SprezzaBox “The Grand” August 2020 Review

Each month SprezzaBox allows subscribers to choose their box from several different options. You will receive an email prompting you to select your box and then you’ll be taken to a page with photos and information about each of the boxes. This is a great way to ensure you get exactly what you want or need and if you forget to pick your box, don’t worry because they will simply have a stylist choose one for you! Since some collections are made of previous inventory, you will occasionally have a few products overlap, but usually this is a sample item.

The Knottery Navy and Green Bold Stripe Tie – Retail Value $25.00

The colors in this tie are great and while my husband liked the linen fabric of this one, I wasn’t a fan of the way it looked almost like it was pilling. I know that it’s just the style, but I think it makes this tie feel more casual than others he has received. It’s still a great style and it’s definitely different than anything in his collection at the moment.

Here it is on. It comes across very dark in the pictures and while it is dark, the colors are more discernible in person.

Twillory Navy and Gray Birdseye Socks – Retail Value $10.00

These socks are nice and a little on the thinner side made from 65% Combed Cotton, 27% Polyester, 4% Nylon, 3% Rubber, 1% Spandex. My husband liked the mix of solid and patterned sections.

Here they are on.

Weekend Casual Classic Rustic Gold Tie Clip – Retail Value $20.00

My husband and I both really loved the look of this tie clip. It’s such a great look and since the majority of his tie clips are silver, he was happy to have another metal to mix things up. It seems like it’s a nice quality, too, with that rustic look even carried into the grooves of the clip on the back.

Sprezzabox Metal Shoe Horn – Retail Value $8.00

This is one item that my husband does not own and I’m sure it will be helpful at some point! This is made from black metal and it is pretty sturdy so it should do the trick for a stubborn pair of shoes.

Sprezza Aviator Sunglasses – Retail Value $30.00

This pair of sunglasses is actually a repeat item from the other Grand box that my husband received in November 2019. With the pick your own box option they have started to make new collections with some previous inventory so sometimes there are overlaps, but usually this only happens with a few items. These are nice sunglasses with plastic noseguards and plastic over the tips of the metal arms for comfort. The lenses are green and while they are nice, I’m not sure how I feel about the $30 price tag on these.

I think my husband was feeling pretty classy in them.

Brickell Daily Essential Face Moisturizer, 15 mL – Buy a full-size 4 oz. bottle for $35.00

This is actually the third sample of this moisturizer that we’ve received – another one of those overlap items, however, this one is more like a bonus item, so we don’t mind. This is what I have previously said about this lotion which hasn’t changed:

The consistency is a cross between a serum and a lotion and it is meant to moisturize without clogging pores. It contains aloe leaf juice, rooibos extract, jojoba seed oil and DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol) which has an anti-inflammatory effect on skin and can increase its firmness. It has a slight menthol scent and also smells a bit earthy, most likely from the various tea extracts it contains.

Verdict: I think that my husband’s favorite item in this month’s SprezzaBox was that rustic gold tie clip. It’s unique and adds some variety to his tie clip collection. The tie and socks are both nice, too, and we don’t have any shoe horns so it may come in handy. While the sunglasses and moisturizer sample are repeats, we don’t mind since there are six items in this $30.00 ($28.00 + $2.00 shipping) box giving them each an average cost of $5.00. The total retail value is $93 not including the moisturizer sample which isn’t bad!

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No, you would likely receive the September box, although it’s possible that this could be a future Pick Your Own Box option!

COUPON: Use code MSA10OFF to save $10 on your first box!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $30.00 ($28.00 +$2.00 shipping) so here is what you are paying approximately for each item (not counting the moisturizer sample):

  • Tie: $8.06
  • Socks: $3.23
  • Tie Clip: $6.45
  • Shoe Horn: $2.58
  • Sunglasses: $9.68

Alternatively, each of the 6 items in the box has an average cost of $5.00.

Catherine

These products are mediocre and they make it difficult to cancel and auto sign you up for extra boxes. Very disappointed

Kristin

Would love a picture of tie clip in use!

Hi Kristin, while I don’t have a photo of the tie clip with my husband wearing it, if you swipe to the last photo with the tie clip photos, you can at least see it on the tie! I just updated it – I had the photo, but must have forgotten to include it! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Hope that helps give you a better idea! 🙂
