Enchanted Crystal of the Month Review

First, you'll see a greeting from Adam of Enchanted Crystal. I love these personal notes as they explain behind the scenes details. Sounds like Adam has really been enjoying the online crystal community!

Our specimen this month is Hematoid Quartz!

Hematoid Quartz

FYI: This piece is about 2.5 inches tall.

LOOK at this beauty! If you read my Enchanted Crystal reviews, you know I am crazy for both quartz and points, and both of these loves come together beautifully in this hematite included quartz. This piece is so full of inclusions and interesting little lines and speckles. I could stare at it for hours! It is also going to make a great addition to my points collection that lives on the mantle in my office.

Enchanted Crystal always sends bonus crystals or minerals in a small bag as well.

Good to Know: These are all less than an inch long.

Wine Quartz

This wine-colored quartz looks fall ready! I love the different shades of deep red that remind me very much of red fall leaves.

Black Cream Chert

This is a type of tumbled flint that has pretty translucent and black inclusions. I like the subtle look of these stones and the semi-matte tumbled finish!

Black Onyx

Is this black onyx? I guess I have never seen golden black quartz. Either way, this looks like some sort of magical amber-colored jelly bean that holds such pretty light inside.

Verdict: This month's Enchanted Crystal selection was a hit! I absolutely love points and included quartz varieties are among my favorite types of specimens. I also really loved the different fall shades of orange, red, grey, and black that arrived in this month's collection.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

Yes, that is not “black” onyx. I’d say it’s a sardonyx, but onyx nonetheless. Very pretty!

Most black onyx on the market has been artificially colored. The banding is natural.

What a fun subscription!! I really want to do an eye shadow look inspired by the wine quartz, those are beautiful! Everything is beautiful actually, but there is something about the wine quartz that made me start thinking about playing with some eye shadow. At first, it looked like there were little gold flecks in them, but on closer inspection I don’t think there were. Still, really want to try this wine quartz look now!

For some reason I thought that everyone would receive the same types of crystals each month but I received something totally different. I placed my order on October 4 and received it on October 8, very impressed with the shipping. However I received a rainbow fluorite that is about 5 inches tall. Beautiful crystal! I also received 2 small amethyst, 2 white howlites and 2 brecciated jaspers as bonus crystals. I really like my first box. I was also charged on October 15 which is when they charge each month apparently and I’m guessing that’s for November’s box. Is that correct?

rainbow fluorite sounds amazing!!! I think they must have variations each month. I guess it would be hard to have a ton fo the same crystal. That charge does sound like a November one.
