Boy this is much better than luxe what ahuge box of shi? That’s started off 4 prods in no premium or especially luxe prods, Quess I’m skipping this luxe Shaun an probably getting premium instead .. oh my #BOXYCHARM GET UR SHIF TOGETHER. B4 you

Um, dont we usually have the rest of the box contents up by now?? So it’s like we will get a wow item and just get left over stuff?? A month or so back I got a ace bronzer pallette that was in base box and my premium (and colors way too dark for me) and they showed did eyeshadow pallettes for premium, one was a PUR, when I got my box, it was a PUR “selfie ” pallette I had got over a year amd a half before and gave it away then….idk what was going on with them, but I couldnt even review it because the PUR pallette I got wasn’t an option to review, and the have bronzer wasnt even supposed to be in premium….

So I’m wondering what the rest of this month is going to look like…

I laugh at myself for considering sticking around and waiting for choice to open, only to see them add the moisturizer and the highlighter to popup BEFORE we are even allowed access to choice. It was like an hour before at that. So OF COURSE the highlighter left isn’t my shade and the moisturizer is gone. I have enough masks thanks. Cancelled instantly. We should be allowed to make our choices BEFORE it gets added to popup!!! At least give us an hour or something!

I want you to know that choice was open for less than TWO HOURS. Thats NUTS. Total rip off

I totally agree!

Premium choice is up. Highlighter was already gone, luckily, I wanted the MJ moisturizer and I picked that. Both were added to the shop.

Did they change the day??? I thought it was supposed to be the 13th??

That’s the same thing I was wondering. I really wish they could pick a date and time for things such as add-ons, pop-up sales and choice and keep it consistent or at least true to what the calendar says on their website.

Agreed. I think they feel like they can do whatever they want because they will still make money anyway, so they don’t care.
By the time choice was offered today, everything was “sold out” except the OLEHENRIKSEN and they added the others to the pop up.

I’m torn between the two. I would be happy with either skincare item. So many good reviews on both.

Also, Thanks so much to all of you here at My Subscription Addiction. You have a wonderful website and you’ve made a very fun and welcoming place for us to talk sub boxes.

There’s 3 items though. I like the 1st.

I have the Marc Jacob items already and like both. I have wanted to try the phat item for a while so I prob go with it. I would also get youthquake as an add on if offered to have another.

Word of advice to those thinking of choosing the highlighter. The smell is extremely over powering and smells like cheap sunscreen. I wasn’t super impressed with the glow when I bought it either. Felt drug store quality.

I bought mine when it first came out and mine is actually amazing. It’s not glittery and it has a coconut smell, it blends nicely as well. I wonder if you got a bad one or I got a good one?? I also bought it on sale in a sample thing when it first came out (before I invested in the full size) and it didnt have the issues yours did and that’s why I bought the full sized one…

Youthquake for me please!

Mary GT

These all look great, but I’m going to go with the Youthquake!

Amy Applegate

I have used the Youthquake – AMAZING!!!!!

I like the choices from the last two months a lot. My major interest is the Marc Jacobs Youthquake which first ingredient is pineapple (water) which is supposed to be amazing for vitamin c & e and brightening. All that pineapple stuff was hyped up last year but I never tried any specific products with it in it. Curious if it’s not as potent or effective though because it’s pineapple water not extract. This can be a positive or a negative because I have sensitive skin and a few articles mentioned that in a higher concentration, it can be irritating for sensitive skin and it is the first ingredient.. Anyone tried it that has sensitive skin here? Let me know your thoughts.

Is Premium still on a waitlist?

Karolina if you want to have a choice in your box you’d have to sign up today and get August’s box. Choice is always the month before so like the choice for Septembers box is tomorrow August 13th.

It says wait-list open.

I join the waitlist this Monday, and get the premium box next day, so no rush.

Ok so if I’m not interested in August’s premium, when would I more or less upgrade to avoid August? Or would I receive August’s box regardless? Lol I want to avoid product overload as much as I can.

Perhaps now it’s the same “waitlist’ as Luxe box?
I re-subscribe Premium at the end of May and got the June box.
But could also be because there were not many subscriber at that time.

I am glad to see that these are indeed “premium” items.

Personally, I am not going to use any of the three. The Marc Jacob gel has pineapple extract in it, which will totally irritates my skin. The highlighter got really lack-slacker reviews. I will probably go with the mask, but then I only use product like that once a week top, and I have quite a few similar products in my collection needed to be used.

The Phat Glow facial has excellent reviews on Sephora’s website.

Do any of you ladies know the cost of each of these items? Perhaps later I’ll have time to look them up

I had some time to kill 🙂
Ole Henriksen Phat Glow Facial Mask – $50
Marc Jacobs Youthquake Moisturizer – $89
Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter – $45

Kate of Spades

I think we’re getting regular size Marc Jacobs moisturizer (59$) cause the jar looks like 59$ one at Sephora. Still, awesome! I am not subbed for premium (tell me girrls, how do you use all the make up) so I hope it’ll show up at add-on sale.

I think the Marc Jacobs Youthquake Moisturizer – $89 is for the 3oz size. We are probably getting the 1.7oz size which is $59. No matter what, I’m really impressed with these selections.

Thanks for the clarification on prices! Sorry for my mistake on the pricing of it. I just googled it, and took the price off of the ad pictures that were shown, and chose to go with Sephora’s pricing, but didn’t pay any attention at all to the size that was being shown. Sorry!

Hi Luna!

At Sephora the Marc Jacobs moisturizer is $89 for the 3 ounce value size and $59 for the regular 1.7 ounce, 50 ml size. Since you put $89, do you know if we are getting the value size?

I thought the Marc Jacobs moisturizer is $59. That’s what it’s listed for on their website.

Awesome thank you so much. Now hmmm which one to choose huh. I’ve never tried any of these products before but gosh I’d love to try all 3

How do you subscribe? I can only find regular boxycharm

Lana, No, you’re not alone. Making you take Base to get Premium is pushy and greedy. Fortunately Base Box has had some good products lately and you can cancel Base after the first month.

Yes, for the first month. After the first month of base and premium, then you can cancel base box and just get premium.

Well at least it’s only for one month and then you can cancel base….but its Boxy, the way they do the things they do make you wonder constantly. Hahaha

Thanks! Am I the only one who thinks that’s kind of messed up?

You have to sign up for the regular box then add the premium box. Hope this helps

So you can only have basic boxy charm + premium? Premium is an add-on?

Ooh I want them all. After this month’s dud box I’m glad they’re making up for it!

Hope to try the OH mask!

BTW my digital insert is available online for one of my August boxes. Idk if the link works for others but if you want to see what you’re getting for August check out: boxycharm dot com /insertcard (make sure you’re logged in)

Thank you so much for the tip! My box is like a look in a box but I missed choice and I really wanted that Sunday Riley Retinol cream :(. Anyone want to trade?

Anyhow I got:
Banana Bright Primer
Ciate New England Editor Palatte (looks gorg)
Dermalect XL Lash Volumizer (curious if it works)
MAC Satin Lipstick (hoping its a color I’ll wear)
Milk Makeup Longwear Eyeliner
Fenty Brush 150

Thanks for the link! I see my premium box but not my base. Pretty happy though =)

OMG, my mind is blown! Thanks for the tip! I only see my Premium so far – I wonder if my base box will show too.

Didn’t work for me. Said it was only for those who got an email.

I bet they just have not even start working on my box.

This doesn’t work for me either…

It only shows up for me in months where they don’t include the cards in the boxes for me. It’s weird how sometimes they include them and sometimes they don’t. Two months ago, I could see both boxes I was getting, last month I couldn’t see either, and this month I can only see the Premium. I guess my regular box will have a card and my premium won’t.

Same here, also didn’t work for me…
I got the shipment email with tracking but it’s still in ‘label created’ step, so maybe they have not work on my box too.

Wow! I’ve never heard of this but just logged in and then typed in that website address and it looks like it totally worked! Thanks so much!

I’m all over that Youthquake.

Oh my, this looks tempting. Someone quick, talk me out of resubscribing!

Alice Rachal

Think about all the products they send that you won’t use!

Toni Marie

Now these are premium products… maybe I might resubscribe… I’m not sure

Agreed, I couldn’t believe my eyes either…
