Pusheen Box Summer 2020 Review

Each box includes a simple info card that has a cute Pusheen print on the front (this month is camp-themed) that coincides with the theme and a run-down of all of the items on the back.

Pusheen Campfire Vinyl Figure

This figure is way too cute. Pusheen sits next to a campfire with her little sister and best friend Stormy and they are both roasting marshmallows. Pusheen is a girl after my own heart: She likes her burnt to a crisp!

Camp Pusheen Shirt

As a kid who went to summer camp every summer, I am living for this camp theme. I wish Camp Pusheen was a real place! I would be there lickety-split. This green top features a Camp Pusheen logo with our fave kitten, trees, waves, and the sun. I love that her bandana is a butter yellow that complements the green and blue accents of this tee perfectly!

Thermos with Spoon

This is easily my favorite item in the box this month. I am a sucker for a vintage-style metal thermos and this one reminds me very much of the My Little Pony one I had as a kid, but with Pusheen and the addition of a collapsible spoon. This is pretty great for keeping stuff cold right now (I made overnight oats in it last week!) but I think I will always be attached to it come fall and winter, when I plan on filling it with teas or soups!

Reusable Straw with Case

I have plenty of reusable straws at this point, but this is the first one that is actually easy to take on the go. The whole thing folds up into the world's most adorable Pusheen carrying case and it also comes with a cleaning plunger so you can keep it free of gunk and always at the ready for your next iced latte!

Camp Pusheen Pennant

I have a few vintage pennants like this one that I have collected over the years from thrift stores and vintage shops. This little Pusheen one will go on the wall with them, if only to make me giggle whenever I see it mixed with the old college and sports team ones.

Pusheen with Marshmallow Plush

One of my friends has a little daughter who is just cat crazy. She is also a big Pusheen fan! I think I will pass along this little plush to her. I know she will find it just as charming as I do. How cute is Pusheen in her little bandana and holding a big marshmallow?

Camp Pusheen Patch Set

I am so impressed with how hard this season's box has leaned into this Camp Pusheen theme. It's really SO well done and these patches make me love it even more. This set of two embroidered patches is going to really adorable sewn onto my fishing backpack. I think they would also be precious on a denim jacket or favorite cozy sweater.

Picnic Blanket

Our last item is a totally packable picnic blanket. I spend a lot of time outside in the summer and fall. Will and I are always out fishing or picnicking in the grass. I also have found myself painting in my backyard often this season. This blanket is big enough for me and Will sitting, or a bunch of art supplies!

Verdict: This was my first Pusheen Box and I am delighted. Everything in here was beyond cute and most of the items were surprisingly well made and totally functional. My faves are the thermos and my new picnic blanket, though picking favorites is hard to do in such a well rounded and adorable assortment. This is the sort of box that would be beloved by both adults and kids and if you are looking for your next cute mail delivery, this is it.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I love this box so much! The shirt was waaay to big for me so I passed it along to my husband and ordered the correct size for myself on Mercari.

Hi Megan,

I loved your Pusheen box review, thank you. But it was tinged with a little sadness because I miss Marne’s reviews. Could you please say hello to her next time you see her during your course?

The Pusheen box was pretty much my first memorable introduction to MSA. I wondered what the lady was doing in the cat t-shirt, but by the end of Marne’s review, I was hooked. I subscribed. I bought Pusheen things online. Plushies, cups, lunch boxes, all for my 7 year old daughter of course! And then for the next year, every one of her friends turning 8 received a Pusheen pack. Then Pusheen took off like wildfire in our little country town. Then the kids realised that the cat whose house was near the school crossing looks just like Pusheen. So of course, she was renamed. To this day, kids sporting Pusheen key rings attached to their school bags pat ‘Pusheen’, who happily waits for passing pats while sitting by the school crossing.

And that’s all thanks to Pusheen box, and Marne’s reviews. Marne is the most unintentionally influential non-influencer ever, I think. Cheers to her! And Pusheen forever x

Hi Mimosa! Sorry for the late reply. I have been traveling! I share your Marne love! She was totally an unintentionally influential non-influencer. I will 100% pass along your greetings and love to her. We are prepping for boards right now which is pretty exciting! ♥️

I love this box, already worn and washed my tee, so soft. The thermos gave me childhood flashbacks and will be using it for soup, already put my straw in my lunch bag.

My daughter keeps the vinyl and plushies

I am thinking of placing the blanket up for swap, what approximate value should I list it at?

Thank you in advance for suggestions

It would be up to you because items from this box are hot and people are willing to trade anything for it. I would be very picky 🙂

I love the fit of the t-shirt – even my husband commented on how cute it was! This was a much better box for me than the last.

As for swapping, I try to list my expected RV to give others an idea. But people value them all over the map. I recently requested a Pusheen item swap and they came back with an item of $60, so everyone has their own valuation I guess.

Not a word about the fit of the T-shirt, so I’m guessing it didn’t, eh, Megan? 🙂 I remember how you pointedly did NOT give your opinion on the ipsy “Betty Boop” bag design.

I ordered a 2X and it fits perfectly. I think the shirt is my favorite item, although they are all great this month. Very happy!

I asked for an XL and – unlike other subscription boxes – the XL is REALLY an XL! It fits well and is well made. I’m very happy with the size, fit and style of this tee.

Megan K.

Hey Dea, this used to be a Marne box and the shirt that arrived was a medium. I am not a medium. 😉 We have the correct size for next time.

Pink5

I put myself down for XL in T-shirt sizes because I like loose fitting shirts, but PUsheen’s sizing is beyond generous. The shirt is long enough that I can use it to sleep in or wander around the house without having to worry about anything showing.

The thermos is great quality, feels very solid.

The blanket was much bigger than I thought it would be and having the carrying harness makes it easy to move around.

I am happy with this box.

I noticed that to with the medium shirt. It was larger then most mediums.

I love Pusheen but sadly decided to cancel after 3 years. I had so much stuff that I didn’t need. I used to display them in my office at work. But now, working from home, there is not room. I’m going to try to sell the whole lot. I have about 50 items. Vinyl figures and stuffed Pusheens.

This box was adorable as usual, but I thought the spring box was more practical … at least for me, probably because I’m wearing the robe every day! Thanks for the idea of making overnight oats in the thermos. I have so many drink containers and usually come home for lunch instead of eating at the office, so I was “worried” about getting use out of it, although I was hesitant to pass it to my sister because it’s so. darn. cute!! I need to get back into making healthy on-the-go breakfasts, so you and Pusheen have motivated me to start making overnight oats now. Thanks!!

I ended up listing most my items up for swap. Nice box. Yet I m not fond of the idea of camping

Curious…when placing items up for swap. How do you value exclusive pusheen items?

I ve gotten several swap requests and have been more selective. I cant see swapping an exclusive pusheen blanket for $35 beauty item no matter how much I might want it.

The figure is another example on not being sure on what to place as the swap rv

I was going to swap the t shirt yet decided to keep it. Very soft

You should rethink camping! We glamp in a $75K tiny home, cantilevered deck, custom shed, attached three season porch. No suffering there! 🙂

for eBay might need to include words like “Subscription” “box” “VIP” or “exclusive” or “Summer” “Fall” to narrow down items

Michelle

check out eBay to get a sense of items. Think people tend to not do beauty (unless it’s coveted) but might give you a sense of value.
