  1. I called to cancel and got the October and November boxes for $15. After that, I am canceling. I have enough cleanser and serums to last me for at least the next year. And enough eye creams and moisturizers for at least 6 months. I do love skincare but it’s not usually the skincare I need.

I signed up for the IPSY glam bag and it’s o.k. so far. It’s only $12 so almost half of Allure’s new pricing. It isn’t as good as Allure for $15 but that’s not an option anymore.

  2. Please forgive me for the repost but I can’t seem to get an answer. I am just curious, has anyone purchased the October box directly from Amazon as opposed to directly from Allure? I’m curious because usually the picture on Amazon shows the same products that are in the box that comes from having an Allure subscription but this month the picture is slightly different. And honestly the Amazon picture looks pretty great so I’m wondering if I should order that one…can anyone comment please? Thank you!

    • Hello, I only get my boxes directly through Allure, but I did just look it up on Amazon. You are right, the photo on Amazon looks a lot more exciting 🙂 I can say that the 1st photo looks like a mix of boxes from August box (Erno Laszlo black detox bar), September (the Elf or NYX brush, Elemis cleansing balm, Wander Beauty Mascara) and October box (Vitamin C powder, and Vero eye serum) and the Appeal lipstick is from way back. The second photo on Amazon showing the actual box with items is a mix of July box with the Peach Lily serum and the OSEA cleanser, and the Pixi Rose serum was in August.

I know this does not really help answer your question. Does anyone know is Amazon Allure box is usually a mix of products from past months?

      • The first photo on Amazon looks like the stock photo on ABB site. I don’t get mine from Amazon either, but the 2nd photo also looks like a mix of past boxes.

      • Keep scrolling until you see “October Allure Beauty Box”. It shows the contents of the box and it is exactly what I got in my box direct from Allure.

  3. I’m so sad to say I’m going to cancel. Higher price, it’s mostIy skincare, not a variety like the used to. I can’t take the lowered quality and if I get one more face mask…. So bye bye Allure 🙁

  4. I love the Allure Beauty Box more than any other I’ve tried. I cancelled all my other subscriptions in favor of this one but I really expected to see some sort of quality increase with a 50% price increase and I’m not seeing it so far. Items are about the same as they were before, and it just doesn’t seem like a $23 box with all the small sample sizes.

    • I couldn’t agree more. 50% price hike and not much to show for it, I may end up ditching Allure soon.

    • I read in one of the comments that you can still sign up for the annual 15 dollars a box currently if that is something that interests you. I signed up the end of last month but like I said I think some of the comments said you could still sign up now.

  5. I received me October 2020 box that has price increase to $23. I did not think it was worth the extra money. To me it was a box that I would get for $15. Been getting them faithfully for about 3 years. I told their customer service that I did not feel it was worth the increased price and for them to raise the price during pandemic just felt wrong! I told her there is no option to skip a month like Ipsy. She said you can but you have to call them by a certain date. I am sorry but why can’t you add that to website and make it easy for your customers. I am sad I won’t receive anymore but money it tight right now.

    • I have my sub for Allure through Amazon and they do have the skip option. I went on there a while ago to cancel and ended up just skipping Nov. just in case I maybe like Dec. box. It’s crazy that Amazon has a skip button but the main Allure website doesn’t and they make customers call.

  6. I’ve been needing to put myself on a budget. It’s fun getting surprises every month. I think it was perfect at $15 a month. I don’t think it’s work $23 dollars, they knew not to say $25 because it doesn’t compare to other $25 boxes. I loved it at first. But it’s too much for to get unwanted left overs like it’s a deal. I don’t need so many eye creams. That’s my problem. I love how it’s introduced me to taking care of myself but I’d rather buy 1 quality product o really like then $23 and then be resentful. The only good part was giving them away as presents. Sorry for my long ode to subscription boxes.

  7. @Heidi – Definitely check! I expected to be billed $23, but Allure only charged 15.

Until a day or two ago, I hadn’t received any notification about the price change, had only read about it online. This recent email says they will start charging $23 in December and offers a year for $165. That’s very tempting, but it’s a lot for me to set aside for something so nonessential all at once.

  8. @MSA can you update your written description to say $23 a month instead of the previous price $15? These look amazing and I’m thinking of resubscribing. I love Allure! Such amazing products, always some full sizes! But dang I really wish I had resubscribed for a year before the price increase. It’s so much more now!! Ugh.

    • They sent an email last week to “loyal” subscribers saying we had until Nov 1st to lock in the 165/year. So, I would call them or see if it is still available online for that rate!

      • I did get an email that says people can still signup to lock in the $14ish rate x12 months by calling 1-800-274-1603 and pay $165 for the year until December 1, 2020. I just looked this email up and found a follow up email from Allure apologizing for stating incorrectly the new price increase of $23 starting on December 1 and really it was supposed to say October 1, 2020. With that said…the email I received on October 20, 2020 said they will still honor this deal if you CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE @ 1-800-274-1603. =)

I signed up last minute on September 30, 2020 for the year at $165 and got the free mega bundle for signing up for the lock in lower rate. My mega bundle was very different than any I have seen on YouTube or read about on here. I also agree that this new and improved beauty box with a $10 monthly increase feels like exactly the same box as before…if not even less exciting. I’m glad I did lock in my price though. I’m sure it will get better =)

    • If you call them they will still do the yearly deal, through November.

  9. Not gonna try to defend the MK lip mask (as I have disliked almost every single one of their makeup items I have tried; lack of pigment or staying power or in the case of primers, they pill) but I have found they make good bath products! No, seriously, that stuff is decent. Maybe they should shift their focus.
