Lip Monthly June 2020 Review

This little card lists a few of the items in our June box and their retail values. Please note that while the Appeal Cosmetics lipstick is listed, not all subscribers received this item (including myself) due to limited inventory.

Lip Monthly sends its products in a little makeup bag that holds all of your lippies. This design is cute!

Cargo Essential Lip Color in Dubai - Retail Value $22.00

I really love Cargo's packaging and this sleek silver tube is a nice size. This color appeared to be a nude which I was apprehensive about (they never work well with my coloring), but it turned out to have a bit more of a pink pigment to it. It applies smoothly and evenly since the tube diameter is just the right size for your lips. It's a comfortable formula too, and it had some good staying power!

It's actually a very natural looking shade for me. I feel like it perks my lips up just a bit!

Luna by Luna Lip Crayon in Pandora - Retail Value $18.00

I have only tried lip oils and glosses from this brand before, but this lip crayon was a nice change! The color is so vibrant in the tube and just one swipe can give your lips great pigment. It's like a glossy watermelon shade and it is so fun! This formula was another really smooth and comfortable one that wore well. It faded to more of a stain, but it still looked good because it is so pigmented. This formula is also cruelty and gluten-free.

It is definitely bright on my lips and it gives a nice subtle shine that I like!

Laritzy Lip Gloss in Trick - Retail Value $16.00

This lip gloss is so pretty! If you swipe you can see it has little bits of gold glitter in it which gives your lips a nice shimmer. It has a subtle vanilla scent too, which is pleasant, and the gloss is smooth and hydrating. It's a tad sticky, but it wasn't bothersome at all.

This was another really natural-looking color for me, but this one had high shine. I like it a lot!

Lord & Berry Ultimate Lip Liner in Mandarin, 0.02 oz - Listed Value $15.00 (I really don't think this is full size, but there is no size listed on the website so I couldn't confirm!)

This little lip liner was another one that looked like it might be much too bright and vibrant for me, but I was pleasantly surprised and actually loved it as an all-over color! It was a bit firm, but it softened up with use and easily covered my lip surface.

Here it is as an all-over color.

Here it is as a liner with the Laritzy gloss over it.

Here it is with a soft swipe of the Luna by Luna crayon over it.

Swatched from top to bottom we have the Lord & Berry, Laritzy, Luna by Luna, and Cargo.

Verdict: After swatching this month's Lip Monthly colors on my arm I was surprised to see how similar all of the shades were. Each of them has a slight coral pink hint to them, but they all show up so differently on my lips. I actually think they all work really well together and I've been having fun playing around with them and trying different combinations. I'm not sure which my favorite is, but between the four lip products, I think I have different levels of lip shades to match every occasion! Using a mix of retail and listed values the total comes to $71 which is great for a $12.95/month subscription with a promised value of $50+!

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

Another Dia

Is no one else disturbed to see that Luna by Luna product? Ipsy won’t even send them, or any of the other Dirty Little Secret cosmetics, out in boxes anymore. It’s cheap Alibaba stuff with a label slapped on it. Pretty sketchy.
