Wicked Good Perfume “Spa Day” Review August 2020

A few things to note about these fragrances:

  • They are formulated without phthalates, parabens, or petroleum
  • These are vegan and cruelty-free and they use sustainable ingredients that are responsibly sourced
  • I am not a huge perfume lover because they usually give me headaches, but these unique, handcrafted fragrances do not!

This month’s theme is “Spa Day” which is something I could definitely use! On one side, this card lists the products, the scents they contain, and their retail value, while the back has some information about their box review contest and some savings for scent club members.

Revive Shower Steam Spray

Our first item is something new to me: you can spray this little bottle while in the shower to get a nice aromatherapy vibe from the steam. At least, I assume that’s how to use it! It worked well to fill my shower with the refreshing scent of peppermint with a nice herbal finish from the rosemary and fresh garden herbs. This was a great start to a spa experience.

Peace of Mind Aromatherapy Balm

My sinuses are what bother me the most when my allergies act up. Usually, I apply some basil essential oils to the bridge of my nose and my sinuses and that helps a lot, so I was very excited to see this little balm which has not only basil, but also peppermint and eucalyptus. It’s the perfect blend to help clear my sinuses and I love that I can keep this little tin in my purse so I can apply it as needed. There is also lemon and lime in this blend, although those were much more subtle in comparison to the other stronger scents.

Relax Perfume Oil Roller, 10 mL – Listed Value $18.00

Our perfume roller this month is a blend of French lavender, violet, and moss. It kind of reminds me of the way it smells outside after it rains, but with all of these beautiful, heady floral notes. While lavender usually stands out a lot to me, this time it blended so nicely with the other two scents that I couldn’t really pick it out on its own. I think Relax is the perfect name for this roller!

Refresh Perfume Spray, 1 oz. – Listed Value $29.00

This month’s perfume spray is a blend of lime zest, verbena leaf, mandarin, clementine flower, white lilac, and orriswood. The citrus notes of the lime zest and sweet tang of the mandarin are what I noticed first, but then the lilac comes through and the orriswood (this is described as a woody, powdery scent from what I can find, which is what I noted) along with some grassy notes from the verbena leaf. It’s a refreshing, summery scent that layered well with the perfume roller for an even more complex scent.

Verdict: I really enjoyed the great mix of scents in this month’s Wicked Good Perfume delivery! The shower steam spray made for a very invigorating spa-like shower experience and the two perfumes provided a way to relax or revive yourself afterward depending on your mood. While I loved everything, my favorite has been the little aromatherapy balm because it has been helping my sinuses so much and allowed me to breathe a little easier. Overall, this was another fantastic box!
