FlourishBox "In Bloom" 2020 Review

The first item is the insert card, providing some information on the items you will find in your box. It emphasizes their focus on ethically sourced products. The workers who make these items are paid fairly and work in safe spaces. I think this is really important and this adds so much value to this subscription for me without even knowing what is in it.

100% Silk Scarf

I think this might be the first pink scarf I have ever gotten from this subscription? I love it! The pink shade is soft and not "too pink" and the design on top is composed of white lines and geometric orange bits. It reminds me of a very abstract citrus pattern which is very, very summer. I am always happy with a silk scarf and this one is on the raw side. The whole thing has a lot of texture and while it has shine, it isn't super shiny. The square shape and large size make it great for wearing around your neck or as a headband when wrapped. I also have a set of clips set up in my office where I can hang posters or tapestries and this is pretty enough to go up there next time I cycle through my color schemes.

I mean, I love pink. Hook, line, sinker.

Slice of Handmade Soap

This is a pretty thin slice of soap, but it is also pretty dense so it should last a while. I can't quite place the scent. There are certainly some berries and woods in here.

Heart-Shaped Pumice Stone

A pumice stone was on my shopping list because my feet need some attention! Happy to scratch that off the list since this little heart-shaped one fell into my lap from this box.

Verdict: FlourishBox sent a scarf in one of my fave colors this month. I love that light pink, especially with the orange accents! And in silk? Awesome. This box is on the pricer side for the contents, but its also a box truly focused on fair wages and handmade items, so the price feels totally worth it if you are a scarf collector who also wants to support a socially conscious subscription that values treating artisans with respect while still delivering nice things.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? I believe so, but feel free to reach out to the Thread Flourish team to confirm!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

Brilliant idea – arranging a set of clips in your office to hang posters, tapestries, and now the lovely scarf. I believe I’ll try that myself (if you have time, please elaborate on the size, etc. Thanks!).

Hi Irene! The scarf measures about 40 inches across! Its is pretty big! I use normal office clips suspended on nails. It isn’t super glamourous, haha!

AH

You look genuinely heavenly (and remarkably beautiful – you’re beautiful all the time – but something about the pink scarf brings out the beautiful pink cheeks you have making you mite beautiful than usual). Ugh I have such a way with words, was concerned that if I didn’t elaborate you’d ponder if I normally find you beautiful, lmao. I obviously do but I must work on how to word my compliments hahaha.

I am so flattered AH! Seriously. Pink is one of those magical colors I think. I appreciate your kind compliments very much. <3

What lipstick are you wearing? Great pic of you!

This was right after I wiped off a lip crayon. You can still see some of it in the edge of my lip that I missed! Before I wiped it away, it was the crayon from my July LiveGlam Lippie Club.
