I was spending a not insignificant amount of money on globein but their lack of customer service has made me stop for now. I wanted to like them but cant support something with so little care for customers when I know how hard other companies work to make sure people are looked after

It’s unfortunate hearing other negative comment’s about this sub’s customer service, but I’ve also had an unpleasant, and ONGOING experience as well with Fiona, the only person I’ve corresponded with. I ordered a three month sub early this year. I believe it was for February, March, and April. I chose my last box, “Gala” for April, which was apparently in stock when I chose it. I waited and waited and it never came. After several email’s with no response, I finally heard from Fiona. I was offered dollars to use in their online shop to make up for the “missing” box. While I’m glad she offered something, it irk’s me that I have twice, requested to be sent a different box that came out in the following month’s after. And this was before subscription choice had opened. She refused stating she couldn’t reserve a box for me. Well, didn’t I pay for three boxes just like everyone else???? Why can I not just receive an alternate box? And like many have stated below, most of the item’s in the shop are WAY overpriced, so I could maybe pick out one or two max item’s to make up for the missing box. Take your money elsewhere. There are other sub boxes out there who do good for our communities. I.e. Earthlove and Spiritú which I unfortunately heard was no longer (sad face), but they have always had awesome thing’s for sale separately on their site. These companies also go above far and beyond to make their customer’s happy.

Hi Ashley,

Thank you for this honest feedback and we want you to know that we are listening!

We have recently hired additional Customer Support Representatives and are actively hiring more to assist with our response time and delays. Also, we are happy to announce that we are in the process of switching fulfillment centers! As GlobeIn continues to grow, we needed to find a new facility that can handle the additional monthly shipments in a more efficient manner with less damages. This move will tremendously improve shipping issues in the coming months! We expect to have your boxes out on time, prevent damages, and not have any missing items.

We hope this helps explain how GlobeIn is working to improve as a company. If you have any additional questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].

Thank you,
The GlobeIn Team

Customer service is terrible! Takes over a week to get a response, if they respond at all. Shipping is also beyond slow. I haven’t received my July box!! As much as I like their products, I would never recommend this sub. You can buy lots of the same items from other online retailers and they ship in a timely manner. The mission is great, but this company is just horrible!!

I just started with Globin but I gotta say I’m seriously unimpressed with their customer service, one email thats backed up for weeks… I added a coupon code and the site didn’t activate it asked for help and didn’t get it until I sent several emails a comment and a message and their message was super rude “dont send us multiple messages.” well maybe you need to hire a few more people to answer emails…

I really hope the items make up for this crappy experiance

Am I the only one who thought the felt trivet was an ombre cheeseball recipe for the baking dish? Just me? Lol

Reply ButtonReply

Kelly

I thought it was some weird cheese meatball dish too. Probably doesn’t help that we only see a picture for half a second and then it changes to another pic. Thanks – because I would have never seen it as a trivet on my own!

Dea

That ugly thing is a trivet? I guess I didn’t look closely, because I thought it was meatballs. LOL

I thought so too!

Just an fyi…I wanted to sign up for the monthly box. I used the code MSAWELCOME, which states that it can be use on any box subscription with them. When it came time to apply the code, their system said it was only good for a 3 month subscription. I backed away from even purchasing. That’s bad advertising on their part in my opinion.

Mel

I have done the exact same thing, I wanted to try Globe-In and used the code and then got to the end and had “sticker shock”! I wish they would allow new subscribers to have a discount on one month to try them out…

Reply ButtonReply

Ray

Try using “tryglobein”. Should be 50% off first box (no commitment to longer sub).

Ashleigh

I love subscription boxes and at first glance, GlobeIn looks like a good one. However, I found the items to be of variable quality. I also agree with Linnea that it was sometimes difficult to get the advertised items secondary to limited availability. Finally, shipping was sometimes difficult, leading to one of my boxes being refunded as the item I chose was no longer available. I was happy when my 3-month subscription ended, which I have never said about a subscription box before or since.

Completely agree with you, Ashleigh! I had a very similar experience. I was relieved when my 3 months was done.

$10 for cornbread mix. Really??

Reply ButtonReply

Beth

i thought i posted this, but I don’t see it listed…here we go again.

Globein is a box that focuses on doing SOCIAL GOOD. Why $10 cornbread? Because it’s also a social goods project you are contributing to.

The organization that produces the cornbread is the Women’s Bean Project – “a non-profit social enterprise in Denver. It believes all women have the power to transform their lives through employment. So it hires women who are chronically unemployed and teaches them to work by making nourishing food. Its 7-month long program provides job readiness training and crucial life skills classes to help women graduate into a full-time job in the community. Through their work at Women’s Bean Project, women learn to stand tall, find their purpose and break the cycle of poverty. Because when you change a woman’s life, you change her family’s life.“

But btw – if you look up the cornbread on Amazon, you’d actually pay more than the Globein Price of $10 for the box of that cornbread given it’s cost + non-prime shipping.

Reply ButtonReply

Karol

It doesn’t matter what a third party on amazon is selling them for. The bottom line is that the RETAIL price at women’s bean project is $4.75 so Globein is not likely paying more than half that, which is a standard for wholesale purchasing. BUT, since Globein advertises that it has 85000 subscribers, the odds are very high that they are paying even less than half price with that kind of volume purchasing. And anything you are paying Globein above that amount is going to Globein, NOT the makers. So, yes, everything good you said about women’s bean project is true but the $10 Globein is saying it’s worth is just them making up an inflated price for their own benefit. I’d rather spend my money directly at WBP and actually do more than fill Globein pockets with my money. And i can get two at that price.

The cornmeal is ground by virgins under a full moon. That’s what makes it more expensive. 😝

Stephanie

I know! Their prices make me laugh they’re so inflated.

Reply ButtonReply

Svetlana7e

Before they would send four items and some food item. Now they default to three items with increased price 🙁

GlobeIn

Hi Svetlana,

Thank you for your honest feedback and we hear you!

It is true that some of our box themes have more items than others and that is dependent on the total price of the items, and especially right now, what items we are able to get in from other countries at the moment. But, we always have the pricing of each item laid out and we always try to make the total cost of all products in a curated box to be around the same price.

This box does happen to only have 3 items in it because the dish is so large and at a higher price point. This dish retails at $45 which is what the typical cost of our boxes are in total. I hope this helps answer your questions but, if you do need any further assistance, please reach out to us at [email protected].

Thank you,
The GlobeIn Team

I would love this box as well as others that have been advertised. But when I was a member all these really good box choices were always gone and I would go on to pick within minutes. So they seem to be available in very low quantities.
