GlitzGlam July 2020 Review

This month’s GlitzGlam Box came with an info card that lists the products on the front, with a menu of items available for purchase on the back.

Glitz Glitter Pop in Barbie Girl – Listed Value $9.99

Who’s ready for the ultimate glitter glam? While I’m not generally big on glitter because it gets everywhere, I have taken a liking to this loose cosmetic glitter by GlitzGlam, probably because it’s pink…and I’m a sucker for pink anything. 🙂 When applied to skin, the glitter gives off an iridescent pink glow. This product is buildable, so build to your liking! GlitzGlam notes that their signature cosmetic glitter is lip, nail, skin, and eye safe.

J-Lash Ice Cream Lashes – Retail Value $5.99

Flirty, fun, dramatic – these words are very fitting for these beautiful 3D faux mink lashes in the style “Sprinkle.” Looking for volume? These lashes are it! I love how these lashes have a thicker band on top for easy application. I think these lashes work great for those new or old to the lash game! There are also detailed instructions on the back of the packaging for a flawless execution.

Italia Deluxe Buzzed N Blushed Palette, 18 g – Retail Value $4.99

This Buzzed N Blushed palette by Italia Deluxe is in the style “Rosé All Day” and these colors definitely made me want to dress up such gorgeous shades and drink a bottle of rosé! Okay, maybe just a glass, but these colors are so chic! I found that application with my finger allowed for more buildable pigmentation. The “Rose All Day” shade (see below) was my favorite. It complemented my skin color so well, and I didn’t need to apply a lot for it to be seen. The great thing about this palette is that it has a little bit of everything to glam up your look! From blushes to bronzers to highlighters- this palette is incredibly versatile!

Palette swatches (from top to bottom): Pink Cadillac, Moscato, Bourbon Cola, Rose All Day, Champagne, Cosmo.

I love how these colors complement my skin tone! They are also buildable if you’re going for a bolder look!

Vermillion Cosmetics Diamond Matte & Gloss Lip Duo – Listed Value $28.00

This matte and gloss duo is in the color “Posh & Peachy.” I love a good matte lippy that can endure a long work day or a fun night out without making your lips feel like a Sahara desert, and this does a pretty good job. This matte lipstick isn’t going anywhere! I had to use coconut oil to remove because soap and water weren’t going to cut it.

I am generally not a big gloss fan because I find them to be sticky, but this gloss is different! It was surprisingly very moisturizing and was a great complement to the matte side.

The Verdict: Overall, I am pleased with the items in this month’s GlitzGlam box. I enjoyed everything I received, my fave being the Vermillion Cosmetics Diamond Matte & Gloss Lip Duo! I loved the color of the matte, and the gloss wasn’t drying on my lips. The total value of this $15 box lands around $49, which is really great for paying less than $20!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Sadly, no, because they are preparing their August box. BUT, you can shop on their website and get similar items!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $15.00, but I estimate that I received $48.97 in value. That means each item approximately breaks down as follows:

  • Glitter Pop – $3.06
  • Lashes – $1.83
  • Palette – $1.53
  • Lipstick/Gloss Duo – $8.58

  1. I love every item in this box! That matte lipstick and gloss is gorgeous. It looks so pretty with your skin tone.

    • Thank you so much! The matte and gloss have been used the most since receiving this box. The matte is not drying at all and the gloss moisturizes perfectly. Also, the matte is just such a fun color!

  2. I would love to see pics of the glitter and lashes in action!

    • Yes! I need to do a makeup look using them both and post soon. 🙂

  3. I used to sub to them and think they’re wonderful but since they include, lashes, (the Glam part) and glitter of some form, (the Glitz part), each month and I don’t use either.. I canceled, but this box is great for those who do.

    • Thanks for that review! You’re right, you definitely have to be someone who is into glitter and lashes to fully enjoy the box offerings.

  4. All the swatches from the palette look so pretty on you! Those colors are great!

    • I agree those colors are perfect for you.

      • Thank you so much! I love how they highlight my skin color.

    • Thank you so much! I’m trying to find an excuse to go anywhere so I can experiment with the different colors. haha!

  5. Does the Glitz Pop have any ingredient information? Because if the glitter in it is PET (polyethylene terephthalate), it is NOT safe for eye use.

    • Hi! That’s a really good question. I didn’t see any ingredient information provided. I’ll need to do a little digging.
