This looks pretty great, but not enough for me to regret not getting the annual. Glambag Plus has been knocking it out of the park for me lately.

I bought this for $5 on a recent FFF sale. Not saying it’s a bad product but not wowed by the “value”.

I’m good with this choice. I’m truly a sucker for serums.

Out of curiosity, I looked up that serum on the Dermelect website and its $42 and gets great reviews! 😀

This looks like the same type of items brand/size they were sending for the 15(almost 17 with tax) before. I know there will be a lot of “but we got the yearly deal so we paid x..y..z” for the year..but not all of us could do this. I’ve been a loyal subject for almost 6yrs, no skipping a month or anything. I’ve red they took the boxes away..I use them for storing or gift giving.

Allure has connections to the fashion and industry for decades, you would think since they chose to raise the price to a drastic increase, they would at least, step it up and send out better items/brands in a mailer (or whatever they call it) Sad they are making all these changes at once. They could have stepped up their boxes and THEN raised prices.

Where did you hear they changed the box they send the items in? That’s disappointing

I’m just going to say, I know for the next year we will hear about people taking the “year deal” and seeing them do the math about how they are okay with products/vs price because they paid x..y..z… which is less than the original 1t dollar price.

That’s great, but some of us didnt do that. I have been subbed for 5 almost 6 years…no skipping months and coming back, I would ride out the bad months and deal with it.

These items last month and now the two shown this month are STILL items we would have paid the 15.00 plus tax (mine was almost 17 a month) and now I am paying 23 plus tax (almost 25 ish) these products are NOT what I want to see. I know Allure gave the killer deal to a lot of people ( I couldnt afford that much at once because I rehab animals, and just had 2 cats that were likely hit by vehicles come to me, and their lives and vet Bill’s were a priority over paying the year, which I’m sad because not in pay more money, but animal lives always had to be a priority)

So with this said, the majority of us out here paying almost 25 dollars for the same size/type of brands/items we were getting for the almost 17 is bad. I mean, it’s not like they upped out two or three dollars…yet they keep sending out samenol, same ol. Either they are going to have to make huge changes when all these yearly peoples rates are up, or they are going to loose a lot if bussiness, if they havent already.

Allure has connections in the model and fashion industry, so you would think out of ALL boxes, they would ha e the game locked because of this, yet they don’t. Their monthly magazine looks like a small brochure these days (when I was a 12/13 for YEARS I would walk down every month and buy allure, 17, cosmopolitan and a couple more that escapes me) so Allure is special to me all these years later, so I’m trying to be loyal, ut they are making it very difficult.

I feel the same! I splurged for the yearly subscription And even though I love the allure boxes, i love them at the $15 price point. I do not see justifying a price increase when the box value/items seems to be the same As before. I also look forward to my allure magazines as well but now the issues are definitely thinner and includes a lot of advertisement for allure beauty box info. If both things don’t change I will definitely cancel my membership to both when it comes time to renew.

What I don’t understand is why September is your first box when you sign up today. We are almost in the middle of October.

When I signed up towards the end of September I received an email that said it would take up to twenty days to receive my first box. I have yet to get it or the mega bundle I was promised.

Is this common and what I should expect?

Christina

When I first signed up months ago it took awhile, like a month or so to receive my first box, and my bundle came separately after that. But the next months to currently I receive them about the same time each month:)

They’re slow but they’ll come through. I just got the mega bundle though and it’s not great. If you were a subscriber before, they’re all duplicates. I think it’s fine if you’re a new subscriber.

When I signed up and got a mega bundle, it shipped separately and arrived a couple weeks after my first box arrived.

Joy-Not the Other One

Margie, I signed up for the annual special the last day it was offered (10/01). I received my first box today (10/14). I called customer service because for some reason I was expecting my Mega Bundle to arrive before my first box and customer service was SO NICE! She told me the mega bundle was shipped separately and gave me my tracking number. I also had to call them a few days ago for another issue and they were super great then as well. I’m not going to lie, I VERY VERY VERY much appreciate that Allure has a PHONE NUMBER where you can call and easily reach a live person. I use email when I have no other choice but calling is so much less hassle in my opinion. So, what I am trying to get at after my accidental paragraph here (LOL) is if I were you I would give them a call and I bet they will be able to tell you exactly what you want to know! 🙂 1-800-274-1603

Thank you for that. When dealing with things like this I prefer talking to a real person.

On another note. I subbed for the year and for less than $14 a box I am liking the products so far. The way I figure it- if you get one hero product that you really like out of each box everything else is gravy!

Jamey

Yes, allure usually takes a while to get your first box going. When I subbed through amazon I got it quicker and at the 5th to the 8th?? Then when I ordered through allure itself I might not get mine until 15th to the 22nd. And I’ve been signed up for 5 years or so, and they ALWAYS take a while. Especially with sending extras or bonus gifts. Sometimes they send out necklaces or earrings to some, but not the others etc. But it will show up…and in the 5 years, I THINK I’ve got tracking ,maybe 5 times or so…usually just wait for it to show up. It’s most definitely not one you sit and track and wait around for. Lol

I really like allure.. I am happy to try the dermelect product because I never tried that brand. I’m hoping they add at least 4 flsode products from time to time… I really like the brands that is whu I havent cancelled.

I just got my October Allure and was disappointed they stopped sending the little handy boxes I used to use for makeup in my drawers! Now it’s just a cardboard mailer than opens up with no box inside like it used to be. I can’t believe they raised the price and cut out the boxes! Oh well

The box can be used to store stuff. They’re a lot like the boxes MAC and Clinique would send. It’s still a fairly sturdy item, so that’s something.

I saw this note sent by Allure:
You might notice your Beauty Box looks a little different this month—that’s because we needed an even bigger box to fit more products, more full-size items, and even more value in your latest haul!
Let’s wait and see how they package the November box.

Oh, no! I haven’t received my box yet, but this is so disappointing. First they go from the cool little vinyl bags to the boxes, now no boxes! I used them to store my stashes under my sink. Such a disappointment.

Reply ButtonReply

Dawn

They started with the boxes and it was such a disappointment to get the bags. I was happy when they went back to the boxes, so it’s a bummer they’re not using them anymore.

R

Oh I love this! I’m almost done with my bottle, so this would be a perfect timing for me.
