We have full spoilers for the August 2020 Kinder Beauty Box! (Thanks Luna!) If you sign up now, your first box will be the Kinder Faves box. Check out our review of the Kinder Faves Collection here. August will be the second box you receive.

Kinder Beauty Box is a box dedicated to delivering 100% vegan and cruelty-free products straight to your door each month. It is compassionately curated by Evanna Lynch and Daniella Monet, two animal lovers who also advocate for healthier beauty choices. Every detail of this subscription is eco-conscious from its 100% recyclable and biodegradable box to the eco-friendly soy-based ink used on the packaging.

In case you missed it, Kinder Beauty Box announced an update to the subscription:

Beginning in July, we will now be curating two different versions of each monthly beauty box.

As always, both box versions will be packed with skincare, makeup, hair-care products, and/or accessories that have been vetted, sampled, and hand-picked by our vegan beauty experts (Daniella Monet and Evanna Lynch) and that are guaranteed to be 100-percent vegan, cruelty-free, and clean beauty!

Each month, it will be a surprise which of the two boxes you'll be receiving, but you can rest assured knowing that they are always each going to be incredible in their own ways.

If you wait to sign up until on or after July 1, your first box will be our "welcome box," and your second box will be one of the two August Boxes).

Wondering what happens if you really, really, really wanted one of the monthly collections in particular but you receive the other?

No worries! At the end of the month, if we have any boxes remaining, we'll offer them to members only at an exclusive discounted price. This way, you won't miss out.

To me, this isn’t the same at all as the annoying and very unequal variations in Boxycharm and sometimes Ipsy. I felt both boxes both this month were excellent. I got the Jasmine, but I will purchase the Rose if it becomes available. I like both August boxes, and each of them has an item I won’t use (the hair scrub and the face scrubs, just not into scrubs!) but each of them have things I would love to try (Earth Harbor serum, Delia serum, Han lip gloss, Eco Lips lip & cheek tint). I love the quality products and the curation of this subscription.

You already received your box? I haven’t even received a shipping notification. Hmmm

I received it Saturday, but I live in the same city as Kinder Beauty. I got my shipping email yesterday.

I have so much already, except I have been needing a scalp scrub. I use a lot of product and it builds up. Darn it Kinder Beauty! Just let me pick!

As a person with super-sensitive skin, I tend toward these natural beauty boxes because they have things I can use, but I want to know what I’m getting first. Why would I buy one that is a total crapshoot? This is a terrible model.

I’ve always liked this sub, but I don’t like the direction they are heading in. I have zero interest in a “Welcome Box” and having a box randomly selected is also not for me.

I think if they provided a list of items that could be in the box, rather than just stating this is box A or box B – they would have less unhappy subscribers.

Why would I sign up for a Box to get a welcome box first (that I will pay for) and then get the months box that I want. Makes no business sense.

Sounds like they are not getting the deals they’d hoped for from the manufacturers and can’t meet current demand, doesn’t it? So the “welcome box” is leftovers while they figure out how to accommodate a new subscriber. I am thinking that these are signals of a painful end. A shame, but for $24 I want to know what I’m getting, or get to choose an item.

This new business with two boxes and which one you receive is totally random: do you think it’s because they have more subscribers than products?

I think so and because I did not think/feel that the boxes were “equal” in value, I have cancelled my sub with them and switched to one that does not have variations. To me, variations (even with the best of intentions) equals someone being shortchanged.
