Brown Girl Jane Glow Luminous Facial Serum

This lightweight, hydrating, and high-potency daily face oil is powered by 750mg of Broad Spectrum CBD + Cannabis Sativa Oil. With its anti-inflammatory properties and more antioxidants than both Vitamin C and D, the GLOW oil achieves dewy, soft skin without any lingering greasy look or feel. GLOW is non-comedogenic, which means it won't clog pores and will balance stressed, dry skin.

I received a completely different selection than what is shown here. I was getting excited for the spoiler.
I am not sure why. This is my second month, and the first month was the same.
I am not liking this box.

Does anybody know if the GLOW serum is fine to use on light skin tones? I’m so tempted by it!

lo

I believe it is just cbd oil. Should be good for any skin tone. It’s also food grade so you can use it as a tincture.

No problem! I was torn too but I ended up going for the serum since I already have enough face/eye moisturizers and the value at $68 is awesome (I already use CBD oil frequently and it can be so expensive!). Anything with marula oil is tempting though, and I want to try that Saint Jane serum…

Thank you! Gosh, I’m really torn between the serum and the Clean Routine box…

I really don’t think I’ll pick anything – sometimes rolling the dice has worked out for me. None of the curated boxes made sense for me and I have a ton of face oil, including a CBD, so I just don’t need the oil…. still thinking about it though. One time I made no choice at all and ended up with a fabulous box so I think I’ll go that route this time

Box 1 is tempting but then I read the description for the Pattern Leave-In Conditioner and it is for curly hair so I may go for the serum.

Wow, awesome choices BB! 🤗 That clean box is screaming my name, but that oil price is making it so difficultly tempting…😩

Hello
If anyone is an ace can you see the shade color or name for the brown girl boxes?

I’m an ACE and just went in to make my selection. The first two boxes showed the same generic pic with no details on specific shade, just says it will work with “a variety of skin tones.” 🤷‍♀️Unless I’m looking in the wrong spot…..

I wish that they had given a shade color.
I went to the Black Opal website to see if I could determine what I was according to their shade finder and was still confused. If you fall into the medium skin tone, category, you could possibly err on the side of the shade being too light or too dark for your skin tone. I know that it is impossible to customize boxes like this for everybody but giving a shade would help people determine if they could make that shade work for them.

Thank you so much for checking!!!
I really want to try one of the brown girl boxes just unsure since wanted to look up the shades to make sure they would work :/

I was torn between Box 1 and the clean box. Since I am up to my chin in facial moisturizer, I decided to go with Box 1 (light to medium skin). I am interested in trying the black-owned brands. I also think it’s hilarious the have period pads in the box, but I’ll use them!

I was also interested in the Kiehl’s eye cream, but I didn’t want to risk getting the Chella eyeshadow in my box. I already got it from Ipsy, and while it’s good, I don’t need another one!

I chose the full sized swap for the serum. It’s worth $68! I’m excited for this one!

This is the first birchbox I’ve seen in a long time that I’ve really liked! It’s just a lot of things and brands I havent seen from them before

I love Birchbox selections!

I have to admit I am not excited about October box choices. I have very fair skin so the brown girl choices won’t work and I have lots of skin care. Wanted makeup instead. Hoping November is better.
