LiveGlam Brush Club September 2020 Review

It looks like we have 5 different brushes to play with this month and they are all eye brushes!

M166 Oval Shadow Brush (Synthetic) - Retail Value $6.00

I don't normally reach for super firm and flat brushes because I feel like they just increase the amount of fallout from the majority of the shadows I use. I prefer a fluffier dome. This brush is really nice for patting on shadow and getting into the corner of my eye with ease though! It also grabs up a lot of shadow at once which allows you to kind of pat it into place.

M441 Pro Firm Blending Crease Brush (Natural) - Retail Value $8.00

This is much more along the lines of my typical favorite shadow brushes. I swear I could apply a whole look with an assortment of blenders. This one is nice and fluffy, indeed! It was great for softening out the lines left behind from the firmer oval brush and diffusing the pigments softly over my lid. Shadow isn't what I would really consider my strength when it comes to makeup, and these sort of fluffy brushes make it a lot easier!

E18 Round Crease Brush (Synthetic) - Retail Value $8.00

This little round brush was great for adding a sequin shadow into my crease. I haven't really been wearing makeup recently, so playing with a metallic and holiday-vibe shadow was pretty fun. The small tip allows for detail work, too.

M432 Flat Liner Definer Brush (Synthetic) - Retail Value $6.00

Admittedly, this flat brush would probably serve someone with more groomed brows a little better than myself, but I still found it a nice brush to add shadow right under my brow. I feel like this would also work really well wet for carving out that area with super clean lines.

M431 Precision Pencil Crease Brush (Natural) - Retail Value $7.00

Our last brush is another smaller round that would also be great for crease work or for under the brow, but I loved it for adding shadow under my lower lash line. It was firm enough to put the shadow exactly where I wanted it but also soft enough to make it a softer sort of line.

Verdict: This month's Brush Club was all about shadow brushes, which I really enjoy. I am becoming the sort of person who likes having loads of shadow brushes because I can use one per color and avoid a muddy mix of shades. All of these were well made and totally easy to use. This is a great assortment for someone needing more eye brushes or for someone who just likes having an excessive amount on hand (guilty!!).

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.
