Gwynnie Bee is a clothing rental subscription service that formerly catered to plus sizes, but now is far more inclusive in offering sizes 0-32! Gwynnie Bee allows you to select items you like and they are put in a virtual closet. The chosen items are sent to you are at random, but you can select priority pieces to be sent to you first. Since I started using the service, I can say I always have a lot of fun with this box!

Gwynnie Bee also has a marketplace on their site where you can buy strongly discounted used rental pieces and brand new accessories, underwear, and workout gear as well!

Gwynnie Bee August 2020 Review

This review is for each of the three-at-a-time items I received August 1st 2020:

Twist Front Sheath Dress by Eloquii, Size 20W — Retail Value $30

Eloquii is by far one of my favorite plus size brands out there, so I was excited to get a piece by them in this month's Gwynnie Bee.  The ponte fabric gives it loads of stretch, yet some structure due to the thickness of the material. This dress looks more like a wiggle dress than a sheath style on me, but that's fine by me! The green jewel tone is perfect for the soon approaching cooler months as well. I can envision this being an ideal date dress. I paired this piece with my favorite bad Sandy wooden open toe heels, but imagine how chic this would be styled with some black patent leather heels or flats, horn-rimmed glasses, and a black blazer.  What a look!

Fair Isle Sweater Dress by ModCloth, Size 2x — Retail Value $19

Fall is fast approaching and isn't this the perfect dress for the season? Cozy and cute-- this piece feels like a pumpkin chai latte in dress form! It is still warm out where I am, but I can envision this adorable piece worn with black tights, tan ankle booties, and a denim jacket with Sherpa trim on the collar. You will be the hit at the pumpkin patch-- just keep your distance and wear a blue and tan plaid face mask for the ultimate in pattern clashing and fashionable safety precautions!

Rose Floral Orna Wrap Dress by B Collection by Bobeau, Size 2x — Retail Value $27

This wrap dress is so beautiful, but sadly the size 2x didn't fit me. What a bummer since the floral pattern is stunning and this piece truly harkens something Stevie Nicks would have worn back in the 70s with one of her famous crocheted shawls. The fabric on this piece has absolutely no stretch, so there was no way around trying to get this number on. The wonderful thing about Gwynnie Bee, though, is that upon providing feedback about the sizing on this piece they offered to send me the 3x. I opted against it, but wish I had them send the 3x so I could have given you guys an idea of the fit on that piece! I do appreciate their stellar customer service regardless!

Verdict: Gwynnie Bee, is the first subscription box I reviewed for MSA and remains one of my favorites. I absolutely love the ability to rent clothing! Sometimes you like a piece, but you don't want to commit to buying it- this is where Gwynnie Bee comes in! The service allows you to try trends you might have been leery to in the past as well! The neatest thing though is their perks and rewards program. I have managed to purchase a variety of dresses at low prices due to the rewards and promos they offer!

Even though my area has been in the green for some time, I still avoid going to malls. I order essentially everything through delivery or online. Trust me, this is with difficulty-- I have always loved the pursuit of hunting for my dream dress or top! I get amped when I see a sales rack to delve into! During this pandemic, Gwynnie Bee has been somewhat of a comfort. I am able to have a bit of my missed shopping experience delivered safely and right to my door. For that, I am very thankful to get my shopping fix through Gwynnie Bee!

The August selections were fun, but I am rather eager to see what I get in my September Gwynnie Bee, aren't you?

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! All three pieces are available to rent or purchase.

Value Breakdown: Gwynnie Bee’s costs range depending on your subscription and how many items you are sent at a time. I have the $95 three-item-at-a-time plan. This includes free shipping and returns. I can get as many pieces as I like monthly, as long as I return each item first. I got three items this month. The three items total up to $76, which is $19 less than my monthly subscription fee! However, take into account that these three dresses were extremely discounted and I would not have access to such a deal if I wasn't subscribed to Gwynnie Bee. Imagine the value had I sent these pieces back sooner and received additional three items-- or even more!

Thanks, tammy g! Those fair isle styles are so timeless– I love them! I had a winter coat with a fair isle sweater design on it back in the 80s too. Gotta love it!

I always look forward to your reviews. Your sense of style is only matched by your sense of humor and witty banter. So much fun. It is also great that you give ideas to style a piece for casual or to dress it up a bit and some changes for the seasons. I am sure that Gwynnie Bee is happy to have you as their reviewer as are your loyal MSA followers. Thank you!
