Surprisly August 2020 Review
1 of 4 2 of 4 3 of 4 4 of 4 Little Green Radicals Dusky Pink Seersucker Frill Romper – Retail Value $35.88 (£27, currently on sale for £13.50/$17.94) How darling is this little romper?! I love this. I’ve been dressing my daughter in a lot of sleeveless-but-with-pants outfits this summer because she’s crawling and her little legs get really cold on our hardwood but it’s Summer so sleeveless works. The color palette is pretty and I love the little tailoring details like the buttons down the back and the piping across the chest. And, of course, the little flutter sleeves.
1 of 3 2 of 3 3 of 3 Benenca Li’l Birdie’s Tea Party Printed Unisex Organic Baby Romper Playsuit – Retail Value $27.99 A tea party themed romper? Yes, please! These PJs are really cute and fit well with room to grow (currently we roll up the sleeves and legs for her). I like that this outfit is footless because Jaina is up and walking with assistance now and standing everywhere and oftentimes footed suits make her slip. My only complaint with this piece? There are just too many snaps. Why are there so many snaps? The inseam alone – the minimum I have to unsnap/resnap for diaper changes – has no less than 13. No way can I keep her still enough to do 13 snaps up before she gets frustrated and it turns into a tussle to get her fastened back up. I love this piece but I need more pajamas with zippers!
1 of 3 2 of 3 3 of 3 Modern Burlap Organic Long Sleeve Dress in Honey – Retail Value $28 Modern Burlap Organic Legging in Modern Mouse Print – Retail Value $22 What a perfect dress for her! It’s obviously comfy, organic cotton, and I love the simple and versatile design. The honey color is very on-trend and will be beautiful in the colder months. And, based on how it fits her right now at 10 months, she will definitely have plenty of time before she grows out of it so I’m sure this will be in heavy wardrobe rotation through Fall and Winter. These “Modern Mouse” print leggings couldn’t be cuter! I love the modern take on a Mickey Mouse print. The bold, black-and-white graphic print pairs really well with the simple dress, too. This outfit makes me smile. Verdict: I have come to adore my Surprisly subscription! Everything they send for my daughter is so cute and good quality, and I love feeling good about the sustainability aspect and fabric content. Over the past several months, I have also discovered a couple of brands through this subscription that I really love and have purchased more items from. The priority in this subscription is truly high quality, exclusively natural materials, and sustainability. So far, all the items we’ve received have held up well through wear and washing and I feel like the quality of the pieces stands up to what I expect for the price. Speaking of retail value, I calculated a total of $113.87, which I’m happy with from a $69 box! To Wrap Up: Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Each box is created specifically for your baby’s gender, age, and clothing size so there’s a wide variation between boxes. Value Breakdown: This baby subscription box costs $69 + free shipping. Oh, I love these reviews with your precious and beautiful little girl!! 🙂
I once had a son, born in the 80’s, and I recall paying these prices for his baby clothing. Those were the last clothing pieces I got to buy, but I still remember.
God bless your family, Haley Faye!!
Thank you so much, Amanda! That’s so sweet, you too!
I always look forward to reading this review. Such cute items.
I don’t have a kid nor plan on it. But if I did I wouldn’t waste money on a sub that much on a few random outfits.
I’d probably buy eBay lots or Goodwill or even Wal-Mart or Ross. I assume kids grow fast out of clothing anyhow.
I’m lower income myself but assume even upper middle class would have to save money for the kid’s college in the future and not throw it on over priced outfits that’s honestly more so a waste and just not smart.
Cute review though.
Terrific review, Haley Faye. Your daughter is adorable!
Thank you so much, Sharon!
I am sorry! yes these outfits are so cute and adorable but the prices are ridiculous!! I myself have bought outfits that are cute and adorable and great quality for my son but they are half and even a third of the price! I just can’t justify paying $69 a month for 3 outfits a month that babies will outgrow in a month or 2.
