PinkSeoul Mask Box Review

Prior to purchasing a subscription, PinkSeoul will ask you several customization questions. Some products are more appropriate/recommended for a particular skin type so be sure to figure out what your skin type is.

Here is the info sheet for the box.

Ultru Galactomyces Drylock Mask - Retail Value $5.00

Galactomyces is a popular K-Beauty ingredient, and it’s a fancy name for fermented yeast. Google says it’s technically a fungus, but that doesn’t make it any less good for your skin (just like probiotics are technically bacteria). This mask features a hefty dose of galactomyces (69%, to be exact), and that’s paired with goodies like aloe, niacinamide, and soybean ferment extract. My skin soaked this up, and I definitely felt like I had a bit of a glow when I was done wearing this.

Mamonde Flower Lab Rose Essence Mask - Retail Value $3.00

Mamonde Flower Lab Camellia Essence Mask - Retail Value $3.00

I like this brand – it is becoming more mainstream (you can find it at Ulta!), and I tried this sheet mask before thanks to my Allure subscription. The masks had a slight slimy texture that was a bit slippery to unfold, but once I had the mask on my face the texture was especially pleasant. The camellia targets anti-aging while the rose is soothing, and both were hydrating moisture bombs that left my face happy.

Tony Moly Propolis Pureness 100 - Value $2.00

Tony Moly Snail Mucin Pureness 100 - Value $2.00

Tony Moly is another well-known brand, and the Pureness 100 masks feature a sheet mask made of 100% cotton that hasn’t been bleached – you can even see some of the natural color variations in the fibers. Both the propolis and snail mucin mask were designed to soothe, and that was perfect for my face. These masks fit well, had enough serum to really moisturize my face, and were just all around enjoyable to use.

Missha Pure Source Honey Pocket Pack - Value $2.50

Missha Pure Source Green TeaPocket Pack - Value $2.50

These pocket packs are handy dandy sleeping masks that are portable enough to truly fit in your pocket. The ingredients list didn’t particularly impress me, but using a thin layer on top of my nightly moisturizer did give my skin an extra boost of hydration while I slept the night away. The texture can be a bit slick if you use too much, so start small and apply more product as needed.

Missha Phyto-Chemical Lycophene Skin Supplement Mask - Value $4.00

Missha Phyto-Chemical Betacarotene Skin Supplement Mask - Value $4.00

Missha Phyto-Chemical Chlorophyll Skin Supplement Mask - Value $4.00

Okay, these masks are really cool. Each mask features fruit and vegetable extracts designed to target different skin concerns, and the color of the sheet masks reflected the phytochemical. A peek at the ingredients list didn’t reflect any dye or other artificial colorants, so that leads me to believe the fun blue shade of the chlorophyll mask and the light orange shade of the Betacarotene came naturally from the fruit and veggies inside. Each mask was hydrated and soothing to my skin, and my face soaked up all of the nutrients these had to offer.

CP-1 Ceramide Premium Silk Ampoule - $4.00

This is a leave-in hair treatment that adds keratin, ceramides, and amino acids to dry and thirsty strands. I finger comb this through damp hair, focusing on the ends, and my curls definitely seem a bit happier when I use this.

Pink Seoul Bag - Retail Value $12.00

This box will always feature an accessory item, and the flower design on this reusable bag is lovely. I live in a second-floor apartment and have developed a kombucha habit, so study bags like these really come in handy when I’m hauling in groceries but refusing to make more than one trip. Plus, it folds up pretty small and tucks into a bag, so I can keep one in my purse with minimal space should a last-minute grocery store trip occur.

The Verdict: This box featured a lot of repeats for me but I found it to be rather comforting because all of the masks were ones I enjoyed. Plus, when you review sheet mask subscription boxes every month for over two years, you’re going to see some familiar faces. I definitely think the quality of these masks is there, too – if I received this exact box next month I would be perplexed, but my skin would happily use them. Value-wise, this box adds up to $48, which is about standard for this subscription.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the November box.

I read all of your reviews Jessica.
Your honesty is refreshing and the humor is appreciated. I also enjoy hearing the little tidbits about your life in Louisiana. I live South, way South of Miami and I enjoy hiking in the Everglades. When I tell people about an Alligator walking right out in front of me on the trail. -They can’t believe it!
