Goddess Provisions "Divination" August 2020 Review

The box comes with a short but informative booklet that outlines all of the items inside and discloses the theme!

Goddess Provisions Divination Teacup and Saucer - Listed Value $33.00

Ok, this might be my favorite item ever from this subscription! As an avid tea drinker (but not so gifted tea leaves reader) this black and white saucer and cup duo is just beyondddd! I have peeked at my tea leaves before, but they always just look like flocks of birds to me. This porcelain cup has a circlet of moon cycles to help guide my divination, but I think I will likely just enjoy this more for the coziness and aesthetic factor.

Gemstone Organics Seraph Elixer - Retail Value $22.00

Fragrance is another one of my great loves, right up there with tea. This little frosted amber bottle houses a very strong and beautifully scented perfume with notes of rose, wood, ginger, and resin. It is sexy, warm, and complicated, as many good things are. It lasts a nice long time on my skin and works for special spiritual moments as well as a daily perfume.

Goddess Provisions Rune Stones and Guidebook - Listed Values $22.00 (stones) and $6.00 (book)

I don't know a lot about runes, but I have always found them interesting. I kind of feel similar to these rune stones as I do my tarot deck. I don't profess any special ability or intuition when it comes to reading them. But they do often serve as great launching points for mentally working through problems or feelings. For example, the last time I pulled from my tarot deck I was having a hard time working through some difficult emotions. Instead of using the card as some sort of fortune-telling indicator, it served as an internal talking point. I feel like these stones can be used in a similar fashion. For someone like myself who doesn't consider herself to be at all "deep" or even introspective, prompts like this really help me. This is a set of 24 wooden runes with an included blank one. A book with rune info also arrived to help make sense of all of these marks!

Positively Mystic Pendulum Board - Listed Value $22.00

This maple pendulum board is covered with a burnt design of moon phases and botanicals. It is legitimately very pretty! I don't usually reach for things like this because it feels a lot like flipping a coin, but I know YES or NO boards have been around a long time and many folks enjoy using them with pendulums for clarity.

Goddess Provisions Clear Quartz Pendulum - Listed Value $22.00

This is the only item this month that didn't impress me in terms of quality. Mine felt a little flimsy, and the metal wasn't well-formed around the larger point. Regardless, this pendulum is a great complement to the board that also came this month. I am a sucker for a pretty piece of quartz and both built into this pendulum are lovely and cloudy in the best way and filled with interesting little freckles and inclusions.

Introduction to Magik

Again, this was a bonus I had to enter my email address to access. Not a fan of that. But the PDF itself was really well written and had some super cute and modern line illustrations that I loved even more than the info inside. It covered the basics of 7 great ways to spur your own magical thinking.

The Verdict: This month's Goddess Provisions was all about divination! I personally believe such things are best left to folks who are probably more in tune with such things than I am, but I still found myself loving this assortment. The teacup and rune stones are my faves, but I also really loved the perfume. This also felt like such a nice fall sort of box, maybe because it felt a little witchy and harkened to Halloween, which is fast approaching! All in all, this month was loads of fun.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I ordered one box. Most of the stuff was crap. Only one item worth the price. I did not subscribe but they charged me twice. I disputed and they said too bad. Awful experience. Never agai.

Everything was beautiful, and I loved it all. It was a delight to open. I even bought a second teacup in the shop.

I bought the teacup separately when I saw they were offering it in their shop, because it is just so beautiful! Disclaimer: I’m not a believer in any of the “magic” stuff, including reading tea leaves, but it sounds like a fun activity akin to reading my horoscope. That being said, I always love reading the reviews for Goddess Provisions, and I even subbed for a couple months earlier this year. They have some really beautiful items and I’m a sucker for pretty crystals and stones! #geologynerd

I so agree about the runes (and the pendulum! Mind also has not the best construction on the metal but it’s been so helpful for clarifying my feelings when everything seems so uncertain and hard to gauge.)
I will have to start actually downloading the digital extras, because that looks like a neat one 🙂
I thought a divination box would be a miss for me, but I’ve been using everything regularly! (I have an air plant in the tea cup)
