Pura Vida Jewelry Club "Open Ocean Set" September 2020 Review

Pura Vida Jewelry Club recently changed up their packaging. This little foldout card shares their story and details how they give back by creating full-time jobs for artisans worldwide. Inside the pocket of the card was a smaller card welcoming us to the club along with a beautiful sticker.

Your jewelry comes in little dustbags each month which are perfect for storing your jewelry in. These are a bit different than the ones that come in their bracelet club pack. These are a little smoother and sleeker in my opinion.

Open Circle Ring

When I saw this in the spoilers I really liked it, but then I received it in the mail and I wasn't so sure how I felt, but after wearing it for a few days (and getting a compliment on it!) I can safely say, I really like it! It's big and different, but the thin structure of the oval keeps it from being too bold and that itty bitty opal stone adds a little bit of sparkle.

It's really comfortable and while it looks tight on my forefinger, that's where I've been wearing it comfortably and even though it is large, it has not gotten in the way once since the profile is so low. I'm really loving it!

Clip-On Chain Ear Cuff

I actually used to have my cartilage in my ear pierced but recently took it out, so it was nice to have a cuff to replace it with and this one is really cute with the stone that matches the ring and the small chain hanging down. It's cute, but also feels trendy. I was worried it would be too trendy for me or feel too young, but I think the dainty size makes it wearable for anyone.

Here it is on, it's so small that it was difficult to get a good picture. I had to tighten it what felt like quite a bit, but it has stayed on even through bathing and brushing out my hair.

Here you can see how well they pair together with their silver metal and matching opals.

The Verdict: I enjoyed this month's Pura Vida Jewelry Club designs more than I thought I would based on the spoilers! I was afraid the styles would come across as too trendy and young for me to get away with but the simplicity of the ring and dainty size of the cuff made them both really wearable. I really love the ring and don't see myself taking it off any time soon. It's just the right amount of a statement for me! I feel like this is one of those sets that people may feel divided on, so even though I'm satisfied, what did you think?

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You'll likely begin with the October collection. From Pura Vida:

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

They both look great on you, especially the ring! I have pretty short fingers, so I don’t think I could pull it off, but it is very pretty.

Thanks, Amy in KC! 🙂 I don’t think my fingers are especially long, so it might work for you, too!
