  1. I received a text for the first box and deliberated too long as it sold out quickly. Honestly, I’m glad I skipped the first one as it seemed to have been a big disappointment. The September box, imo, is definitely worth the $99 presale price.

Although I initially didn’t watch the live I viewed it after the fact and am glad I did. Most of the companies with items in the box were on live explaining wht the item was chosen and what makes it special. Some of those interviews changed my perception and I’m now looking forward to trying them, particularly the one for hooded eyelids, Babor Retinol Serum and Beauty Stat Universal C. All three were items I likely would not have tried.

I’m curious what we will receive in November.

  2. Has anyone from Canada gotten their boxes?
I’m curious if we get stuck with duty on delivery…

  3. When I click through, the price is not $99 as shown in the image but $125 … did I miss something?

    • Yes, I think they said the pre-sale price was only good for several hours. I tried clicking through my promotional email links to double-check, and it appears it went up. Bummer. I did buy mine earlier today for $99, but to tell you the truth, I am feeling buyer’s remorse now. I hope the prizes are worth it.

  4. Did the price go up? Or is there a promotional code? It’s now $125.

    • I think it said the $99 price was for 24hr only before it increases.

  5. I must have missed prior MSA post about September box. I wish they reviewed the box so we have an idea of what it looks like. Out of curiosity and breakdown, lol, I just purchased it…. No Grande products or eye lids products please!!! I am also hoping for some giftable products as it will be in time for the holidays.

  6. Heads Up! Please make sure you use the link. For a number of reasons, I had to reactivate my account and then put the PRE-SALE: VIP TICKET back into my cart…and it was @125, not $99. This will be my first one, so I really hope it is worth it. I don’t have a camera on my computer, do I need it to enter the live giveaways?

    • No, you don’t. (I think they pick the names from the box orders. It didn’t seem they fully expected people to be online.)

  7. Do the VIP Boxes contain leftovers/repeat items from previous Test Tubes?

    • Mine did!! I didn’t get the one I was promised. The one that I received was 50% repeats the other 50% is samples or deluxe sizes and you can buy them at the grocery store period not a good deal. Save your money. It also had water in it. Really?

      • I’m curious to know what you received. I don’t recall seeing these items in supermarkets. The GloSkin item is a new release so hasn’t been in a previous box. If you did get the wrong items, they should make it right.

      • I don’t know why you keep repeating false statement. What you say is not correct, the list of products is listed below by another member. Most are full size, only 3 are travel size. I don’t know which grocery store you shop but mines certainly don’t have those brands.

I do not work for Tetsttube but I just had to chime in to correct your wrong information. I am an annual subscriber and the only items I would deem as repeat are the Dr Dennis Gross peel pads, which I am happy to get more and the Grande lip plumper, not even sure it’s repeat as I can’t recall what we received in one of last year awards box.
The total value is over $600, several brands are premium. I’m not over the moon with the box but the value is there for those who want to try different brands than the ones offered by Ipsy/Boxy.

      • What did you get in your box? Did you get all the same products that someone listed below was in the box? I’m not sure either why you are saying stuff that doesn’t seem to be true… :-/

    • I don’t think anything was a repeat for me.

  8. Me too! Lots of full size products (like Sunday Riley Luna oil that paid for the rest of the box) I went ahead with the Nov box since I don’t plan on buying any of the pricey Advent calendars (the ones I would want are 3 times the price anyway with exchange, vat, and shipping)

  9. I won last night during the event and was not notified in advance. It was such a shock to hear my name called. I am excited because I don’t feel like I am a lucky person.

    • Congrats to you.
I’m wondering now if we have to watch to enter to win or by simply purchasing the box? There were so many prizes, I thought they were super generous!
I will try to watch again in November, but I usually get busy around 5 PM PT, I can’t sit still for +hour.

      • From what I understood, the only prize that required you to be present was the grand prize at the very end.

  10. How often do they have these VIP Boxes? Bimonthly?

Do they ship out quicker than they say? It says VIP Boxes will not ship until November 9th. But from reading reviews for the Sept. VIP box, it seemed like people got them quicker than what the stated date was.

    • Approx About monthly, I think the first was August, then Sept, the next will be Nov and they said that will be the last for 2020. They ship priority so they arrive quickly.

    • They ship them so they arrive about a day before the event so I wouldn’t expect it early.
Part of the reason is that they ask people not to open the box until the event on the 12th.
It seems to be kind of bimonthly. The first was July 29th then Sept. 9th and now Nov. 12th.

    • Hermione-they will not ship early at all. They ship overnight Before the event. I received mine September 8th just like they said I would.

    • Just to give another perspective, my box didn’t arrive until September 9. If it hadn’t made it in time for the show I would not have been happy. It was bad enough that it was damaged when it got here.

      • This was my first box so I don’t know what is normal or not, but I know it was sent Fedex overnight and maybe they sent it last minute so it’s not sitting around for weeks with you tempted to open it? I opened mine right away of course, but I know they try to get people to wait until the live event…

  11. I’m really mixed on this! I know it will sell out and I don’t doubt it’s worth the value, but I really don’t need more mystery products in my life right now. I’m trying to avoid fomo and a larger credit card bill. I’m also not a giveaway person, which seems like a good part of the pitch based on the ads.

    • Same here! Fighting the temptation. I keep telling myself that I should wait for one of the Advent calendars to go on sale (one that has announced its contents already). Waiting is hard!

  12. Would any of you that got this last box mind sharing what was in it? I would love some examples of the brands and types of products, also how many were in the last box. Thank you! 😀

    • Please look below, products have been listed by Lee. 🙂

  13. Thank you all!
I used to be really involved with this site and everyone was always so supportive. I have been kind of dragging lately and thought – let me get back to My Subscription Addiction and see what my girls are getting in to. Lol

As Mothers and daughters, caregivers we neglect ourselves. I haven’t had a professional haircut in over five years…
We keep the home fires burning. We do and give and give some more.. We have to remember to take care of ourselves.
This is my commitment to myself to do better. Because, I am important!

  14. What happens during these virtual events?

    • They have reps from the different companies discuss the products in the box. I did it last night. It was interesting, but kinda strange. They also gave away tons of prizes, many of which were valued at over $200. I thought the box was worth it and have already pre-ordered this one. I read somewhere that the box that we received this week (for last night’s event) was worth about $700.

    • I had purchased the September VIP box and thought it was worth it. I also did the Zoom event last night and was a winner of one of the giveaways.

      • I have participated in two of the last Zoom events, they are fun, alittle silly but fun. There are a lot of giveaways!! I won last night too, the Marmonde gift set!!

        Wendy, what did you win??

      • Ohh Wow! This is so awesome. Congratulations Ladies. I watched yesterday for the first time and was wondering if there were any winner from MSA. Glad to hear you both won.
It seemed like they picked the winners in advance though, and not necessary the ones who watched?

      • to GM forever (there was no reply button below your name):

I was also a winner last night (the candle kit) and I definitely did not know in advance. I think the people who appeared on camera knew in advance because they would have had to have given their permission to appear.

      • Do you have to be at the whole virtual event to win? What if you miss your name or had to step away? Do they still contact you about your prize or how does that part work? Thanks for any info

      • I wasn’t paying attention at the time when they called my name, so I’m not even sure what I won. 🤪 It was a fun, so I went ahead and purchased the November box.

      • Thanks Piper the info.
It looks like a lot of Ladies from MSA have won, that is so good to hear that there are real winners. 🙂

      • I don’t believe you needed to be there to win. They sent an email and i had to send my mailing info and that was it 🙂

      • Congrats on winning, Wendy! I just purchased my ticket. I wonder how to login to this event in Nov. Do they provide you with a Zoom link, email you an invitation? Did you have to install Zoom? Do you have to be visible?

      • Svitlana – You will get an email or two with the links needed to attend. I received about four emails including one sent an hour before the event. They don’t want you to miss it 🙂

  15. Lee, what was on the September box?

    • Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping night Oil – .5 fl oz
Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Daily Peel – 5 pads
Dr Dennis Gross Acne gel – sample size
Philip B Detangling Toning Mist 4.23 oz
Sara Happ Lip Scrub – full size
Dr Babor Power serum – 7 ampoules
Dr Denese (eco vir) Hand sanitizer w/ pump 16 oz
Grande lips Hydrating Lip Plumper in clear
GloSkin Beauty Bio-Renew EGF drops 1oz
      Dr Brandt microdermabrasion 2 oz
      Its a 10 hair mask 8 oz
Eminence Stone Crop Countouring Body cream 5 oz
BeautyStat Universal C skin refiner 1 oz
Dr Perricone Hydrogen water – One 8.3 oz can
      Juice Beauty lipstick in Sonoma
Contours Rx eyelid strips mini kit
      Marvis Toothpaste – travel size

      Almost everything was full size.

      • Just a sidenote on my box: the Philip B. Mist had completely leaked out onto everything else in the box. Most of the products were ruined as I had planned to give many for gifts. I wrote New Beauty and provided pictures and they are checking with their fulfillment center to see if they can provide replacements. If people are interested I will update as to how NB’s customer service handles this.

      • Hi Piper, the Philip B. mist leaked in my box too, but not as bad as yours. I think about 2/3 leaked out, and even though it was on top of everything else, the liquid surprisingly didn’t damage any of the packaging of the other products (one may have felt a tad soft from the liquid, but not damaged), but the bottom of the box got the brunt of it, and it looked pretty gnarly. I also emailed New Beauty about it and only sent pictures of the box (both inside & out) as I figured that should be evidence enough there was a leak, but so far I haven’t heard back from them (I emailed them on Tuesday). I asked them for either a replacement product or a partial refund. I’ll give them one week, then follow up. But if you could please update us on what they say, that’d be great! I’ll share what they tell me… if they get back to me.

      • Piper, same. It was completely empty with the lid detached. Several products had severely damaged boxes. I am really irritated with their packing job. I sent pics but i don’t even know if they’ll be able to replace.

      • I am sad to say that I had the same experience with the Philip B product. I was wondering why the packaging on some of the products was damaged and there was a sticky-ish film on some others. There were two separate and individual “pumps” that were just laying in the box. I quickly figured out that one of them was for the hand sanitizer. Unfortunately, the other one turned out to be for the Philip B. The bottle was empty. It doesn’t look like the products themselves are damaged, they just need a good wipedown. Although I will be contacting New Beauty about a replacement for the empty product. Happy about the selection, though.

    • Piper-the same thing happened to me. My entire bottle of Philip B mist emptied into my entire box and ruined the box and a couple of other boxes. I sent pictures the same day and received an immediate response with the same line about the fulfillment center which I thought was really odd. I told them that even though some other boxes were ruined the only thing I was asking for a replacement of was the hair mist. I was very turned off by the response I received. I wrote back and told them (in a very nice way, I was not ugly about it) that if they couldn’t replace the mist I was sure they would find some other way to compensate me. I haven’t heard back. I’m not going to purchase the next box based on this interaction.

      • Anyone get an update on a Philip b replacement? I emailed a 2nd time with no response.

  16. Hi All! I’ve been gone for a while. I lost both of my parents within months of each other. It has been a trying time.

But, I’m back and in need of a little pick me up!

I snagged one of these first thing this morning.

    • I’m so sorry for the loss of your parents.

    • I’m sorry for your loss Margie.

    • I am so sorry for your loss Margie.

    • Oh dear one! You have my complete condolences on the loss of BOTH parents… geeshh… Enjoy the box. I’m debating because I wait-listed for another one. Not that I might not end up with both.. lol

    • I’m so sorry for your loss, I lost my father recently and it’s been devastating I can’t imagine what you’re going through. You’re in my thoughts.

    • I’m truly sorry for your loss. This is not easy and I send you all my best wishes.

    • My sincere condolences. Very sorry for your loss.

  17. I ordered one. The September VIP box was great. It was worth the $99.
So far it has been mostly skin care so if that not your thing, you may not be happy. That being said, they could have more makeup in future boxes.
