CatLadyBox is always full of fun, cat-themed lifestyle items. Let’s see what was in store for August:
I love how the information cards have custom artwork every month. And the back has more information about the items in the box. This month has a "Cat Lady Life" theme.

Proud Cat Lady Shirt - Retail Value $19.99
Most months you will get a shirt. This is a good style for me. I am working from home and in need of new T-shirts because most of mine are old (like, from the early/mid 1990s when I was still in high school). This is a little loose (the smallest size available is S and I usually wear XS in shirts) so it is comfortable and it is pretty soft. I can even wear this out of the house on my one outing per week (to buy groceries) and/or exercise in it! These hold up pretty well to washing, in general. Also please note that I had some assistance with the photography and the cats made the shirt extra wrinkly.

Cat Lady Pint Glass Set - Retail Value $21.99
You will get a fair amount of drinkware with this subscription. I don't think we have received pint glasses yet. These are hand wash only (to preserve the decorations). That makes them not super practical for drinks for me since I have a dishwasher, but there is no reason I can't use them for other purposes, like holding pens or solder picks or paintbrushes or something of that nature. (I am setting up a craft room, eventually, where I will be able to keep such things out without fear of kitties knocking them over.)

Cat Lady Retro Keychain - Retail Value $9.99
You got to choose either black or plum for the keychain this month. I didn't have a strong preference but I chose plum, for once, just because. (Most of the time I say "surprise me" but I figured it was worth picking once and making sure they put the correct color in the box -- which they did.) This is meant to look like an old school hotel room key and yes, I remember those days, because I am over 40 and we did some road trips when I was a kid. We are always in need of keychains for various purposes and this one is large enough that it will be easy to find in my cavernous purse.
Cat Lady Box Vinyl Sticker - Retail Value $3.99
This is an extra item for the month. (Usually there are only five items.) I am not sure yet what I will put it on but I will hold on to it for some point in the future when I am going back in public again. (Actually, I have a tumbler for iced tea that I take into the office, when the office is actually open, which it hasn't been since March. That would be a good candidate for where to put the sticker. Eventually!)
Cool Cat Catnip Toy - Retail Value $5.99
This apparently came in several colors; we received a gray one. It is a catnip plush and it is really soft and on the small-to-medium side, which is a good size for my cats. It was definitely good for a few chin rubs from Monkey and Madison, which is mostly what they do with catnip plushes these days.
Cat Lady Flag Wand Toy - Listed Value $5.99
You can see this out of the package below It is a wand toy with a LONG stick part. Sneaky loved it, as you might expect, but MADISON also wanted to play with it. I was so surprised. He has been a total stick in the mud lately -- but he has had fun with this. (Sorry, Madison, you did great for pictures but you still have to go to the vet tomorrow for your annual vaccinations and bloodwork.) (Bonus cat hair in the photo...)

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $67.94 for the August 2020 (Crazy) CatLadyBox. I did have to take one of the values from the information card, but that's what the item will sell for once it is up in the CatLadyBox shop (the one not linked yet was not there as of the writing of this review). Maybe the glasses were a little repetitive, but I have a use in mind for them (plus I have been subscribing for a looooong time), and the shirt has already come in handy, and the toys were pretty well appreciated.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Officially your subscription would start with September's box if you order before the cutoff on the 26th, but way back when I signed up, I was contacted to say there were a few of the current month’s box left over and asked if I’d like one of those. So it may be worth inquiring.
