The Beem Box September 2020 Review

The Beem Box came with a single info card that has a quick overview of the box and product information on one side.

Honey Jarret Clean Whip Cleanser, 3.52 oz - Retail Value $18.00

I love receiving cleansers and I was super pumped to try this Honey Jarret Clean Whip Cleanser. I'm a huge fan of K-beauty and skincare products. My eye was immediately drawn to the minimalistic, clean packaging. The cleanser has a light floral scent, almost like a bouquet of roses. The product has a light, silky cream texture that forms a nice, luxurious lather. After washing my face, my skin felt so clean and fresh, with a hydrated bright glow and bounce. There was no oily or greasy residue left behind and no dirt or makeup either. Infused with Madecassoside, Panthenol, and Centella, this brightening cleanser is perfect for nourishing and soothing sensitive skin.

MOIRA Loose Setting Powder in 03 Medium, 6 g - Retail Value $10.00

The MOIRA Cosmetics Loose Setting Powder in 03 Medium is formulated with collagen and Vitamin E to help hydrate skin and blur the look of pores and fine lines while softening your complexion. I am very intrigued by the inclusion of collagen and Vitamin E in this product's formula and the benefits that it could have for my skin. I love anything with a dual purpose. If a product can set my makeup while also nourishing my skin, I think that is an ideal combination. This MOIRA setting powder is designed to hold makeup in place all day for long-lasting wear and to absorb oil and reduce that look of greasy shine you get from spending hours in foundation. I received the setting powder in 03 Medium, which seems to compliment my skin tone.

Vera Moore Cosmetics Blush in Sangria, 0.17 oz - Retail Value $16.50

This Vera Moore Cosmetics Blush in Sangria is the perfect color to complement darker skin tones. Highly pigmented, a little bit of this product goes a long way. It's buildable and applies smoothly without streaking or fallout. On top of that, Vera Moore Cosmetics is a 100% female, Black-owned business, creating beauty and skincare products that cater specifically towards women of color and deeper skin tones. This blush also looked great on my mother, who has a much deeper skin tone than I do, demonstrating the sheer versatility of the product.

Ruby May Cosmetics Indica Eyeshadow Palette, 6 Pan - Retail Value $24.99

I love when products utilize cannabis or hemp in their formula, so I was thrilled to see this Ruby May Cosmetics Indica Eyeshadow Palette infused with cannabis sativa. These infused eyeshadows harness the benefits of hemp seed oil, including anti-inflammation, skin cell repair, balanced oil production, hydration, and anti-aging properties. The colors are bright and vibrant, highly pigmented shades that pop on any skin tone. With minimal fallout, this palette is perfect for experimenting with colorful, bold looks. The shimmers were even more vibrant than the mattes and all applied smoothly and were buildable.

Beem Box Beauty Beem Powder Brush, 1 pc -  Retail Value $18.00

This Beem Box Beauty Beem Powder Brush has a giant, soft-bristled top, perfect for applying setting powder. The luxurious, soft rounded head features ultra-light synthetic fibers that give it the versatility to apply both compact and loose powders. I love the tapered handle. It's perfect for a comfortable hold and precise application. The weight of the brush is also nice. The handle is a heavy metal, giving it some heft. The little bow on the packaging makes you feel like you're receiving a perfect little gift on a holiday. Would I personally pay $18 for this brush? I doubt it. I find that price a little inflated, but I do enjoy this brush.

Verdict: I really enjoyed this month's The Beem Box. I think there was a good variety of products. I really enjoyed the Honey Jarret Clean Whip Cleanser. I'm always excited to receive a K-beauty product, especially skincare. The Ruby May Cosmetics Indica Eyeshadow Palette was a great addition to the box. I love that The Beem Box is incorporating products that are formulated with cannabis and hemp. I was also intrigued by the MOIRA Cosmetics Loose Setting Powder in 03 Medium, specifically because of the addition of collagen and Vitamin E in this particular formula. The Vera Moore Cosmetics Blush in Sangria is a highly concentrated pigment that can do a big job with just a little blush. I love how the color complements darker skin tones. The Beem Box Beauty Beem Powder Brush may be slightly overpriced, but it is absolutely adorable and incredibly fluffy and soft. With a retail value of $87.49 on a $39.95 box + $5.00 shipping, you definitely get your money's worth. I think The Beem Box does a great job catering this subscription to women of color and with darker skin tones. A lot of thought must go into the curation and selection of their products to find exactly what works best for their subscribers.

YES FEMALE OWNED! ☺️

Gorgeous products! I’ve used the cleanser before and REALLY loved it, you need only the tiniest amount.
I really wish that this box was available in Canada! I’m actually very pale (NC15) but I love gifting products that I can’t use, and discovering new ones.
