PinkSeoul Mask Box Review

Prior to purchasing a subscription, PinkSeoul will ask you several customization questions. Some products are more appropriate/recommended for a particular skin type so be sure to figure out what your skin type is.

Here is the info sheet for the box.

Pinkseoul Hairband – Retail Value $8

I received this hairband in my July/August Pink Seoul Plus Box, but I am a disorganized fool who will willingly take backups of everything because of how easily I misplace things. This headband is comfortable, fluffy, and cute – what else could I ask for when I'm doing my skincare?

Benton Aloe BHA Toner, 30 ml – Estimated Value $2.85 (buy the 200 ml version for $19), Listed Value $6

I am a BIG Benton fan, and this toner is one I have been wanting to try from them. Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHA's) are more gentle exfoliants due to their molecular weight, and this is paired with aloe and snail mucin to add moisture to the skin. If a full-size of this toner appears in a future box, you won't see me complaining.

A’pieu Madecassoside Gauze Mask – Retail Value $4

A'pieu is another brand I really like, and its Madecassoside line is genuinely one of my all-time favorites. I use the Madecassoside Fluid that I received in a previous box on a daily basis, so this sheet mask is a welcome addition to my life. Madecassoside is a component of Centella Asiatica, a soothing botanical that is amazing for those with dry, sensitive, or acne-prone skin. Actually, I can't think of anyone who wouldn't benefit from this powerhouse ingredient. This sheet mask pairs Centella Asiatica with niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and Licorice Root extract. My skin has been in pretty good shape lately so I will be saving this for when my skin is irritated in the future, but I actually have used this mask before and can tell you that it lives up to its soothing, hydrating promises.

Isntree Mugwort Gauze Mask – Retail Value $4

Isntree Calendula Gauze Mask – Retail Value $4

Gauze masks seem to be a theme in this month's box, and these sheet masks are reminiscent of the material used to dress wounds. It is still a comfortable sheet mask, and I found both the mugwort and calendula formulas to be hydrating to my skin.

SNP Gold Collagen Sleeping Pack, 3 ct – Estimated Value $4.50 ($1.50 each)

I enjoy the SNP sheet masks I have tried, but the sleeping masks have been missing more than hitting. That stayed true for this Gold Collagen Sleeping Pack – it was sticky and took a long time to absorb into my skin, and eventually, I gave up waiting and topped the sleeping mask with a facial oil just so it wouldn't get all over my pillow and I could go to bed. My skin was hydrated and plump the next morning, but it wasn't worth the hassle.

ENature Vita 8 Nutritive Sheet Mask – Retail Value $2.50

The hallmark of this sheet mask is the multitude of nutrients in the ingredients list, including vitamins C, E, B5, and B12, and licorice and ginger root extracts. The sheet mask wasn't sticky, and after using it I thought my tired face looked a bit perked up.

Sur Medic+ Bright Glutathione Mask – Retail Value $3.80

I love a mask that will hug my jawline and extend over my neck, and that is exactly what this did. The ingredients list on this mask was fab, with niacinamide, glutathione (an antioxidant), mulberry bark, and licorice root extract, all packed inside a sheet mask that was comfortable to wear. My skin looked happy and hydrated when I took this off, too!

Missha Pure Source Pocket Pack in Aloe, 10 ml - Retail Value $2.50

Missha Pure Source Pocket Pack in Tea Tree, 10 ml - Retail Value $2.50

These Pocket Packs are sleeping masks that are ultra-portable and fun to squeeze. Both the aloe and tea tree version are designed to soothe (just what my skin needs), but as a sleeping mask, I thought the finish was a bit sticky. That can always be fixed by applying a facial oil on top, but some people may not like the added step.

Innisfree My Real Squeeze Ginseng Mask – Retail Value $1.80

Innisfree is a K-Beauty brand that is becoming more widely known (some of their products are now carried by Sephora), and while I have multiple products from them that I love, I won't forget that these squeeze masks were my first introduction to the brand. I appreciate that the mask is both affordable and was also soothing to my skin, with the mask liquid being a thicker, cream-type serum that provided a boost of hydration. Along with ginseng, this mask also contains Centella Asiatica, panthenol, and glycerin.

Tony Moly Aloe Chok Chok Mask Sheet - Retail Value $2

I am familiar with the Tony Moly Chok Chok line – the focus is on green tea, and that paired with aloe made for a hydrating mask that I enjoyed using. This one doesn't have a lot of frills, but sometimes a simple mask is just what I want.

The Verdict: It takes me a while to go through all ten masks sent each month, but this is still a box I look forward to. I’ve found that I’m dealing with more sensitivity and acne lately, so having a stash of sheet masks delivered monthly is helping me soothe my stressed-out skin. I've received the pocket pack masks before from a different box so those weren't that exciting for me, but overall I enjoyed the masks sent this month. Value-wise, this box adds up to $41.65, which is a bit lower than usual but still about $10 more than the cost of the box.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the October box.
