June 2020 Petit Vour Review

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included, and the prices of the full-size versions.

Let's dive in!

Akar Skin Restore Eye Serum, 0.1 fl oz - Estimated Value $28.33 (Buy a full-size 0.3 fl oz for $85.00)

I am an Akar fan. The formulas feel really luxe, go a long way, and are super nourishing. I also think the cute packaging adds to my love! This is a tiny little bottle of eye serum, but you don't need much of this to over your eye area. This is an oil formula that kind of smells like... ramen? I mean, I certainly don't hate it! Inside there is a blend of fatty and rich oils (Baobab, Goji, Argan, Sunflower, Tamanu, Pumpkin, and more!) blended with antioxidant-rich fruit extracts. I like to pat this oil under my eyes before my night cream for an added moisture and nutrient boost.

Caley Cosmetics Beachy Kiss Lip Gloss in 'Mango Mojito', 9 g - Full Size! Retail Value $16.00

I love lip gloss! I also had never tried one from this brand, and when I first opened it and pulled out the applicator, it looked like there was very little product on the tip. Looks are deceiving because as soon as it hit my lips I realized this is much more of a true balm than a gloss, and there is a lot more product in each dip than first appears. It feels a lot more nourishing than your normal gloss and though the shimmer is subtle, it still makes an impact. It also has a delightfully fruity smell and taste! I loved this stuff.

Its sheer, but it seriously brightens my lips.

BKIND Nourishing Hand Balm, 50 g - Listed Value $16.00

I THINK this is may be the formula that used to come in a tub? I am not 100% sure though. Either way, I really enjoyed this stuff. It is certainly much more of a true balm than a cream, and depending on the temperature outside it is either difficult to get any out of the tube, or WAY too easy. Keep this one cool! It smells like geranium with a soft rose element so if you are a lover of florals (heck yeah!) you will love this. I will say that this does leave behind more shine than your typical cream, but the nourishment from the balm formula feels like it melts into your skin.

Kaia Naturals Takesumi Detox Deodorant in 'Sakura Blossom', 12 g - Retail Value $10.00

Natural deo has been a source of heartbreak for me because I eventually started having weird reactions to my favorite brand, due to baking soda. I wasn't scared to try this one though because it is more of an arrowroot+charcoal sort of deal. It did a pretty good job of keeping me (mostly) dry and I was smell-free all day, which I will totally take as a win! It has a sakura blossom scent but also some lavender notes, too. This might not be my summertime choice (it's been humid!) but this is certainly something I want to use more often in the fall and winter!

Verdict: This month's Petit Vour box was fun. I loved the eye serum oil and I am glad Akar keeps delivering nice formulas. Also a big fan of this lip gloss, too! It is a perfect and hydrating little add-on to my very natural routine these days (and it doesn't stain my mask either!). The BKIND balm feels great on my chapped hands and the deodorant was a surprising win. While I was unable to calculate the total value here, it more than felt like a good amount for an $18 box.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Your first box will likely be the July box. I recommend reaching out to Petit Vour to confirm!

Value Breakdown: At $18 for this box, each of the 4 items has an average cost of $4.50.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

PV told me that bc of variation they aren’t providing spoilers anymore. It would be great to see a review before the box sold out, usually around the 20th.

Hi Megan! Petit Vour’s June spoilers were posted only a few days ago after the box had sold out, and I’m guessing that you received your box before then for review, so I was wondering if it’d be possible to post spoilers from your box once you receive it going forward? I know it wouldn’t show all spoilers since PV now does variations, but it would at least give potential/current subscribers an idea of what could be included in the current month’s box. I’m not sure if that would be against Petit Vour’s rules for releasing spoilers since their box is gifted to you, and I know when companies gift boxes they may give strict instructions to not spoil the contents or do a review of the box until a certain date. I just thought I’d ask… it’s cool if you can’t though 🙂 I noticed Petit Vour has been inconsistent with the timing of their spoilers this year, and I still really do love this box, so I’m sure I’ll re-sub regardless eventually… and if they continue to release spoilers after the box is no longer available (a la Macy’s), then I’ll just think of it as a true discovery box. 😉

Hey Luna! This was a pretty quick turnaround review for me. Let me reach out to the team and see what we can do in terms of spoilers. Not 100% sure what the rules are, but let me find the right person to ask! <3
