleanser. I hope the rest of the box is just as good!!!
Awesome! I ended up getting both kits 🙂 I just checked, and they’re both still available! I’m mostly shocked by that, but at the same time I can understand why people may want to hold off on getting one right now. Her Summer kits didn’t sell out right away either, but I was still up at 3am this morning to ensure I secured my Autumn kits, lol. Next year, she’ll be coming out with monthly smaller cheaper kits too! These will be in addition to her larger seasonal kits. I can’t wait! 😀
Any reviews or comments on the items in this kit? It looks good to me, but I haven’t tried any of the products. It’s my goal to be a little more selective on the subs/kits/boxes I choose. 🙂
Britt,
I love the Boscia cactus water moisturizer, it’s similar to Belief water bomb but I felt it hydrated better and I have combo/oily skin. The First aid beauty cleanser is a great all around non stripping cleanser, the Bioderma is not my favorite but some swear by it, I felt oily after using it. I have not tried this Skinmedica product, but I do love the products I have tried. These items from Naturopathica, Avene, and Coola are new to me but I liked the Sunday Riley serum. It’s a good Vit C serum but I’m a die hard Skinceuticals CE Ferulic fan despite the smell….although I have been cheating on Skinceuticals with the 111 skin serum because I couldn’t pass up the deal on Ipsy add-ons ($25/ $135 serum)
I hope this helps. I’m ordering 2 of these sets. One for myself for stocking stuffers for my daughters, one for my Mom. It’s a GREAT deal on good products!
I’m a serial one-box-at-a-time subscriber, so with the new shipping charge on the 1st box (which I think is fair) I’ll either need to consider switching up my strategy with Beauty Fix (maybe take a chance and wait until a couple of boxes I really want are later on sale for $24.99) or just consider this a ~$30 box now. I still think $30 is still worth it at times. I really would like to try this cleanser, but considering its full cost (plus, I just generally want to halt as many new subs as possible in November & December) I’ll wait for full spoilers to see if it feels like a $30 box…. and especially if it feels good enough for me to break my no new-sub rule for November. 🙂
OMG you sound just like me with my comparisons!! lol!!!
I always weigh them especially this time of year…. I have three boxes. Here’s a tip. Elle box went up and I told them I did not like that and she sent me back saying they would offer the next two boxes at 15 each since I was going to be leaving. Never hurts to try and of course i bit!! lol
Well Luna if you treat it as a stand alone $30 box then it doesn’t count as a new sub right? 🙂
Kidding aside, that’s probably how I am going to approach Beauty Fix from now on. I just haven’t liked enough of their boxes lately to stay subscribed long term. If the rest of this box looks good it might be worth $30 to me although my budget is still hurting from my advent calendar run!
Ooooh, I like how you think! 😀 But unfortunately, I’m trying to put myself on a no-buy for the next two months when it comes to online purchases (with very few exceptions… I gotta allow myself a tiny bit of wiggle room if I see something that I just HAVE to have, lol… and I’m betting without having seen full spoilers yet that this box isn’t a “gotta have it now!” box to break my little rule 😉 ).
Its not worth it to pay for shipping so with the 2 products being shown and the shipping changed me to NO. I will wait to see all the spoilers. Thanks for updating us about the ridiculousness of shipping.
I always complain about all of the cleansers in subs, but today I was going through my stash because I didn’t like the cleansers that I was trying and I pretty much don’t have any suitable for my skin lol. I’ll keep my eye on this box. This looks like a nice product.
I hate to bring bad news but BF no longer has free shipping. It’s now $5.95. I don’t know when the change came but it’s showing free shipping on orders over $35 and when I add this month’s box to my cart it does adds shipping.
I know there’s a code somewhere for free shipping….just need to search
I ordered the October box and cancelled afterward to avoid being billed until I saw spoilers. I just chatted with customer service to see if they could just reverse the cancellation and was told that no, the only thing I could do was resubscribe and be charged for the shipping. 🙁
I think this is a smart way for them to discourage constant cancellations, but at the same time, their boxes have been more hit or miss in the past year than previously. Their boxes are almost always worth it to me (high-quality skin care from established brands and an authorized retailer that I wouldn’t be able to afford to try otherwise), but I don’t love the idea of a $5 penalty for skipping a month or two, which is realistically what it would look like for me since I currently buy-in most months after reading the spoilers.
In the fine print area of the sub page it says you will be charged shipping for the first box, then free shipping from then on. Not helpful if you only want the one box, but just thought I would mention it.
Is using a product for only seven days actually effective? I looked at the reviews for the Babor Collagen Ampoules and it’s rated really well, but $50 for 7 days is out of my price range if it’s something that needs to be used consistently. Any input?
…. random thought on any 7 day “experience” … any good thing you can do for your skin/body will never be in vain… even if moving on after each week… 🤷🏻♀️
Actually the science on collagen applied topically is really iffy in general, much less only applied for seven days. But to me the box is worth it based on the Holifrog. Everything else is a fun bonus!
My skin reacts quickly to products so I generally know fairly quickly if an item is worth the longterm investment. This box started my obsession with Skinceuticals CE Ferulic by trying a sample size and although expensive, it’s definitely worth it for me. The difference in my skin is absolutely amazing!
